Love & Recommend these guys:
I think I've recommended your stuff before, but just incase: I really dig it! Awesome vibes. I love the subtle western vibe mixed with post-rock. Really cool tracks on this album man.
You have some wonderful melodies here. The drums/percussion are always tasteful too. really great vocals. good stuff all around! :)
These tracks are really cool man. I'm getting a Homogenic-era Bjork vibe from your stuff. Cool production and great sound quality too!
>electronic, ocean themes/vibes, synths, some ambient bits, a dash of piano
>ambient, drone, glitch
The Black Mixtape
>jungle, house, some old stuff thrown in

EP is really cheap

> Indie, Alternative, Lo-Fi, Bandcamp
Pretty neat stuff, very atmospheric
Very awesome! The distortion is wonderful. Downloaded
Dubs have been checked. Very mellow and almost vintage sound. The track times are perfect for each song and the entire EP. Downloaded!
>space ambient, drone, i-wish-i-could-be-as-good-as-Sabled-Sun
I have a few plays but a decent amount of views, I dunno (pic related) . Very cool stuff, by the way. Dubs
i do too. i think it must be some sort of bandcamp glitch or something to do with a web crawler registering as a human (i.e., those things that crawl for names of musical artists and songs and add "320 kbps mp3" onto it so their sites turn up in google searches). i get anywhere from 5 to 200 listens every day with random bizarre spikes that don't match up with anything that i can tell, but steady 40-50 views every day, even on days where i've gotten literally 0 plays. generally my rule of thumb for myself is that you subtract 30 to get the "real" views/visits.
Something similar has been happening to me. Even though I got most plays and downloads in spring last year (tfw), I've had much more pageviews since around August-September.
Now that I think about it, I was listening to this in the car today and it was pretty sweet. You're welcome
>lots of piano and chiptune
kinda wonky but I like it. I like your aesthetic, it matches the music's "trippy" vibe very well.
I gotta say tho your drums are one of my favorite thing about the whole tape, they're super hard hitting and used sparingly so effectively.
can I ask what the concept of the record you talk about is?
I dig the noise and lofiness this is super cool.
your melodies are the most powerful part of the music, I'd advise you to use that as your greatest ally in music because that is usually not something that comes easy. your voice is pretty nice too. sorta boyish but very powerful, a la sufjan stevens. only thing I can say is that while your melodies are very nice, they're a little upbeat for my tastes, and I really wish that second song had the noiseyness of the first and third.
u like death cab for cutie don't you
i hear a lot of ben gibbard's songwriting style in your music.
it's very nice tho! it's a little too "cutesy tho yknow? kinda scraping a bit close to nevershoutnever type something. you have some moments of serious fucking genius on this record and I don't mean that lightly. fill an entire record with content as quality as when your voice breaks and harmonizes with the lead guitar at 1:42 on The Contrarian and you have a great fucking album on your hands.
oh I like this. love the loops you use. very nice and pretty while still maintaining the noise aspect. very reminiscent of a long retired noise dude I used to listen to a lot called IOSTREAM. when the record works it really fucking works (like the first track) but other times it kinda drags on. I like the ideas you have with building but sometimes it gets a bit droney. if you would use the more pop side of noise pop a bit more heavily it would be to your advantage.
You probably have very generic search terms in your tags and titles that crawlers would search for.
I have a cool idea for the next thread. Why not post your stuff and then link two songs from artists you admire and think describe your sound well?
It's kind of a concept in terms of when I was making it I had a story in my head, the songs titles kind of tell the story and the song titles guided what I wanted each song to sound like if you know what I mean, I was planning on making CD's and Tapes with a written story to go along with them but it never happened, thanks for the kind words!
>Cute, unorthodox pop rock about depression
New song coming out soon!
not too bad. I'm not a very big techno fan so I'm not gonna say anything about the repetitiveness lmao but I don't care much for that 7ths-sounding synth you use on the first two tracks but the 4th track is pretty nice! I love how noisey it is. I think if you wouldn't start and then stop and then start the beat again so much this'd be a lot more cohesive. and cut down the song lengths man! got damn
a bit too vaporwave reminiscent for my tastes. your drums are nice and the piano drive track lunam is very relaxing and pretty, kinda keeps you on the edge of your seat, reminds me of like a death scene in a jrpg.
I think if your synths were a little less 80s sounding and you mixed everything a bit better it'd be a lot nicer. your compositions aren't bad at all and perfect for ambient type stuff.
yknow i didnt like this the first time i listened but i kept listening and damn this has quite the appeal. your melodies are fucking beautiful, and normally i dont like the "lazy" singing sound but this is really grand. reminds me a lot of modern baseball. only thing i can say is you sound a liiittle pop-punky at times, and your drums don't hit as hard as they could. I liked your hes dead jim stuff but this is a million times better, great step in the right direction. definitely looking forward to that split. that guitar riff when you sing "i still have faith in you" on at least you're trying" is gonna be in my head forever. I'd love to see you live.
Thank you! I really appreciate the feedback and you taking the time to check out my ep.
I find it interesting that you make the vaporwave comment. I've never listened to any vaporwave (as far as I can recall) so I suppose it is kind of coincidental. I appreciate the compliments, they means a lot. And thank you for giving constructive feedback :)
ahh this is crazy! I saw you on reddit back when i was eth05 and this record had like 3 songs on it and again when I saw lovely lovely on my recommended soundcloud (it was stuck in my head and i was singing the wrong lyrics in the shower if that means something to you! I thought it said "i can feel your heart breaking breaking" rather than "lovely flower buds
blanket, blanket" you've definitely improved a lot since then. I wish your synths were a little less presety but your songwriting is excellent. super catchy. I usually don't care for vocaloid but I really don't mind it here. good stuff hombre
thank you so much for actually giving feedback. it seems to be a lost art. i've been trying to do better with my instrumentational selection on recent records. my first two records were pretty shitty with that. you'd probably like my most recent thing more. it flows much better. thank you so much for listening friend!
>ambient, drone pieces inspired by nature. just listen
so has anyone /really/ big posted in bandcamp threads before they blew up? I know there's lunar eskimo and foliage and shadrew and all that but like what about REALLY popular artists?
hey man what else am I in this thread for? bc threads and getting support from great artists is like the only thing that keeps me making music of course I'm gonna review this stuff!
which artist were you?
>Alternative R&B/Dark R&B
Hi fellas, just released my Alternative R&B EP. Would love to hear what you think, especially about the songs that haven't been released already as singles. Thanks for everyone who has given me feedback during the last two months and helped me with this process, I'm grateful beyond measure.
I'll return all the feedback as usual!
Thank you so much! Yea, it's a pretty awesome feeling knowing you wrote something catchy enough to be stuck in somebody's head.
I wish my synths sounded better as well but my cheap keyboard is all I have to make do with at the moment. I only consider these demos so hopefully in the near future I can put a band together and record them in studio. And yea, a lot of people dislike the high pitch vocaloid I use. I plan on singing on all of my future songs from now on though.
I really enjoyed the beats of yours I listened to. Most usually sound cheap and uninspired but yours are nice, good production.
i'm the domina guy.
it seems like so many of these fuckers just post there shit and leave. not giving feedback, not even sticking around to hear feedback for them, just posting and leaving with some giant meaningless wall or recs. you are the hero these threads need.

