What is the biggest country that is also the most devoid of talent?
My vote goes for Ukraine. save for some metal I haven't seen them produce anything worthwhile.
>that is also the most devoid of talent
Russia obviously, save for classical music from ages ago I haven't seen them produce anything of actual worth ever since then. Ukraine comes a close second.
Australia has so many good bands what are you even saying.
and yes you can include third world countries as countries. Just because they've never released a /mu/core album doesnt mean they don't have a music scene going on. Even fucking african tribes have music ffs.
I wonder if mu actually knows there's music out there that isnt in album and albums that aren't reviewed by p4k
>this whole continent
>not a single talent
>only band anon knows is die antwoord
i swear to god
Possibly Algeria (chaabi gets old very quickly), Mongolia (b-but muh throat singing makes up for the fact that the country has next to zero cultural value after it got soviet'd), Iran (culturally dead since Persia stopped being a thing) or Kazakhstan.
i wasnt saying africa doesnt have talent, i was pointing out how ridiculous >>51643287
I know how much talent there is in Africa even though the conditions are not favourable.
>Canada (even some of those Caribbean countries have better output)
>Paraguay (do they even have music?)
>Spain (like the only major European country that I don't have dozens/hundreds of albums from)
>China (seems to not be into the whole music thing or at least I haven't come across it)
>Algeria (unless I'm forgetting someone, I know it's racist but I usually lump African artists together since their countries are completely arbitrary and were invented by white men)
>Australia (seriously? why so shit? there's like three good artists from their entire history)
>The 49th Parallel
>Quest for Fire
>Godspeed You! Black Emporer
>Death From Above 1979
Yeah, no. I'm Canadian. But as a country it falls pretty flat. Plus, most of it tries too hard to be American. There isn't enough of a music culture here and that is one of the very few things I'm disappointed in about this country. Sure, there's plenty of good bands but half of those I only know about because they get pushed on Canadian programming to meet the quota. That doesn't really count.
One artist does not make up for an entire country.
>unless I'm forgetting someone, I know it's racist but I usually lump African artists together since their countries are completely arbitrary and were invented by white men
Keepin it classy /mu/
>nothing of worth
nah, more feels in this than in all mucore combined
russian folk music >>>>>>>>>> other folk music
>the premiere exporter of minimal techno in the world
>a cultural wasteland
