>playing college festival in april
>don't know if I should play house or more aggressive trap style music
Inb4 computer sounds and djs are fags
Well, I'd appreciate some trap if you were playing were I study, since house plays in almost 99% of our college parties.
But that's also probably a sign that it's what people like more, I guess.
just play trap tbh its safe, everyone loves it. only saying because we are in /mu/, don't get too autistic about it i guess. just play bangers and everyone will be happy.
i have a question for you. do djs typically get pussy considering they mostly play festivals or is that just something that exists only inside my head?
ya they get pussy.my friend djs for the local scene
can hookup with some girl on molly every week.
it usually goes OMG anon you played my favorite song how did u know and the rest is history/
I'm getting sick of playing it tbh
I was at a party last night and this chick asks me to play some "hardcore rap" I asked her what she wanted. She then requested bonfire by childish fagbino. I ignored her after that
See it's the opposite around me. Most people just like to rage
I feel like this would be too chill tho. I think people will be drunk and not high
honestly I don't know. I don't do a lot of stuff outside of parties for friends and bedroom dj. this is my first "real" show. I would assume they get laid like crazy. Idk tho I have a gf so I don't pursue girls anymore

when i get request similiar to that over and over
I just say fine shit that trap kids like and browse 4chan until it's over.
I did this one also
easiest job ever
I randomly got invited to a college party and played raw drum machine techno (Blawan, Surgeon, early Aphex etc.) to 500 18 year olds and it went off. Literally the best gig I've ever played. Partied way harder than the beardy 30 year olds I normally play to.
I guess they were bored of House and Trap
It's funny i'm the opposite, i find most of the sets by well-known respected DJs to be a bit boring and the same old things. If I watch Boiler Room (and i rarely do) I go looking for the more the offbeat, outsider, sloppy mixes with more interesting tracklists and shit I've never heard before. I can look past a bit of amateurish mixing if it's tracks i'm actually curious to hear and not just the same house/edm every single other well known website has each week.
>Literally the best gig I've ever played
>Literally just pressed the play button
>Literally just dropped the needle
Spend your time and money learning a skill instead of obsessing over a culture that literally just presses play buttons, talentless hack
>12grand so far off gigs button pressing
Congrats, but that's a disgusting level of hackage.
>DJing has become an essential activity if you actually want to make any money off your music
If the only music you make is edm, then I suppose... But even then, if that's the only music you focus on, you're still just pressing the play button to play tracks made via the pressing of buttons on software.
ya at first I was unsure of doing that
but I got bills to pay every month and its better then bust ass overtime at my job.
even when I graduate gonna be working more hours being a code monkey.
mine aswell use my knowledge and stay ahead of the curve and get paid off these dumbass edm kids
