Hey GUYS SHOEGAZE DREAM POP NOISE POP BLACKGAZE lets do it
I listened to that a few a times, it's kind of bad. Aside from some of the more intense parts, it sound like some corny fucking "soft rock for adults" 90s shit.
It's not even dreamy or noisy.
like the last 5 shoegaze generals were named this people are used so whatever
The KVB - Out of Body
whatever became of this chart? is this the final version?
>people are used so whatever
I once saw a chart a pretty long time ago that was a gloom chart with a bunch of different sections. That looked pretty complete but I wouldn't know what to search to look it up on the archive.
I never see Boo Radleys mentioned here. Some of their early 90's stuff is pretty good noisey shoegaze.
Ew. And I didn't make this, but here.
Might be what you're talking about too.
We're working on a flowchart.
This is what we have so far, but later it's going to be huge I think.
you could suggest it to the trip who's making it if you see him in this thread
Hey is there any shoegaze that gets as hype as the shoegazier sections of this?
You could try DIE DIE DIE and/or The Mint Chicks
DIE DIE DIE are like shoegaze punk/post-punk/post-harcore
mint chicks joke label is "Shit-gaze". Hmmm idk
firing shit at you
Can we put more noisy shit on there
Also are the goslings really the noisiest band? There's nothing similar? I listened to Astrobrite and it's not quite the same type of noise, it's a lot softer.
The fact that so many critics still name Loveless as "the greatest or most significant or most influential" Shoegazing album ever only tells you how far shoegazing music still is from becoming a serious art. Jazz critics have long recognized that the greatest jazz musicians of all times are Duke Ellington and John Coltrane, who were not the most famous or richest or best sellers of their times, let alone of all times. Classical critics rank the highly controversial Beethoven over classical musicians who were highly popular in courts around Europe. Shoegazing critics are still blinded by sonic textures. My Bloody Valentine made the best shoegazing album ever (not true, by the way), therefore they must have been the greatest. Jazz critics grow up listening to a lot of jazz music of the past, classical critics grow up listening to a lot of classical music of the past. Shoegazing critics are often totally ignorant of the Shoegazing of today, they barely know anything about DIIV or Whirr. No wonder they will think that the My Bloody Valentine did anything worthy of being saved.
Loop - Heaven's End
>Neo-Psychedelia, Space Rock, Shoegaze, Drone,
Belong - Common Era
>Post-Punk, Shoegaze, Ambient?
Swirlies - They Spent Their Wild Youthful Days in the Glittering World of the Salons
>tfw a pleb listens to the same genre as you
Xinlisupreme - Tomorrow Never Comes
>shoegaze, noise rock, noise,
>have you listened to any other shoegaze
no not yet. Mostly just loveless since I always see that as THE shoegaze album so I dunno I'll check out isn't anything and see if That clicks better with me
I also suggest finding Slowdive's "Blue Day" compilation album, and "Slowdive" ep. Some if its stuff is very ethereal and noisier than their Souvlaki album.
Windy & Carl - Drawing of Sound
>Drone, Ambient, Space Rock, Shoegaze, Dream Pop, Ambient Pop,
>black metal, shoegazing
Hey if I were you, I'd put Galaxie 500's "Today" as flowing from On Fire with the sparse ambient tag, then Pygmalion from that, and the Beach House album coming off separate from On Fire. It's just hard for me to see the connection between Bloom and Pygmalion
Try this too
People into this stuff should check out Sad Loves and Giants if they haven't already
Sad Lovers and Giants - Epic Garden Music
Kitchens of Distinction get posted so these guys should, too.
Any opinions on Airiel?
And is Alison's Halo worth checking out?
>don't even really
Anyway, have a rec.
If you rekt me something that you like I might understand why you didn't like it. Idk I am fairly open minded I can sort of understand why you didn't like it, it's kind of samey and sounds like 3rd wave postrock in parts
>mfw listening to forever by cranes
People here actually like this album?
>tfw you don't know tfw Being A Teenager And The Awkward Backseat Sex
is this a cranes reference because I've listened to that album once, otherwise are you ok
Hoping you guys will like my shit.