idk they have a good amount of supporters. I'm sure a good amount of that is viraling but hey how else do you get your stuff out there?
and lanza is at bare minimum tumblr famous his post about dark ambient banjo drone music has a good 10 thousand notes
oh wow did HGES post here? I've actually heard of them once.
I figured. and yeah idk I guess people are just looking to plug their music rather than participate in discussion which is understandable but kinda shitty.
what garbage band
why'd you leave elysian shadows dude that would've been a HUGE break
185000+ dollars on kickstarter man! and more from sales that would've been great for you
LANZA MANZA IS GOING POP MAINSTREAM

>thanks to the ghosts haunting my room for giving me ideas when I needed them
>people actually living there
so i liked this, the bongos are an interesting touch! next time, make a release from 12-20 songs. 30 is too much
that yellow slide is making me emo. this is super enjoyable and easy to listen to
the baddest beams are fucking amazing
i like meme music as much as the next sad sap here but sometimes it gets old. really fast. do some good with your banjo.
this sounds like music my brother secretly makes and doesn't want anyone to see because they're too RAW and EMOTIONAL. i dig it son. also you were 16 when you recorded these? shit.
bon iver wanna be? not a bad thing but i can hear it in some of the songs. also nice hair dude.
>bedroom pop, indie folk
Ann Coates is adorable and pretty oh fuck
>Vocals: Jacob Hutto
Guitar: Jacob Hutto
Bass: Jacob Hutto
Keyboard (Piano & Strings): Jacob Hutto
Drums & Percussion: Jacob Hutto
Mixing & "Mastering": Jacob Hutto
wow. this is fucking good. I really like your harmonization. do you still make music?
really reminds me of neutral milk, especially the 2nd track (which is fucking beautiful man! great job holy shit)
honestly I can't find any grating flaws in this, the melodies, recording and playing are all on point. great work especially for recording it at 16.
Dude, thankyou so much. NMH is naturally a big influence, so thanks again. I do still make music, yeah. Will be releasing more soon, I hope.
I'm the music your brother secretly makes. Thanks man. Yeah, I was 16 which I feel sort of accounts for that sort of embarassing sincerity. But again thank you v. much. Checking out your stuff now.
i can't wait to hear it! I'd love to hear what you can do with years to mature and improve on your music.
honestly I really love your voice so if you'd ever be interested in singing on some of my music hit me up! my soundcloud's on my bandcamp here
>I never expected to find a vocaloid thing I liked. Fab stuff.
I'm glad you did, thank you!
I use REAPER. I use a sample bank from the Roland Fantom which is pretty nice but I don't think there's much you can do to improve something that sounds artificial to begin with.
I only really post in these threads when I have a new release, so here she blows.
>Noise, sound collage, quiet stuff, loud stuff, louder stuff
woops I only have one rec this thread.
>This is kind of cozy
>people actually living there
>so i liked this, the bongos are an interesting touch! next time, make a release from 12-20 songs. 30 is too much
It's an extended version of an album I self-released...pretty much all the "good" stuff I recorded as Sprouts, which was the name I used between 2009-2011.
Need your opinion guys! What do you think?
>depressive black metal, ambient
