damn son where'd you find this?
reccing my buddy
>lo-fi, cold, scuzzy.
>dreampop, shoegaze, experimental
>acoustic pop, ambient, vocal layers
There are 3 more Dave Roland tracks that are as yet incomplete and I'm wondering what to do with them. Thoughts anons?
tbh I actually like a lot of the musical concepts here, but the audio quality sometimes is a bit TOO low for me. It works well on that soundcloud track though, really digging that.
>experimental, psychedelic indie, rock, jazz, hip-hop and electronic
tracks from this album that I think represent it well are 2, 3, 5, 8, 9 and 11-12
>People "reccing" each other in some sort of autistic circlejerk
>Yeah I'm acknowledging all of you, okay
>NOW GIVE ME SOME PLAYS!
P solid ambient stuff. I'm not really into all of that, but I like the dark atmosphere. The title track is the best i've heard of the 3 i've listened to (O A O R E, Sou's Spectral I, A e a n a)
I like it, it's as if it's one continuous track. Easy listening, nothing dislikable.
Reccing my boyz:
I can dig it. Reverb drowned, dark, slight trap shit in there. Liking it.
Good old music advertisement
>3 song EP

Thanks for your support and your listens.

Definitely reminds me of the Flaming Lips. It's really cool that you're young and recording all of these tracks.

Thanks a lot dude, but some people are just tight on money. If they really want it and can't afford it, i'd rather just let them have it. $2 isn't much, but sometimes you just don't got it.
>Lots of screeching Feedback
>Alternative R&B/Dark R&B
Hi fellas, just released my Alternative R&B EP. Would love to hear what you think, especially about the songs that haven't been released already as singles. Thanks for everyone who has given me feedback during the last two months and helped me with this process, I'm grateful beyond measure.
I'll return all the feedback as usual!
>noise, ambient, concept album about sleep

Some cheap if you know what I mean. Maybe try to add more samples or field recordings, or maybe even instruments like a slow distorted (but silent) guitar. It would be more atmospheric and less boring
>analog lo-fi clear
>go hard or go home
>globalist cultural appropriation
Check out these guys:
Brand new song from brand new Canadian band. https://mercurialmush.bandcamp.com/releases
>brutal slamming guttural disfiguring death metal
that one sounds pretty savage and groovy as hell. the main thing however that I can complain about was the vocals, i felt like they had no actual lyrics and it was just growling like ass.
>hardcore and stuff
not a fan sorry man
vibing to the atmosphere friendo. like the guitars too
i'm sure someone will like this because its not terrible but i'm not feeling it
guitars could stand to be a bit louder in the mix. not bad though not bad
i dig the progressions in the beats that you make, groovy stuff
>garage meets country
Both of them. This louder waves is noise generated by audacity, and this really silent in background is something what you named 'field recordings' (microphone out of the window and record on). Thanks for feedback
This is terrifying. Love it!
D/l'ed this last night. As usual, great work. Can't stop listening.
Reccing these two as well
>electronic, industrial, noise
I'll be adapting this release for a live set soon. Let me know what you think
this is the only album on there i care about the other crap was made like 2 years ago on garageband
i'm kinda new so constructive criticism would be appreciated if you want to
> industrial hip-hop instrumentals, glitch-based, dirty sampling, sample-based, awful music
Scapa Flow here,
Thank you! I know, its short lol. I intentionally made it that way though. I had used repetition a lot on previous material so I tried to keep them to the point on this one. Just trying out new ideas I suppose.
This is pretty cool. Reccing this.
I really like this. Kinda makes me want to venture into making industrial hip hop. Only thing is that I'd get myself a MC. I can't rap for shit.
Yeah, I've been thinking about recording vocals for new material but I'd probably be very tempted to use my voice more as a sampling tool rather than for conventional vocals. It's definitely something I'm wanting to play with though next time I make some new tracks.

From track 4 on I was hypnotized.
Somehow you've mixed beautiful feedback and drone centered music with fantasy music that puts me in a very special place.
I have goosebumps.
Thank you for sharing.
You've got a fan.

