Step your bump game up lads.
Tune of the thread:
I meant it in terms of personal preference. A lot of people like it, I prefer my Grime to be more closer to dark UKG/2Step like it was when it first came out.
It's really a Grime album to be fair so it's not a great criticism of it.
It'd make sense that I like it then, I don't really like any other grime (usually don't like bleeps), it's usually not ~experimental~ enough for me. That's why I like Actress as well, he always seems to be pushing his bleepy style to something beyond it
When listening to new /bleep/ tracks, do you always listen to them entirely?
I usually skip most of the track and only listen to a few parts, then if it sounds about right to me, I add it to a playlist and get back to it when I have more time to concentrate.
For instance, I do that on my soundcloud feed because it would take more time than a life counts to hear everything entirely.
So basically, I almost only listen to bits of tracks during the week (plus a mix during the way back home), and on week ends, I listen to everything I stored that sounded good, and decide if they are actually worth it.
I know this is stupid, because I'm missing lots of tracks that require multiple hearings, but there is just too much new music...
I'm feeling I would need at least 3 human lives if I wanted to give every artist/album/track a chance.
Sure, that's what magazines/websites/blogs are here for, but I would prefer to rely only on my personal judgement.
Been jammin to this lately. Nothing real new but I thought it was pretty solid.
You guys only talk about the buig artists or can anybody just post their shit too?
it comes from garage. they were all garage mcs y'know saying random stuff on the beat. but then they got sick of having all these random female vocals and strings and stuff all over the place because they'd be halfway into a bar and then they'd have to stop. so they created their own version of garage which was more stripped back to allow their voices to be heard better. they also just wanted it to sound ruder to reflect their lives in rough council estates, while garage was all about luxury and diamonds and champagne and shit. it's not hip hop. they're just mcing
yes normal flac and 24 bit
which one you want ill get it, since i seem to not be seeding anything anyways
only thing ill up though my speeds not good anyways
and i was more asking which releases should i get personally cause i never looked into either label
>they were all garage mcs
Not only that a lot of them were Jungle MCs and DJs before that.
