>back in the studio
So Help Me God still not finished recording?
Chance of Kanye recording new To Pimp A Butterfly-inspired tracks?
Kanye replaced by Kendrick as /mu/'s main cuck squeeze?
He said album was about 80% done, he never specified lyrics or beats, and there is nothing to stop him from writing or free-styling new lyrics for the album. It's his record company. He can do whatever he wants.
Teach me how to get so aroused from hating on people I'll never meet
No really, only enjoying positive emotions is pleb as fuck and if I learn how to transcend that I can literally always be happy. How do I even approach this though?
>your meaning, message and execution are gifts to the world.
That song is not on the fucking album kid. I guarantee it. Neither is four five seconds. Also, good chance All Day and Only One will sound different on the album. Meaning the only song we have heard completely is Wolves. And that's still in low quality
Yeah but I can only summon that feeling when it's someone I know personally and even then empathy and guilt drowns it out. How do you silence those two? Do I just learn how to dehumanize the target?
MBDTF will still be #1 at the end of the decade on every relevant and major publication. If Kendrick is still making benchmark albums in another 7 years then I will say Kanye has been succeeded.
MBDTF being good five years ago doesn't stop SHMG from sucking right now. This new album is going to be trash. Even Kanye seems nervous about it, telling people it's almost done then going back in the studio to record.
just picturing how fucked kanye felt while listening to Kendrick and Tupac chat on the phone.
Kanye is done. He's a fashion designer now. Couldn't make hard-hitting music to save his life.
There's a lot of things you have to take into account here. First off Kanye has 6 platinum albums, has a record studio, has more accolades than anyone his age in music and has a album most are still saying is the best of this century
Kendricks growing fast and has a lot of potential still left. But Kanyes presence is still much more overwhelming comparatively
>Kanye replaced by Kendrick as /mu/'s main cuck squeeze?
not even close. the only kids on /mu/ that like kendrick are TND babbys that came here from reddit. kanye is our meme. we like him because he's retarded. he's not being dethroned just yet
There's a lot of things you have to take into account in this post
The poster is a dickrider, he's a cuck, he has absolutely no taste, and has a post most are still saying is the worst post on /mu/ right now
Kendrick's already better than him and didn't even have to try and everyone denying it is just a contrarian or a drone.
Kendrick's song actually had a point, featured a rare-tupac interview and was a perfect close to the album.
Kanye's was just another throw-away line on a song about sleeping on someones sofa.
That seems like it only works in one specific case and even then I just feel apathy and confusion over why people devote any sort of energy, positive or negative, toward such a person
>Ripped off Meme Grips
>So Help Me God
>Will rip off Memedrick?
post kanye's face when he realizes his album is now completely irrelevant even before it gets released because of TPAB
I can't take that seriously since everywhere I have read says anyone worldwide can petition. Meaning all your mom and dad rockers who can't into 21st century music and hates him because of what they see on CNN is probably petitioning
kendrick is the anti kanye, kendrick can make a blatantly pro black album and people still like him, kanye just rubs people the wrong way, the world hates him.
Kendrick is kanye if people actually liked him
If Kanye tweeted this before Pitchfork reviewed TPAB, they would have given it a 10.
>i can't listen to lyrics,
you just don't hear them or you are listening to instrumentals?
Either way, since Kendirck is always referring to himself as a "writer", the lyrics themselves are pretty much his main thing.
If you prefer music without lyrics that is completely fine, but it's at least 50% of the album, if not arguably more.
Gonna be a massive a shitstorm when it just randomly drops in the next month. Don't know if it will be better than TPAB. It will none the less still be big around here and elsewhere
Kendrick is just better at describing/explaining what he is thinking when it comes to vaguely socially conscious stuff. If kanye isn't talking 100% about himself, he comes off as retarded.
see Kanye's verse on the remix of Diamonds From Sierra Leone. Kanye attempted to write about something besides himself and crashed and burned.
usually the flow and feel is something that keeps rap interesting to me
i have never been able to "hear" what people are singing/rapping, unless its really clear. its kind of a weird thing, my dad and his dad also had the same thing, we hear the lyrical melodies and singing voice but can't grasp the lyrics. i guess tpab will be a disappointment to me then :(
Do you know why Pitchfork dickrides him so much? They're vapid, they aren't shy of revisionism, when he falls off they can just go ahead and delete all the reviews they made of him or revise them and nobody will bat an eye, trusting Pitchfork with your taste is one of the most idiotic things you can ever do since they have no sense of anything other than "this is cool to think right now".
You will regret dickriding this hack so much when he's a passing note in every music history review in the 2050's.
You mean this link?
Best albums every man should hear? By fucking GQ magazine.. Lel man you kanye fans are stupid
The next thing they will say is the articles don't account for shit. When actually what's being archived in our day in age for history is what people first find when they google what they are looking for.
