Post some dark stuff. Not just heavy metal screamo shit, but something I'd be genuinely scared of listening to while walking down an empty street alone at night type of shit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcMz3aAZDv4
that's not scary though, it's feelsy
Current 93 - I Have a Special Plan for This World
literally the first album that has ever made me feel uncomfortable
there is just something truly unsettling about this one. higly recommended for OP
Yeah, pretty much anything from Birth Canal Blues would freak me the fuck out at night.
Especially the second song, fuck that song, nearly made me have a heartattack
Some artists related to them who have (or don't) similar sound
Nature and Organisation
Death in June
Antony and the Johnsons
Also check out Steven Stapleton famous list for the people who influenced him
music from this scene's pretty good https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTwRRwUb4IE
Not the other dude but I feel the same way about TBK as him. I am not unsettled by their earlier stuff with the exception of The Seer and SFTB. Their 80s output does not confront me at all.
Not the other Anon but your OP image is a screenshot from the live-action trailer to the phenomenal 2012 top-down action video game "Hotline Miami". An iconic quote from a scene in the game features an internal persona with a chicken mask asking the protagonist, "Do you like hurting other people?"
No need to get so defensive.
Coincidentally, the game has one of the best soundtracks featured in a video game. Not what you're looking for in this thread, but very hypnotic electrohouse nonetheless.
>ctrl + f "Aghast"
fucking hell, go listen to this fucking masterpiece
Hexerei am Zweilicht der Finsternis
gloomy and cold atmosphere, witchcraft, madness and solitude
go fucking listen to it
I heard this when I was 7. Jesus I chucked that album out a window.
I love this album. Narrowly dodged death and spent 3 weeks in hospital a few years ago, so the hospital apparatus noises before each song I find really chilling.
I listened to that album a few weeks ago out of curiosity. Longest fucking bus ride of my life. The album was pretty fun and then that shit hit, I was legitimately freaked out.
maybe this falls under the "heavy metal screamo" according to you but it's good sludge metal. the band released this record to make money to bring home the singers dead body as he had OD'd in a foreign country. it's really bleak, listening to it gives me shivers.
>David Lynch's music project
>SH 1, 2 and 3 OST
>Boren & Der Club of Gore
>Diagnose Lebensgefahr ( >>54326015)
>MM's Smells Like Children
all else is
probably good as well
Hotline Miami is the shit
Reminds me of aforementioned Marilyn Manson album
>damn, no surprise but stapleton has some great taste
He's my favorite out of that whole circle of musicians.
When I was 15 I started these threads all the time just to get the edgiest shit out there, worked really well.
Really? I found that album super relaxing.
Too soon? (Heresy pt.1 isn't on Youtube)
>Implying "screamo" relates to traditional heavy metal in any way, or any other metal genres
If you're looking for dark music, check out Sunn 0))), khanate and any other drone metal bands.
I was just going to post pic related.
I didn't click on every link in this thread so I don't know if someone already posted it, but this album. Seriously. I've listened to a lot creepy and frightening stuff but nothing tops Naked City's Absinthe.

That's Harakiri was scary at some parts when walking in the dark with my headphones..
For some reason I really enjoy listening to this eerie atmospheric tune from Pikmin 2.
start with the dread magnificence of perversity, then maybe an epiphanic vomiting of blood and if you want something slightly more accessible then For all slaves... a song of false hope is good