>>54501429 - It's good, but the vocals could of done a bit better. 7/10.
>>54502919 - Sometimes it sounds like you learn to play for a week and decided to record some music. It's seems to drag a bit on some parts so keep up a good solid tempo. Also lower the volume on the cymbals. That shit gets annoying after a couple of measures. 4/10.
>>54504232 - The first song 'Take It'. It's good. I like what you got going on here. The only thing I have is the reverb on the vocals. It tries to add more to your voice when all you really need is the vocals alone. Less is more. This problem goes on through the whole EP. If this is your flavor then that's okay. It's only for future references. Also you seem to always be singing high. Possibly sometimes in your falsetto. I get what you're going after, but don't be afraid to get low on your notes. Away from the vocals, your instrumentals all kinda stay in the same realm. It's very calming. Very watery. But this gets very boring very fast. Change it up some. The song 'TFT' seemed to me like an attempt to change the pace, but it wasn't quite enough. You got the skills, guy. Just try to experiment a bit more on your vocals and change the styles a bit on some songs to prove that you can do more then what you say. 5/10.
>>54504710 - It's good. I dig this. It's really not my cup of tea though. 7/10.
>>54506460 - Guitars could be louder in the mix. I wish you can hear more of the bass so it can have a solid foundation. But it's legit. 6/10.
>organ, classical, chamber
this fucker is Jbenitex-tier
self-promotion threads all day every day
you know it would have been believable that the first thread was not made by you
but when more show up it's so blatantly obvious...
>sample-based lush ambient
>tracks 2 and 7 feature accordion for anyone into that shit
>bedroom produced - free downloads
Nah man, jbenitex was kind of his own animal. Lots of people self-promote on this website, but nobody is nearly as combative, abrasive and resistant to feedback of any kind as he was. 2013 was a fun time for soundcloud threads.
Ordered a tape! Human Sounds do good work.
Recommending this, they're a cool label.
>tapes, many genres, newest ones are reissues of Logan Archer albums and an EP by the Baddest Beams
>more coming soon
>Experimental, Ambient, Techno
It's all just memeing anyway, right?
Yeah man that shit drives me up a wall, I'm all in favor of there only being one bandcamp thread at any given time because I think it encourages discussion a little more but people are always gonna try and take advantage of being the first post in a given thread by making a new thread.
how popular would you have to be for it to be justified to make people pay for your bandcamp shit?
at the point where you don't have to beg for listens in these threads or elsewhere?
at the point where having a price doesn't reduce the amount of attention you're getting drastically?
Apparently not very popular. Just self hype the shit out of yourself, spend more time posting your 3 songs on /mu/ than actually working on your album, and quickly half ass an album and release it.
Just look at foliage
To be honesty most is this stuff is trying to be super edgy. /mu/ eats edgy like candy.
yeah I'd be up for something! I'm an awful collaborator tho cause I'm pretty busy with uni as well as lazy when it comes to like.. productively trying to get music done to its finished state. but yeah if you have a nice idea, send me an email ok? email@example.com
a collab or a split both sound good. or something beyond these two concepts? dunno!
Demo EP has been out for a little while now, 20 minutes long, evil from the first second until the last. Raw production, gloomy. Hope you like.
Pretty good as always. I like this, but I prefer the atmospheric black stuff you do. However, really nice, I like the heavy atmosphere.
This is pretty decent, heavy and groovy. Could do with a little bit of work though. Maybe mix in some higher pig squeals too to make it a bit more interesting, or try and experiment and do more than just be brutal and slamming crushing grinding deathing metaling. Nice work though.
i think that all digital copies of music should be free with the option of listeners paying if they are moved to do so.
i think money should be paid for physical copies of music though, and i think if you have the money you should support small unknown/lesser known acts by buying physical copies of their music and any swag they may have for sale.
the majority of artists putting out music have shitty jobs they have to go to and are making music in their spare time(with the exception of underage kids and rich kids who are putting out those SIIIICK DRAWPS and BANGERZ BREH!), and it feels good when someone appreciates your music enough to throw you a few bucks.

this would honestly be really great if it were mixed better
I really like the sound you guys are going for, but for some odd reason the singing doesn't really flow well with it. It's not bad by any means though.
Really relaxing to listen to, I can see this playing in an indie film for some reason hahah.
your theme makes my head hurt
>rap, hip hop,
>vaporwave, television chill
Will love any feedback.
NEW RELEASE, check it out, i hope its good
>drone, dark ambient, noise, krautrock, weird pop
Cheers, it's all recorded through Ipad speakers and put together in garageband so we're working on that element.
Unfortunately Both of us are wildly incompetent at anything other than simple software...
>post rock, space rock, noise
>post-dubstep, shoegaze, minimal, idm
Noise rock. Noisy as fuck. And a little too loud, I fucked it up a little. I'll fix it sometime, whatever.
Enjoy I guess, and thanks if you check it out.
Probably dead but...