It's only one article and it's from a mens fashion magazine giving us the top albums every man should hear. Holy shit, that's not saying much retard. Try metacritic or some other shit
>nobody even acknowledges that yeezy exists.
Where did you pull this shit out of your ass from? Everyone knows who he is and he constantly tops year end rankings and discussions in general. I have asked so many people this week about the new Kendrick album and every time I am met with "who is that"
So it seems that Kanye album will be released next year so he's not going to embrace the shame of the fact that Kendrick's album is even better that gives him more time to achieve a decent thing
Awesome won't be on. Kendrick will never have what Kanye has regardless of the amounts of albums he puts out, soon enough he'll be trying hard again and it'll just come off self righteous. He struck a balance now, but soon the generic jazz and funk will bleed pretentiousness.
We all know Kanye is a dumb fuck, but at least he's trying to be anymore than that. He knows about the aesthetics of art and what can sell and yet be beautiful. He's like Steve Jobs, he looks like a genius yet he isn't, yet in a way he is because he brought something new and exciting to the mainstream.
Don't forget this is the same guy who released The College Dropout, Be, The Blueprint, Late Registration, and almost Graduation in the same five year span.
>Kendrick will never have what Kanye has
What is it?
What is this mystique that surrounds everything Kanye does and nothing else?
What is this obtuse quality you kanye fans talk so much about but never can put forward in plain English?
Let me tell you what it is.
It's called the emperor's new clothes you gigantic idiot.
kanye's whole discography is made by plagiarizing other people and stealing shit, the moment he heard 'i' he wrote only one and the rihanna feat where he talks about waking up as an optimist because he thought that's what kendrick's new album was going to be all about all happy'n'shit
fukken clown fuccboi
>the moment he heard 'i' he wrote only one and the rihanna feat where he talks about waking up as an optimist because he thought that's what kendrick's new album was going to be all about all happy'n'shit
>Chance of Kanye recording new To Pimp A Butterfly-inspired tracks?
TPAB was inspired by Yeezus though.
>At a party
>Turns Kendrick on
>After first Kendrick songs plays another one starts
>Everyone tells me to turn it off, it sounds the same as the last song
>Turn on Kanye
>Practically listen to a whole album of his and not complaints
I'm not saying you should like it, I'm saying that's a ridiculously retarded reason to not like a song because he's purposely trying to sound like a wimp while the actual track is intended to be a banger
It doesn't suck, he's on the verge of tears, he's talking shit about BOTH gangs that dominate where he's from and know where his mother lives and that they might want him dead in no time.
>le meme grips meme :^)
Nah, it's Kendricks whole style that's inspired by Outkast; 'Chapter Six', 'Poe Mans Dreams', 'Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe' etc. already happened remember.
I could, or you could just accept it; much less hasstle.
So this album is pretty much confirmed to suck then? Going back to the studio is not going to fix it. Kanye is in
>Don't Judge him, Joe Brown!
mode right now. We'll never get another Late Registration. Everybody move on. The chickens have come home to roost.
>has seen the official track list for an album that is not even complete yet
>gets extremely emotional and volatile at someone getting track list wrong
>doesn't know what cuck means.
I have some bad news for you, you have autism. Good news is Kanye does too and has become quite successful in spite of it. You can still have a fulfilling life with your disability. Good luck and have fun.
>kanye fans are this desperate
Your idol fell off.
He fell off since he released that turd yeezus and people tried to tell you every single time but you jumped through hoops to defend that piece of shit.
Now he's really, completely and utterly done.
>him and concerts
Do you mean AT fucktard
also, that was 2013 - pre-TPaB which is the album that truly put Kendrick fully above Kanye. Even Kanye knows it. That's why he's back in the studio making a fool out of himself while trying to keep up.
What? I don't understand what you're saying.
>All these KTTfags who can't admit that Kanye has gone to shit now
That guy I responded to said only the Blacker the Berry sounded Yeezus-esque. I implied that 'u' does too, particularly the way he sings "lovin u is complicataaaaaad!!"
>The anti-Kanye posts ITT
I'm cringing so hard.
You sound like /v/ arguing Playstation vs. Xbox.
Why are kanye fans so desperate? You want kanye to look as influential as possible so you actually force yourself to believe this shit. Come back to reality and stop thinking everything stems from kanye you deranged fanboi
I remember going to the yeezus show back in 2013. Fucking happy as shit that I did.
>tfw I will never see both generation defining artists perform one after another.
Maybe one day there will be a collaboration.
Thanks for proving my point.
I'm not 'from /v/', and I have no idea how you assumed I was when I was making fun of /v/.
He sounds just like Kanye on that chorus.
