ITT: Everyone in class gets to ask my edgy friend a question about his presentation topic/PowerPoint after he's done. What should I ask? He's analyzing noise music and its development with the help of Big Black.
Now he's playing the entirety of Kerosene live from London '87
I bet he thought >7 minutes of Big Black would be required to give all the normies ear cancer
He read those lyrics out loud not even kidding ayyyyyy
I hate what the internet (specifically 4chan and RYM) did to underground music scenes.
The kids that would have ended up as video game nerds, weaboos, chronic masturbators and warhammer enthusiasts now like to spread their autistic gospel of so-called "experimental" music.
Ask him why he isn't analyzing noise pop and it's related subgenres like shoegazing and dream pop. Also call him a cuck
>implying autistic kids who spread their autistic gospel of so-called "experimental" music aren't video game nerds, weaboos and chronic masturbators too
u always need hide your power level
OP, you do realize you've made yourself a target now right? I'm sure he's autistic enough to come to /mu/, & he's peobably not fucking stupid enough to not figure out the placement of where you're sitting next time class happens.
All i'm saying is i wouldn't be surprised to hear about a death in the news.
You're 100% on-point.
The amount of embarrassing dweebs who jack themselves off over how far-out their taste in art is because they like Swans(an especially egregious case; just look at the sort of crowd that comes to Swans concerts now) or Merzbow(or in the case of the king goon in the OP, Big Black) while no understanding whatsoever of that art beyond the surface level(not that genuine appreciation and understanding is what these sorts of people are after in the first place; a fashionably "authentic" image is) is truly depressing.
>mfw the teach had everyone do a presentation on their favourite song/band in high school
I was so glad they didn't have time for everyone in the end
Pic related is OP, doing his Death grips presentation. He thought it was a good idea to play Klink infront of the normies.
>play Klink infront of the normies.
That's the one thing I agree with him with, I think klink is one of the more accessible songs.
Not really sure I'd classify DG as noise rock tho
How is Klink accessible? It is literally Ride making monkey noises
Fever is way more accessible, it has a much softer start and it has a much simpler rhythm also really catchy.
Or hell, any other song from Money store, like Get got or even Hustle Bones. The videoclip of the latter actually summarizes Deathgrips pretty well too.
Klink is like one of the inaccessible songs if anything
Coming from a non-english country, we had smth like that in an english specialty class.
We had to make listen and present an "engaged song"
>muh bloody sunday
>muh beds are burning
>every cliche song went through it
I went with Rise Against's Hero of War.
After listening to it again I reckon I misconstrued being one of my fav dg songs with being successful. Although the beat does have a groove that you can get into and it does sample a popular song, so that would make it more accessible.
Either way I think playing any dg song for your class is an unexplored realm of bad decisions.
This is getting funny.
This would have happened even without 4chan. Every generation sees young people trying to find "strong", "powerful", maybe provocative music they can think they relate to — and it's all too easy with the internet to find just that.
clearly an empty classroom.. psychopaths, I'd say go do something else but yall would prolly wanna shoot up a school, huh?
Hey mr patrician, there are people exactly like you who think 'oh I'm so distant from this site I'm just going on it for cringe' that they're just as attached as the ones who like it. At least try and make it better you dingdong by contributing something other than 2/10 posts like that
