Incredible String Band
yes, but do you love Red Krayola?
here's images (3)
This is one of most underrated psych albums, really really good.
it is good. lots of psych albums are underrated, because not enough people talk about psych here
ITT: God tier 60s/70s psychedlic with an eye on the cover
fuckin christ i love the album artwork on psychedelic albums
Second this. Check out some West African stuff from the period. They were copying all the psych they heard from the west but with crazy rhythms and shitty organs and stuff. Pic related, good comp to start with.
in the theme of non-US/Europe psych...
that tropicalia influence
props for picking my fav song on the album! and yeah Os Mutantes are not to be passed up on. if you haven't / aren't fluent in portugese look up english translation for the lyrics, theyre pretty great
just a curiosity: the lyrics to bat macumba are a visual poem. the sentence "bat macumba" is first deconstructed then reconstructed, which kinda makes a triangle, representing half of the brazillian flag
>not posting the big bad best chart
i'm pretty close to listening to every album here, and most of it is really good, with a few let downs
totally bragging, feels pretty nice
really this whole thread has been excellent, not a bad album posted
Seriously, fuck that Blue Cheer album. I hate it so much!!!!
well I'd say it's more like 60%! especially since some of those barely fit in with psychedelia at all
plenty of good shit I just think quite a few albums could be cut, and there's no reason for a chart of that size in any genre
>there's no reason for a chart of that size in any genre
i tend to disagree, for people who are wanting to get into psych and know the essential well and want some more underground/not as well known albums that chart is a pretty good source
