Hey friends, last thread was a pretty great success saw lots of opinions on things instead of the usual just "recs" hopefully it'll be even better second time round. Will be around for quite some time so I'll be listenin to all of ya'll until bed!
Strange and hypnotic acoustic music.
Lots of unusual instrumentation.
>experimental folk, psychedelic folk, drone
>art-rock, post-rock, instrumental, minimalist
>post-rock, instrumental, atmospheric
Heya OP here
That's pretty rad that you keep this all acoustic, really interesting and unique stuff I thoroughly enjoyed this I haven't heard anything sound like this from a bandcamp thread man, brilliant.
I see you're a fan of long titles! Woah the first track, not sure how to describe it but it reminds me of a folky Pink Floyd. The production and overall feel of the song is great man. It did drag on a little tiny bit in some cases but rad song nonetheless man, lovely textures.
Quite coincidental that you and the previous poster come from the same place and make somewhat the same style of music. I quite enjoyed Paralyzed/Underwater, the effects your working with are brilliant. I did like the sudden change in the middle, I think you may have just joined two songs together and made it out to be one song haha Radiohead did that with paranoid android but I think it was three songs? Nonetheless I love your guitar work man it's wonderful. Keep it up broski!
>death pop / electroclash / chiptune / digital chaos
>melancholy dance punk for nostalgic people worried about the death of youth
Vocals taken from found sound cassettes of kids in the 80s + 90s
Checking you lads out now
Damn you put this out quickly, two albums in 3 months not bad. Same great dark surf vibes, been a fan since Dainty was 2 songs long. Best opener I've heard in ages.
>singing about 4chan
Lovely looking tape, reminds me of Symphony of the Night and Yoshitaka Amano's Vampire Hunter D stuff. Might pick it up at the end of the month man. Telecapathia sounds like an evil Crystal Castles
Sounds like early Patrick Wolf, spooky forest music for murder cults. Get those pictures up I want to see the physical release!! Also why he heck is some of the text black when the background is black too?
>its electronic music but thats all i can say really
I'm listening to a c f a i i. This is cool with its melodies instrumentation. Reminds me a lot fo Crystal Castles first record The mixing could use a bit of cleaning up tho.
Cool stuff. The drums could use a bit of work up this has potential.
hey man, great stuff. the production is incredible and the songs really have a certain dark video game vice, i dont know how to call it. like a twisted death metal snes game, haha.
oh and i really like the artwork. its perfect for your EP. the only thing that (kinda) bugs me is that the tracks are a bit too long for my taste. but thats just me. anyway, great work man.
>dreampop, g-funk, ambient
>lo fi songwriter stuff
>cassettes for sale
thanks for the support.
>tingles of R&B all over the place
>I tried V A P O R W A V E once
>I recorded a lot of this while I was going through a suicidal crisis, and through major depression... I was hoping to have this out last month but then I tried dying and it held plans off.
My guess is most people in here won't like it because it's too "moody" and the vaporwave track is too obnoxious, but I'm fucking proud of what I've done.
Something about your music is finally getting to me. At first I couldn't quite *get* it, but now that I've listened to it enough times, I think it all makes sense. I love it!
I'm listening to this right now, and it's ambitious as fuck! The Drake loop works the way you let it fade in and out. The synths are nice, the beats are beautiful, and to be honest the entire thing reminds me of the Avalanches in a sense. Consider me a fan!
xXMacSquadXx here, thanks dude! B) Apparently video game vibes is what a lot of people get from my EP haha I like it! I guess the long songs come from the fact that I play in a post-rock band and I try to translate those sort of build-ups and song structures into electronic music.
>noiserock/duo/8bit I guess
We use a gameboy for drums on both EPs. Also >tfw can't get any fucking shows
Who would've thunk being a shut-in musician makes it hard to get gigs...
yeah man, i see where that comes from but for me (playing in an indie pop band and doing catchy dreampop tracks) its kinda hard to maintain attention the whole time if you know what i mean
You guys could use some better production, but I'd love to see you live, really digging the songs/minimalistic approach
Sounds all a bit too generic and samey to me tbh, not very "art" or "post"
>psych folk, pop, folk punk, lofi living room music
this is great!
dem long titles can't really say much man sorry not entirely my type of music!
ey you're that famous bandcamp guy! listened to your first track on your most recent ep and I can see why man. Lovely production and exquisite songwriting ideas and you really provoke nice feels and vibes man. Surprised that Yeah Yeah Yeahs sample fit right in!
Thanks man, I know I'm such a pleb for singing about 4chan ): So keen to record my next EP though later this month it'll probably only be a 5 track cause I've just started university and won't be havin as much free time now unfortunately. Anyways thanks man I appreciate the kinds words! I assume this is Vanishes?
I think I gave you feedback in the last thread? I really like your stuff anyway man. It's groovy and hella atmospheric and has lots of variety too and the production is magnificent! Fucking love the synths in Beta II
Not entirely my thing but I could see other people diggin' this!
Screamo without the instrumental being metal? WHAAAT?! This was interesting to listen too though, the guitar work and instrumentation is rad, not entirely big fan of the vocals but that's cause I'm a betafaggot but I was still impressed by them
Ey Ryan you know how I feel about your music, (that it's fucking fantastic)
Lovely folky tunes man, respect to you for doing everything yourself man. I would definitely pay for this but I'm so tight on money right now I'm actually using some of my bandcamp funds for transport so for now I'll download it and slap it on my ipod. Good job man
Vaporwave man, not even once. I really liked the second track! Be fucking proud of what you done man! It's pretty good, I thoroughly enjoyed the second track your use of samples was really impressive, I can't believe there's some led zeppelin drums in there? I'm actually really impressed man. Well fucking done.
>Vaporwave man, not even once
if there's anything I learned from recording, ironic vaporwave is still vaporwave. I made it for a friend of mine who is super into that stuff anyhow.
Thank you so much for the kind words! It's been difficult doing this entire thing but it's nice to hear such good things from people about it.
OOPS real URL:
>psych folk, pop, folk punk lofi living room music, buttfolk
Thanks man, this is really nicely produced, good job, love the drum smacks on the first track! Getting mad vibes off this man, v nice. Instant download
This is cool, it sounds like it's coming from an unused TV channel
I wasn't saying it was bad man haha I was parodying "meth, not even once" I do have a guilty pleasure in a few vaporwave tracks though. No worries man, just keep makin them tunes!
hey guys :)
>dreampunk, garage pop, female vox
Thanks! Some of those drums came courtesy of my friend Harvey from Noise Climax (he makes up another 3rd of Mykel Sarah.) I'm glad you're feeling vibes from it, though! It means a lot to a simpleton like myself.
Oh no, I knew you were mocking that, I just felt like that anecdote was needed. I wouldn't exactly say it's guilty-pleasure stuff, but I love Saint Pepsi's "Empire Building." It sounds...
F U T U R I S T I C .
[although I did just order "Hit Vibes" on vinyl also, so yay.]
I really enjoy this, great guitar work
>zolo, experimental rock, blues rock, lo-fi, humor, folk
some friends of mine from high school
haven't released anything since 2013 but it's a great release
>twinkles, philly emo, modern baseball
>post-punk, noise rock, industrial.
Really diggin this, it gets really interesting. I can feel the sense of improvisation. Good call on the use of synths. Overall it's one of the most interesting stuff I've listened for the genre (I've not listened really much though)
Dat vocal harmonies. Music has kind of this same singer-songwriter formula, but I dig the songs with percussions. Good job.
Brought your cassette
> Black Metal/Experimental/Post Rock
>new video out on Exclaim thursday
>full length mixtape out on the 20th

>music for the monkeys
>atmospheric/minimalist folk, some freak folk
Thanks a ton for the support yo.
Great music I've already heard:
New stuff to me:
I like this. Reminds me some of Talk Talk meets GY!BE or something. The way the guitars drone on in some instances is really cool. It's also produced well. Might be a little repetitive for me though in some respects.
I see you're into typing your URLs out stubbornly everytime like I do. Anyway, I'm pretty sure I listened to this a long time ago. I enjoy the instrumentation and the way all that sounds, the sax and the accordion keep it really interesting. Somehow I both like and dislike the over-emphasized tone in your voice, I thought it was a little much but the more I listen to it the more it grows on me. Pretty unique stuff.
>dungeon synth, medieval ambient, black metal
>my first album
>metro-ko, downtempo, dubstep, 2-step, underground hip hop, moody, chill, psychedelic
>collaborated with jordaan mason on a track
>contains samples of the beach boys, joanna newsom, daniel johnston, bob dylan, bill evans, and various films
>made for a girl
>looking for folks to remix my shit
Demo has been out for about a month now. 20 minutes long, evil and cold. Raw production. About a dozen CD's left. Hope you enjoy! I will return feedback for a while.
> Harsh noise and ambient concept album about the Waco Siege
>hating on rec culture
>moody ambient with various instruments inspired by nature

A bit lo-fi and it feels like a bit of a mess but if you got better recording equipment this could be really good. Pretty nice overall.
Any feedback on my recording would be fantastic! Here are some I have checked out:
Really interesting and different from I heard on this thread, love the texture in the songs and how dynamic each instrument is. Love the progressions in each track as well.
Paralyzed/Underwater is a nice track, with some interesting transitions. I think the song would have benefitted without the silent pause near the middle, if you put some ambience to ease that transition to the next part it would become so much more effective.
I really dug the track 'My abishag....' it had a chill trip-hop feel to it and the atmosphere within your other songs are on point. Interesting listen.
Your songs remind me a bit of La Dispute, who I really like. I dig the huge contrast between the screamo and the clean guitar work, something about it works for me.
Nice to see you have a new release! Really like Midlifecrisis, really has that atmosphere of isolation pinned down so well. I like the direction you are going in actually, nice experimentation going on.
Sounds like a more garage pop version of Real Estate, which is awesome. Guitar work is sweet and vocals are fun to listen to, really dig it, especially when it slows down at the middle.
Nice dark influence and the atmosphere of the album is gripping. Illmanic is pretty sick with its jazzy piano gilding through some deep and moody hip-hop.
Recommending these I have heard:
>black metal, thrash, doom
Thanks, man. I stressed a bit more over this mixtape than I thought I would... I knew XxxxXxxxX was pretty well received so I was trying to make a worthy follow-up.
Already working on the next mixtape at the moment. Experimentation a plenty... Probably gonna go buy a shitty guitar and amp from a pawn shop or something and throw my own guitar parts over these tracks.
Hiding Places here, thanks for the kind words, man. made my day.
>hip-hop, heavy, bassy, dark, gritty, punk, bangers
my group just released our debut full-length album produced entirely by myself
>Post-rock/ Psychedelia/ Ambient
A friend just made a video for us:
So much good stuff. Love these threads.
It's lo-fi but I think it's got potential.
Please download and give feedback.
Seize the day! Rob Dylan lyrics!
Rub Dylan, I am the Rub-Y, Rubbing internally in your inner-crime.
Look, Xi Jinping go sake, you're kaze. Not even a Kami, still they perform the same Kamikaze, why calling it differently? Go wanna go Kami-sake against God?
I won't allow you to handle numbers, I handle my own numbers. Yeah all horribly, so still I sold the World long ago.
You're kase, go Kami. No you're Kaze, go Zake.
Ok, you're sake, go rice kamikaze, don't Kamikaze the whole China for accidentally conserving the Dragons I usually perform.
>lo-fi, cold, scuzzy, slow.
>Dark Psychedelic Garage Punk