>"je ne sais quoi"
>kanyefags are so desperate they're dealing in ineffables to talk about what makes Kanye superior
Literally the emperor's new clothes.
Also, no he doesn't, stop being so dumb.
808s was okay. It seemed pretty clear he still had something left to say.
Cruel Summer was the first time he was a part of something mediocre, Yeezus was his first actually bad album filled with garbage tracks.
>Yeezus was his first actually bad album filled with garbage tracks
Literally no one agrees with you except people who post youtube comments, 9gag users and fantano drones.
Yeezus is a classic. You have to be musically illiterate to not see its dazzling genius. It's a time capsule in cd format, endlessly more important than reactionary releases like TPAB
>808s was okay
critically it was his biggest flop
Cruel Summer wasn't technically a Kanye album, it was a collab album, and it isn't even that bad, it's a bunch of solid bangers.
>Yeezus was garbage
le contrarian face
>this whole comment
no wonder kanye fans get a bad rep here
In your dreams anon.
Then as you wakeup it says;
>Good Morning! Oooohooooo~
>Wake up Mr. West, Mr. West, Mr. Fresh Mr. By himself he so impressed
>wasn't technically a Kanye album
that's why I said " was a part of something", and yes Yeezus was bad. Get some reading comprehension skills then come to terms with it being a bad album.
Is there a window of expected release? This Spring? This year?
>my opinion is objectively correct even though the vast majority of everyone else thinks the exact opposite
fuck off, the only people who don't like Yeezus are normies who wanted Dark Fantasy 2.
>the only people who don't like Yeezus are normies who wanted Dark Fantasy 2.
how's that paper tiger treating you?
Yeezus is objectively bad on its own without any comparison to other kanye albums. Get your ears checked.
>Yeezus was bad
A person who only casually listens to music would say that. For a music enthusiast, Yeezus was a revelation. That's why it got such rave reviews. Music critics with 20+ years in the industry were stumbling over themselves over their praise for that album.
You're a basic bitch, nothing more. The way you evaluate music is primitive.
Yeezus is one of the greatest albums ever recorded. Deriding it speaks volumes about a person's musical knowledge and general taste. Being incapable of appreciating the genius that oozes from this album and being vocal about it is like wearing a dunces cap for the musical equivalent of downs-syndrome.
For this reason, negative comments regarding this album fill me with pity rather than anger.
As for his follow-up, I truly hope its 1/10th of the masterpiece Yeezus is. The fact that he's taking inspiration from TPAB is a good sign as it is a landmark album with some brilliant musical ideas albeit no more than an 8.8/10.
It means you need to get a fucking education. If you are just in high school or grade school then I do apologize. When you are older you'll have a better understanding of both life and music and will comfortably come to terms with Yeezus being a rather bad work of kitsch.
>these are the people you are discussing music with on /mu/
this is getting sad. Sorry the album sucks ass, I can't help you with your dependency on p4k, please stop crying for help here. This isn't the place. Seek therapy.
I'm not a fan of RTJ, my favorite hip hop release of 2013 is Race Music by Armand Hammer. I very much recommend it.
Though I doubt you asking me for my personal favorite is you looking for a recommendation, more just a chance for you to yell:
>LOL THATS NOT YEEZUS YEEZUS IS GOOD I SWEAR TO GOD
I look forward to that post.
Older as in I feel like I'm arguing with a child and it's making me feel like I'm being mean or something since all your responses are so emotionally charged. I'm glad you enjoy p4k and hope one day you are able to think for yourself. As I said before, I wish you luck in the future and if you do chose to expand your listening base beyond yeezus and other p4k-core records, I think Billy Woods is a good start. Namely Race Music was quite good in my opinion.
Again you're misunderstanding what I meant by "older", I apologize for using unclear language and I'll leave you with this: >>54460710
also, just so you know this board is meant for 18+ and sometime people do post inappropriate material for someone like you.
Firstly, I'm not the same guy you were arguing with earlier.
Secondly, p4k was one of literally hundreds of critics who lauded Yeezus as a masterpiece.
Thirdly, I have a very strong, self-motivated opinion on why Yeezus is excellent. I merely refer to critics because they offer something of an objective standpoint on the issue. Affluent, educated, experienced music writers' opinions are worth more than my own. Maybe one day you'll learn to accept that too.
I wish you luck in the future my friend.
I was thinking about many lines are in How Much A Dollar Cost even though it's just about a short altercation with a "homeless man." Every single line slowly builds to the reveal without taking the listener out of the moment.
Kanye seems to say poignant things on accident.
>it's his flawed character!
>he's trying to piss people off! He knows what he's doing!
Sure but that talent is almost nowhere in the actual lyrics. His concept behind naming his song, "I Am A God" is so deep and well-developed but the lyrics don't say shit about any of those concepts so it's up to his fans to explain it.
