Lets make this a good one and give feedback to one another.
Hey, I've been trying to decide on a name and I've came up with a few please let me know what you think or if you have any good ideas.
my name at the moment is lewis the funky hip fellow which is too long in my opinion.
So heres my ideas
I'm quite a lazy dude
combination of my first and last name but not sure if its very remember-able or catchy, really not sure on this one.
Not too fussed on this one.
Can't decide I want a name I can proudly say and stick with please help!
I make relatively ambient guitar compositions.
I swear if this one gets deleted too.
Trying to finish a new track. Anybody got any recordings of rain? I'm having a tough time finding some that aren't 10 hours long.
looking for feedback on this long ass solo I recorded for my thrash metal band:
I don't think any of those names are reflective of your music. I think you you should keep Lewis as the second word, and make something up for the first word.
Smooth Lewis <-- something like that, but not that.
New EP! Hope this thread doesn't get deleted! I return all the feedback I get on SoundCloud!
>lofi rock maybe
I just finished this. I don't care what you think but please tell me anyway.
we still love you.
*****NEW TRACK UPLOADED*******
FIRST TRACK IS BRAND SPANKIN NEW AND EXPERIMENTAL AS FUCKL
LOOKING FOR PSYCHO EXPERIMENTALIST RAPPERS
new ep out!
Thanks dude. :)
Hey I've been asking people around that liked my EP, do you think you would want a cassette copy? I'm thinking about getting them made and they'll be cheap. I just need to get my hands on a cassette deck that hasn't crapped out. Pic related is a crappy printing I did with my printer at home and edited to look like it should actually look. Thoughts?
> dnb, hip hop, breaks
> feedback returned
>we're constantly on the edge..
>me and my bandmate/roommate hate each other
>weird situation (i keep his equipment 24/7)
but here we are trying to make a living off this. one day...
anyways, i have only our rap instrumentals uploaded we are writing/working on our "EDM" tracks right now.
>experimental hip hop
>INFLUENCES: baths, flylo, shlohmo, flume, mr. carmack, aphex twin, nirvana, the beach boys, your mom, and radiohead.
thanks for listening, yo! I have a new album in the works, and I'm pumped about it.
Really enjoying this
>breakcore, chopped riffs
I usually chopped others' songs for melodies for breaks, but I decided to record some of my tracks to chop. two electric guitar tracks, an acoustic track, a bass guitar track, and a couple pieces from my drum kit. only samples are actual breaks and some vox.
Bashed this out today - droney acoustic with samples. Feedback welcome!
>instrumental, chill, dream, film
New album single
>Instrumental Hip-Hop / Rap / Vaporwave / Trap
>acoustic and analog and vocals and things and stuff
>folksy but also spaced out
>garage rock, work in progress
Yes,some parts are boring without vocals. Workin' on it. Vocals aren't finalized and will be re-recorded. That aside, it's our newest single!
>coolhop and chill
Will return feedback
>my album is cuming soon
Feedback returned, kindly.
>lo-fi pop, fuzz pop
You guys write some excellent pop songs and should record some more stuff.
The recording is really rough but the song is cool. Would love to hear what you guys sound like recorded a little better
>folk, acoustic, lofi etc
>Rock I guess
>First of my kinda serious solo stuff
I do like the direction you took with this, but I do wonder what it would've been like if you'd half-timed the drums. Maybe thats just the trap in me speaking though
80s Workout dance Detuned synth warped melody space jams.
Old as dirt. But still fun ^_^
>>chip, IDM, lush, candy, D&B
listening now. I like the track itself, it could use a different mix and the vocals are lacking. you arent the best singer, but you said it wasnt complete yet and i get that. some advice though- you arent always on key but if you sing louder you can make up for it by just putting power into it. possibly even run the vox through a tiny bit of fuzz- just something to get them more raw. it'll fit the song better. but over all sing a LOT louder. keep it up dude!
On "Glory" you should ditch the drum set and replace them with timpani and other percussive elements. The drums just don't feel like they fit with the rest of the piece.
Feedback always appreciated.
Fair enough, thanks for listening! I'm the bassist, by the way. It's probably going to change up even more in the coming weeks, but we're definitely going to re-do the vocals.
Hmm thanks for the opinion, I can't think of anything else to start it off with but i'm starting to quite like lazy lewis, I'l probably give it a few more days of brainstorming this but really appreciate the response!
>Trap influenced beats
Also not too keen on my artist name give me ideas :)
>instrumental hip hop
If you send me a message on SC i'll check your shit. I'll be waiting.
>mellow electronic bedroom productions
will be leaving feedback on soundcloud.
i'm singing slowly. A vocal teacher would probably slap me but I don't really want to sing with technique, just however it comes naturally, so pls don't call me bad.
The rest of the stuff ranges from post-rock to noiserock to progressive? to idk, I don't try to aim for genres.
IDM/Skibidy Bop Music
>minimal/ synth heavy electro
>mostly half tracks and experiments and stuff
Writers block, too stressed out to come up with even the simplest thing bah. Will return feedback
i return all feedback, gonna check out the thread
Funny thing is, I don't have one either. I've been trying to borrow some to make the tapes but the sound has been weird on all of them so far. Tried 3.
I'm considering getting a nice cassette deck just so I can support my fellow /mu/sicians and maybe buy a cassette here and there from bigger name artists if I like them.
No pressure to buy one just for my release though. haha
smoke a blunt to this
Remixed Mike Posner's Please Don't Go
Have a listen :)
