pic related is pretty great and in the same vein as FlyLo
Check this out OP. Really great future/Neo-soul with jazz influences and really tight polyrhythms.

Anybody got some 90s alternative hip-hop? Old school flippant lyrics stuff a bonus.

I saw Flying Lotus at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t
Get into Aceyalone, Mikah 9 and Freestyle Fellowship in general.
i asked anthony fantano personally for more experimental hip hop and he told me there's not much of it prove him wrong
I met Flying Lotus on a plane.
I asked him to "do the astral plane" and he did. Then he pulled out a tape recorder, pressed record, and took a nap.
So if there's ever a sample of people on a plane in a Flying Lotus song, I might be on it. Yay.
reminds me of the time I saw Paul McCartney and I asked him about the bitches he fucked. Then he invited me to a party, it was more like an orgy actually. Taylor Swift was here and Paul was treating her like his personal slave, he kept calling her "dumb bitch" and at some point he walked her with a leash and asked me if I wanted to buttfuck her.
Crazy night, he's such a goofball
We had smoked a pretty fat joint around 11 as you know we figured we'd head straight in to see the show. We wanted to get food at this point, so we ended up walking Chinatown up and down a few times before she decided on a place, we ordered a few dishes one of them was a five spice salted fried quail. That shit was delicious.
After our little dinner we headed to a HK dessert bar where we had some pretty sweet stuff. After this we went to a local hip hop bar and had a few drinks (we ordered 2 longnecks and some tequila shots) I drank most of the beer.
So now it was time to see FlyLo! We pretty much walked right up to front. She had some friends she knew there who she introduced to me, I could tell you their names but it wouldn't matter would it. Just from the way they were interacting with me I could tell they were on some E, .
That radio song "uptown funk" maybe? Is really damn catchy is there a genre that caters to that sort of sound or is it just a pop song? I'm completely unfamiliar with funk so I'm sorry if I sound like a dumbass
On the subject of Flylo: stuff similar to this?

anything that sounds as chaotic?
Dont know about any other noise rock like it other than lightning bolt
Or any other kind of acoustic, brainy European folk rock.
You'll probably like the new Vashti album
any recommendations aside from Vietcong and all their side projects?
I'm just going to pretend you're wrong </3
He plays bass on a few songs too. Miracle's great.
Had this on in my car the other day and two friends asked if it was Silversun Pickups soooo mb?
Anyone know anything similar to pic related? I love the gloomy, chaotic shoegaze sound.
If you like the rapping try Shabazz Palaces (and obvious Captain Murphy).
maybe try Try Not To Destroy Everything You Love by An Autumn For Crippled Children, some people love it and some people hate it
