Do you guys read the rest of this site? /mu/ seems like a fully seperate community. I sometimes go on /lit/ and /g/ but that's about it.
You could say that about lots of boards. Nobody would use /mu/ if it separated from 4chan for the very reason you've already addressed. Most folks have a main board and some other boards that they occasionally visit.
/mu/, /fit/ and /int/ are what keep me here
/mu/ /tg/ and /x/ here.
>tfw i can never speak about my interests to people
/v/ used to be my main board but I've been going there less and less recently and I don't think I've been there in the last couple of weeks at all. I'll sometimes go to /sp/ if there's sports on that I'm interested in though with NFL being close to over not much right now. Also I've been going to /x/ quite a lot recently. I'm actually on there right now.
/a/ for actual discussion [s4s] for funposting and occasionally /mu/ when [s4s] isn't ebin enough (it gets slow at night)
Man, I stopped browsing /b/ 4 years ago after they tracked down a chick after she delivered (tits and sharpie in pooper) and sent em to her family members on Facebook.
They're fucking terrible people.
That sucks. I never really used /sp/, but I heard its board culture was top notch during its prime. I fear for the day that /fit/ is turned into nothing but generals. I feel like it's one of the last bastions for semi-relevant shitposting on 4chan.
never got how it's funny or even clever. if someone insults you, closing your ears/the monitor doesn't help bc you will remember those things for the rest of your life. but i guess i'm being a fag about this.
I think it's more about stepping away from social media if you encounter harassment. Not that folks are really "asking for it" when they defend themselves, but people fuck with sensitive folks because it elicits a certain response. "Don't feed the trolls" is what he's getting at.
/sp/ and /mu/ used to be board bros or some shit. There would be "official" /mu/ threads on /sp/ and "official" /sp/ threads here.
Now /sp/ is too busy with it's eternal thread for a single mediocre soccer team to let Power Ranking threads hang around
Also cyberbullying kind of undermines real bullying which is a much more serious issue. Bullying can and often does result in physical assault, and it's not something you can easily walk away from. Cyber bullying is always something you can walk away from
Used to be /mu/, /ck/, and /tv/ for me.
Lost interest in /tv/ after the non-stop underage waifu threads. Tried browsing last month, but they appear to have been culturally enriched by /pol/.
The /pol/ invasion of /ck/ hasn't been nearly as bad, but alcoholic threads seem to have become quite common there.
it's not clever it just showcases how insensitive this fucker is since he obviously doesn't understand what it means to be bullied
e.g. finding out your whole school has a facebook group where they talk about how autistic you are could push some1 off the deep-end even if they never saw the group
I main /mu/ and /co/ for the most part because I'm a faggot who still watches cartoons. I jump on /tg/ every now and then, sometimes /r9k/ as well and used to browse /m/ and /a/ but I haven't been those boards in awhile
/mu/ for memes and discussion
[s4s] for ebin memes
i used to go on /lit/ but once i actually learned shit about literature i got bored and frustrated with it
i scroll through /fa/ from time to time (but i'm sure as hell not effay)
2015 OBJECTIVE BOARD POWER RANKINGS:
2. Any and all porn boards
I agree, I can't really speak for either side because I was never bullied, but bullying is a subjective experience. It carries different weight with different people, just like all problems. If cyberbullying really hurts someone, even if it could have been prevented, it's an issue that effected them
/mu/, /fit/, and /x/ during the Halloween season.
3 hour wrestling practice. Is that good enough for you?
/a/ and /fa/, sometimes /v/ and /int/
Used to hang out a lot on /sp/ in 2011-2012 but then it turned to endless generals and I only come here during CL games/other big competitions now. The WC threads last year were good though, remidned me of better times.
Agree with >>52986258,
/g/ is my main board, I go on /vg/ when I'm playing games, porn boards are given, go on the rest as i'm in the mood. I go on /b/ when im drunk with friends at 3 am and want to freak people out with gore and stupid shit
/mu/, /lit/, and /fa/ are the only boards I go on.
Im not even white
/mu/ has the least /pol/ seepage, so it's really the only board I care for.
/r9k/ is awful but I do go there to wallow.
If a good movie comes out I'll go over to /tv/ and then get reminded why I stopped browsing there.
/mu/ for music even though it's my least favorite userbase
/fit/ for brotherly conversation
/pol/ for keeping up with current events even though most people there are crazy
/tv/ for funposting
The porn boards are shit.
>Slow as fuck
>No conversation or discussion
>People making threads for 3 pictures of their ugly 50 year old wife, or their bizarre shit fetishes that no one wants to see
>Occasional autist having a meltdown about how THAT'S NOT LATEX IT'S PVC
I've started going on /pol/ more. It's not as bad as people say, if you can ignore the edgy "gas the kikes" posters. A lot of people there know their shit when it comes to politics and history, if you're lucky you can have interesting debates.
/mu/ and /lit/
sometimes /an/ i like them and i find the reptile and aquarium threads interesting
honestly drifting further from /mu/ towards /lit/, still only lurk there though
/mu/ is kind of really shitty guys
I went to /pol/ just a couple weeks ago right after that Paris attack just to see what they were saying about it and my CPU usage shot up pretty high and that page was running slow. I assume from the scrolling "trigger warning" things that are on every post and whatever other scripts they have running on there now. And my computer is pretty good.
For some reason moot tried to nuke /pol/ with stickied shitpost threads, word filters, and no post limits (so it turned into [s4s] lite), but as of a few days ago he's reverted it back to normal since people continued talking about politics and Jews anyway.
/mu/ and /sp/ are my two main boards
used to go to /pol/ for happenings
occasionally go to /lit/ and /tg/
/tv/ if I really want to discuss a movie/show but my god that has always been a horrible board
I go on /mlp/ and /co/, but 70% of the time I go on /mu/.
It doesn't undermine it. Just because they share letters doesn't mean that they are treated as equal with equal actions taken against them. Bullying is a major issue I'm passionate about, and cyberbulling is something I'm less-so. It doesn't take away from how serious bullying is.
Its funny and people there actually are nice. The fake niceness attracts real nice people. Its a board that is just so saccharine its addicting while letting you funpost about literally everything you want.
/lit/, /mu/, and /mu/
pretentious dickhead trifecta.
I think you will never have a good community for music discussion on the internet. (Well at least not an entire forum's worth) I think there are some great aspects of /mu/ that keep it from getting as shitty as certain online music communities, I'm over trying to fix it. I think that there will always be shitposting, you should just ignore it and find a thread that you can push the discussion forward in.
/mu/ is pretty similar to the rest of 4chan, but there's more trips and less bigotry.
I spent a lot of time on /int/, but it gets a little creepy to see some people sincerely insist that all Jews should be murdered.
