Flatlander is best Death Grip
Prove me wrong.
>protip: you can't.
What's a flatlander and does it have anything to do with the killphrase for Anna Navarre?
i feel like andy doesnt get the respect he deserves and i have a feeling puts in more production than anyone else and i dig dat production
i can see why he never talks
that was awkward as fuck everything from the silent car ride to the most depressing studio ive ever seen (even though i liked how he had everything setup to fit that small ass room)
He gave a shitload of interviews when Exmilitary was first released and everybody except Zach were only known by their stage names. But he never talks in on camera interviews.
Gotta agree with you though. Pretty depressing studio, but impressed with how he could fit everything in that tiny room.
I always found it pretty cool how Flatlander went from this relatively small time producer and sound engineer to a big name musician.
I know that he's been longtime friends with Zach. I think he did most of the engineering on his album Face Tat.
np anon, here's some more flatty for you
BASED ANON PRAISE BE UNTO HIM FOR DELIVERING MORE FLATLANDER
doubt it but he did have a cellphone jammer so could be real
real reason? no, but most things point toward absence being due to the nldw shenanigans. apparently he left due to problems with epic or something. /mu/ pretty much established he was in iceland, look it up in the archives because i'm too lazy
Went to a Death Grips show in Portland right before Flatty disappeared. After the show, I went out back to smoke and saw him. I went up and said 'hey Andy'. He didn't really look at me, but he just quietly said 'hey'. I asked him where Zach and Stefan were, but he kinda dodged the question. I told him the show was cool and he just smiled and laughed and thanked me for coming out, but he still wouldn't look at me, almost like he was scared of me or something.
All in all, he was a cool guy, just really awkward. He kinda stuttered a lot too.
yeah either him or megazord (or also a very niche theory is zach's brother) as andy seems the most knowledgeable about computers and internet culture out of the 3 from what i've seen. idk if he posted pics of korea but some of them have also been linked with iceland. also his reddit profile had a post about being in iceland before.
could be but i doubt it, andy has had a steady twitter to post dg related stuff. zach had a bunch of twitters (and a tumblr) in the past, which he kept deleting and a similar pattern of deletions keeps happening to bbpoltergeist/iest.
zach's brother got the age of 4chan wrong in that interview though lol
>Zach just rehearses or does side projects until he breaks bones.
I saw Hella (Zach's other band) live in 2006. Zach was playing so hard that he accidentally sliced his finger open on a cymbal and still finished the set. I heard with DG he once played so hard that he broke his hand during a show.
Ride is objectively the best rapper. His lyrics are extremely unique and inventive. All the metaphors make it sound surreal although there's a narrative in every song. His delivery is expressive, even disregarding the fact it's in a genre where monotonous talking is the standard. No, he doesn't always shout. There's whispering, talking, other voice effects, he actually recites repeated lyrics differently like on Voila or Come Up And Get Me. Some people think his flow is sloppy but his own rhythm on top of Zach's drums only makes it even more interesting.
