and no, top40 doesn't count as taste.
guys and girls both have shit taste in music
But since guys don't really receive much attention besides from their family. they tend to branch out more and expand deeper into their hobby.
some girls do the same thing either from dating a guy who they're fond off and try to listen to what he likes.
or from being social outcast aka ugly until she gets older
So your question should be do good looking girls have good taste in music
and the answer is no because they don't need
they already fit in with society
so what you're saying is anyone who is popular or can into normal social behaviour will have bad taste
look at the music industry whos making the best most creative music today, men are just better entertainers it dates back to cave men time and trying to impress a mate, also they have better math skills and that equates to being able to keep a beat better... idk im stopping here because im tired and dont wont to get into the psycological processes
as long as I remember, she hated zelda and rpgs in general (although she did like pokemon), she was heavily into team fortress 2 and terraria (not minecraft), and she always catched up with any fps, like return to castle wolfenstein, doom and quake, to give known examples.
You're cute. And a faceless nameless shit talking troll. I'm guessing you're young or just don't have a girlfriend.... See I have a girlfriend, a beautiful one, and she has a wonderful hackintosh with fl studio and pro tools so YES I can make music better than you, not to mention i DID post the comment in order to actually raise a logical debate with those willing to have it, which I did with others, but clearly that's not you because you jumped straight to the name calling and cussing like a 12 year old who just found the word "fuck".
No, they don't. They like what their macho likes.
>two boyfriends ago, listened to shitty EDM, she went to calvin harris, zedd, hardwell, etc.
>last bf, Metallica, SoaD, shitty dad rock and stupid mainstream metal
>Me, fucking superior taste, I'm fucking this bitch 24/7 while listening to swans
my gf likes modest mouse / arcade fire / the antlers / neutral milk hotel from what i've introduced to her
i mean her taste isnt "le super patrician man woman face" but she listens to music that we can both enjoy so its cool
Why so judgemental? Good taste in music is subjective ofcourse, but I would define it as pretty much people who dare to expand beyond what their friends and family listen to. I am pretty defensive of my music taste, and naturally I think my taste is better than everyone elses. But as someone said earlier, maybe it's because I am ugly://////
representing the ladies you mother fuckers.
sure some of us are lameo top 40 hoes but there are just as many dudes with crappy taste.
Women are the best musicians because they know how to play you
if she is a cute girl
arctic monkeys is good taste in that standards.
With girls you have to base their taste on how they look.
It's rare to fine a 8/10 girl with patrician taste that is single
> blanket assumptions about half the world's population concerning music taste
Does that sound sensible to you? Unless you can find serious study results, the only answers you're going to get here are prejudice and extremely anecdotal evidence.
What is good taste?
To me it's being able to reason why you like certain music withouth sentences like "it sounds good". The ability to really define your taste to me is good taste regardles of the music because that shit is 100% subjective
So by my definition no. Girls cant to that cuz they dumb
>tfw currently crushing hard on an atmospheric bm qt
It's a different kind of feel
People in general have awful taste in most thing because they don't dwell into arts as much as you do, accept it and move along, it isn't something about genre
>I was a weirdo up until high school, but I always had a taste in music that stood out
>In high school, became a hipster and also developed social skills
>Still had good taste in music
I know many girls, most of which I know are interested in music to a certain degree which ranges from shallow to deep.
Evidently, I have noticed that those who share a shallow interest in music, those who are only interested in music as an object which allows them to dance, or to have a familiar and friendly background noise to everyday activities, etc. don't get to know as much music as the ones who share a deeper interest in music, since they (naturally) never even tried to (this applies to men as well). This means that the music that they listen to is liminited in quantity to the amount of music that they have come in contact with, mainly (if not exclusively) through mainstream media and the recommendation of people to whom they are close (parents, friends), so there is little variation to the music that they know.
However, even under these conditions, they don't all like the same music.
Just like you, OP, they apprehend that they like the little music that they listen to for certain reasons, and they understand that this forms a part of their identity exactly for that reason.
A girl (or a guy) may only know the old popular rock music her parents showed her and the new top 40 pop music she has listened to on the radio, on tv, in parties, etc. but she will still establish preferences based on her personal experiences or beliefs related to music and that will determine the way in which they interpretate the new music they come in contact with. That is taste.
Are there any girls who like Death Grips?
I don't think so.
