The Old One:
>crystal castles remix

Working on another track, it's a tad harsher and more traditional. Also messing around with tapes at the moment

Already followed. But just wanted to say the new track is pretty dope. Lots of really great atmosphere to it.
I really like the where the vocals come in about half way through the track

Just looking for suggestions on how i should progress with the beat.
Production tips & tricks would be appreciated.
I've been making a lot of House&Bass recently but decided to move on to Hip Hop as i felt i learnt quite a lot from making other genre's that i could pull over into producing Hip Hop beats.
An accapella would be nice if anyone could send me one also.
Thanks for listening if you do, appreciate every single listener, will respond with feedback to all.
Singer/Songwriter, looking for feedback, thanks for listening.

>No specific Genre, but a lot of electronic shit
I'll be keeping an eye on your SC for that.
Let me give it a few listens and I'll get at you on SC. At first thought i feel like it might get a bit too repeatative, and it wouldn't have that excellent moment where the choir kicks in.
I cover I did last night of Lykke Li's "Little Bit"
Will be dropped feedback at random
Dope beat using a SnK sample.
>Lofi Diy Punk Nerd Rock

>ambient, piano, collage of small melodies
looking for genuine feedback and impressions on the song probably going to delete it after so i can finish it. since i know the threads are mostly gun n run just posting your own stuff and not listening to others unless it's to follow4follow or only clicking someone elses if they comment on yours i'm gonna give my own feedback and thoughts on a bunch of stuff in the thread
listening to right//left. not into trap n that much, good sounding synths and musical ideas. the trap drums bring the coolness down but that's just me being anti trap. also as i get further on into the song i don't think the musical ideas are developed or progressed very well.
beautiful intro. i don't like the sound that repeats throughout the song that's like a twang whop whop whop with the delay on it. it's mostly that it's placed on the first beat every time and that's an awkward place for it i think. for some reason i pre-emptively thought the drums would ruin the song but i really like your drums. good sound design and melodies throughout the track. kick feels 2loud on the last 3 min onward section, i think the music would be better suited to slightly quieter drums but the timbre of the drums is fine for purpose
don't like the main melody nor do i like the mc for either their performance or lyrics. drums are the only thing i like on this song. the psshhh drum sound that is on every 2nd and 4th beat sounds bad.
more talking bout music in next post
>sadkid, lofi, blanketmusic
vinyl cracks annoy my ears. cute melodies though 30 sec of those then the only change to the track is a drum beat? na son it won't do. my left ear is hungry listening to this song. the song as a whole is admirable for the individual parts and for how they blend together but arrangement is bad. the kick that comes in at 1:50ish onward is for SURE too LOUD. i think that's meant to be a substitute for mixing it in well or you didn't notice, i dunno, but it's really annoying. this song could have been shorter for sure, i'd love to have heard some of the parts in the 2nd half of the song earlier on
vinyl crack intro, course m8. interesting synths and melodies i like the gloomy and almost suffocating feel of the main pad. that kick drum is TOO LOUD WARNING WARNING. boring trendy drums in general. might be personal preference kicking in but the main verby pad thing is the only thing i like in this track. that 2 min~ guitar soundin thing is pretty good but i wish it had its own melody instead of just following the already in place melody. i think i just very vaguely heard a vocal sample that was cool too.
starting melody is great needs a different and better synth to give it more presence. also at as lower tempo it could really be made into something. other sounds/melodies and the drums are a bit weak. vocal samples are cool, that + the starting melody with a stronger sound could really be the foundation to a great track
> experimental / sample collage
man, I haven't posted in a SC in years.
I'm not entirely seeking validation or advice as I still haven't found "my sound".
If you have something meaningful to say then by all means, chances are I wont follow you, because I can't be bothered with soundcloud circle-jerk shenanigans.

My track "Arcus" I made with a guy I met here on a /mu/ SC thread. Feel free to check it out and enjoy.
i am >>51335399 and i'm actually looking for people to listen and give me shit so feel free
it's a shame that the only feedback that isn't just a five word pat on the back is taken personally and as a threat, i'm just giving my thoughts as i listen through and of course only want you anons to be the best you can be. whether or not i'm right or you agree with me isn't too important but i hope someone takes something from it
>instrumental, chill, lofi, mood
the drum and guitar combo second track is dynamite but i wish the guitar was centre panned. last track is cute too though the distortion is more annoying than it is useful to the feel of the track
the kanye remix is pretty catchy and kind of cool. the synths have too much presence and volume over top of the drums though in your style of music drums need to be clear and powerful above everything else. it's like you can barely tell in the chorus that you change the drum pattern half way through. anyway it's pretty cool and imaginitive
Thanks for the input. I totally agree. I tend to minimize the volume of the drums during production because I always feel they are too loud. Its not until after the final export that I realize the drums are just a bit too quiet. Thanks again.
> it's not as pretentious as you think, i promise) conceptual art electronic I make in lieu of therapy, it's generally said to sound like tobacco or animal collective, but there's a whole lot of switching up of sound and style
The popular slut club song that's newest on there is from an upcoming short album of frantic beat tunes
Here's a music video for the first two movements off my most recent album
haunt ruminations I & II: http://youtu.be/DtoMXO7-Kak
If you want to sample my tracks, go ahead.
and yes im a emo fag
Thanks. You're right about the last track.
I've recorded a million different versions, but that was the only one I had on my hard drive at the time.
Originally it had an organic brassy keyboard soun, bit now I'm trying it with vocals (no lyrics).
I often make a decent mix, then come back and ruin it while overwriting the old one ;_;
My latest ep. Let me know what you guys think! I leave all my feedback and comments on the cloud.
> stoners, improv, noise, experimental, joke "music", utter garbage
Our music is shit, but we have fun doing it. Also, new album out on our bandcamp: "Cathedral Camp"
>Singer-songwriter, indie pop, bedroom symphony
>House, garage, deep, tech etc.
i'm a pretty amateur producer trying to make some instrumentals, i'm going to go leave feedback on soundcloud
All the guitar stuff so far is improv, the ambient is all computer made.
If you don't like noise and drone then don't even bother listening.
