What happened to the "bubblegum bass" movement? Anything new?
I figured as much. Just that this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAOBP5ALxpg - Disclaimer: 2pleb4u) had become a huge guilty pleasure on me lately, and thought I could build on this interest.
GFOTY's new track is pretty inaccessible...
>New Rinse FM Podcast
>Maxo and GFOTY made a song together
>Lil Data released an EP
>Onika made a creepy DJ mix
>New Danny L Harle single
>internet forum shit
>having any effect on the actual artists
I'm seeing shit about PC Music without even seeking it out. For example I was reading Pitchfork's review of Objekt's album and they randomly namedropped Sophie and PC Music and linked to this article
Vaporwave never got that treatment from mainstream sites.

Seriously I'm a huge fan of this whole Bubblegum Bass movement mainly because of the lyrics. The sound is interesting and the more 'inaccessible' a track is (ie My Song), the better I like it, but what has truly hooked me SOPHIE were the lyrics. They're so silly and uplifting, no shitty deeper meaning behind them, just pure fun.
Listen to GFOTY - Secret Mix
Not sure why it's so popular...
this. that song is fucking arousing as hell. maybe because i have a fetish for girly/sluty/sissy stuff.
Nah, GFOTY is a grill.
