saying vaporwave is dead=
you are admitting it's getting popular
you're building an artificial barrier that could prevent you from hearing some genuinely good tracks
you foster an atmosphere of pointless negativity toward future expression
stop it already you stupid fucks
>you're building an artificial barrier that could prevent you from hearing some genuinely good tracks
>genuinely good tracks
Cool, how's about showing me some then, because I've heard exactly zero
vaporwave is fucking dead loser. Everyone credible producing vaporwave has already moved on and left it for dead ages ago and doing their own thing now. You should too faggot if you have claim to have the slightest amount of originality and artistic credibility at all in music expression.
Name one notable vaporwave release this entire year without viraling your or one of your dumb autistic friend's or some shitty /mu/tant's release.
Pro-tip: you can't
Yung Bae - Bae
I only "discovered" this type of music this year. I'm prepared to be patient with it. It's very polarizing music, and a lot of the time, lazy ppl will just take massive hooks/samples and base the whole "song" around it...
Still, I like this album. I paid a dollar for it lel
I'd barely give Yung Bae the label of vaporwave, he is doing the same nostalgic neo-disco sort of stuff that Saint Pepsi was doing last year, just with a le meme name for maximum meme exposure on memecloud.
holy shit, you are one miserable fucking faggot
i think yung bae is shit too, but seriously why are you full of such hatred of some faggot who makes shit music? why even put an ounce of thought into it?
I'm still a big sucker for chillwave, which is how I stumbled into it.
I only really like Toro y Moi (tho the Les Sins EP was crap), and Neon Indian, though :/
I'm not really up on music; I'm just that guy that says "I don't know what genre this is...but I like it". Like Breakbot.
In other words, I should probably leave /mu/ immediately.
because I like to shitpost about vaporwave being dead with my ironic vapor trip for fun and guaranteed replies
why are you replying to a trip posting obvious bait in a thread about a dead genre?
important to me personally, when compared against the rest of vaporwave releases that I have listened to. Vaporwave pretty much reached its maximum creative capacity in around the beginning of 2012
>1-2 threads on /mu/ every day, often hitting bump limit
>more albums released in 2014 than any other year so far, with a fuckload of them exploring new directions
vaporwave was dead in 2013, but in 2014 it came back to life
what the fuck? are you actually autistic or something? you ask for "important" vaporwave of 2014, then state you only mean "important" to you? so effectively you're saying that you want us to recommend you albums that are personally important to you?
Fuck off nerd, name one artist that has introduced any new ideas surrounding vaporwave or made any significant expansion of the aesthetic or sonic palette of vaporwave in the last 12 months.
Lol no thanks man, I don't want to listen to your half-baked release you made 12 months after vaporwave died. I can understand why they were released so late though because it would have taken you a while to learn how to use a DAW after discovering Macintosh Plus on Tumblr a few months ago
hello i am viralling again
thanks for tuning in
>Discovering Mac+ on tumblr a few months ago
I disagree with you about there being no good releases in 2014 but that statement is so on point. A lot of newfags to the genre who have absolutely no clue what vaporwave actually is are ruining it because of this. there's no memes on mu as far as vaporwave goes, but man on r/vaporwave it's become flooded by tumblrfags
>being butthurt by things
>trying to defend a faux-genre
>trying to start a defense for something
