This is a share thread for albums that are good.
They don’t have to be some genre-defining masterpiece, but they need to be good.
They can be classics everyone should have heard already or some obscure tape that was recorded in a shipping container in Papua New Guinea on a Fisher Price™ Sing Along Tape Recorder. It doesn’t matter. If it’s a solid release, post it. I’ll start.
Planxty - Cold Blow and the Rainy Night (1974)
>Essential celtic folk. Listen to the sample and you will understand.
Jose Gonzalez - Veneer
>Singer/songwriter, folky, youveheardthischordprogressionbefore core. Really well done. Doesn't have that whispy voice that so many in the genre do these days.
Andrew Bird - I Want to See Pulaski at Night [EP] @ V0
>One man indie folk. Beautifully done. Sample is the only song on the album with vocals. Best listened to from start to finish.
Sharing this whenever I can.
Audio Safari - Urunosora 320kbps
>Electronic, dream pop
Yu Gi Oh! The Movie OST
>criminally overlooked release
Atmosphere - God Loves Ugly
>It's feelsy and feel good. Introspective and interesting. Backpacker's best-of. If you haven't heard it, now's the time.
Black Pistol Fire - s/t
>Hipstery dance rock. It doesn't really bring much new to the table while still having a great, fresh sound, if that makes any sense.
HNAS - Im Schatten der Mohre
>sound collage, industrial, krautrock
Carl Carlton - Carl Carlton
Unrest work and play - Informs
>post-punk, avant-prog, zolo
Efterklang - Parades [V0]

Coil - Time Machines
>Drone that will put you in a trance. Turn off the lights at night, get in bed, throw on your headphones, and pop this on. It will take you somewhere.
Ballet Mécanique - The Icecold Waters of Egocentric Calculation
>post-punk, experimental rock, minimal synth
Déficit Des Années Antérieures - Les Ambulants
>minimal wave, psychedelic rock, sound collage, industrial
Eyedea -The Many Faces of Oliver Hart (or How Eye One the Write Too Think) (2002)
>hip-hop, rap, underground, real weird sounding dude but his songs are actually pretty deep and not in the Hopsin/Immortal Tech kind of way.
Warning - s/t
>progressive electronic synth pop with black metal vocals
Long Fin Killie - Houdini
>post-rock, chamber pop, all links on the archive are dead
Flowers For Agatha - Young Foolish Old and Stupid
>post punk band from the mid-80s
A Witness - I am John's Pancreas
