is there any music that's actually nice? I am sick of listening to music and just feeling like it's trying to convey a dark message to me in any way. I just want to listen to some music that is soothing and relaxing. I don't mean like music that has no balls and just kind of wafts it's way through your ears, I mean just something nice and not overly happy and sappy and not stupidly slow and drear, just something that will make me feel good.
If you want some earthy, relaxing and god-tier folk music, check out Michael Hurley, king of the snoozers
>what's with these homies dissing my girl
Obviously an attack on blacks and also hinting that women are incapable of defending themselves
> I look just like buddy holly
Buddy holly a popular "white" rock n roll star was one of the key players in stealing black culture for suburban and sheltered whites.
I could go on but I think I made my point. WAKE UP! RACISM IS RAMPANT AND INJUSTICE IS IB OUR HOMES
portishead is very depressive. I listen to them when I'm down all the time.
this is pretty cool I guess but sort of reminds me of winos and box cars
seriously I love brian eno, that was a good suggestion. I was just listening to another green world and feeling good. I wish I could find more interesting artsy music.
How about bossa nova and/or samba?
Are you fond of sand dunes and salty air?
Jane Weaver - The Silver Globe
Julia Holter - Exstasis (maybe too dark in places)
Nico - The Marble Index
later Kate Bush obviously.
Basically you want female art pop.
Jane Weaver - Cells from the silver globe album
Most of it's more upbeat than this, but with the same glow to it. Beautiful record.
Nico was funny April fool joke, don't do that.
>I hate gorillaz so much
good taste. try some feel-good 40s /50s swing:
Classical also sounds pretty good:
