well I thought the lineup was good enough to head to amsterdam for
im a basic bitch so im psyched to see
four tet, blawan, jackmaster, joy orbison, objekt, palm trax, serge, lone, matrixxman, omar s, paranoid london, tessela
standouts being palm trax, lone, paranoid london
friday ill try ufo stage up to squarepusher then go see joy o instead
saturday ufo stage all day(maybe magic mountain high and anthony naples instead of phase and talismann)
sunday main stage in the morning up til recondite, the lab at night
think the boiler room lineup will have the hessle trio playing separately as they were on the poster separately and listed as "hessle audio trio" so I'll see ben ufo twice if that's the case
actress live aswell
tom trago live
lots of hard decisions to make
like i feel like i might not even get that fucked up cos there's so much to see
So, what do you think, /bleep/? Already bought the ticket, so, pretty excited.
DJs I would consider seeing live.
>big up the Leicester massive
my tolerance is through the roof now though, a 200mg pill that used to put me on the floor now leaves me looking for another.
A shame cos it makes what used to be a cheap night out more expensive
UK Garbage/Pardners and lads
"Jungle is not music"
"The whole techno genre sucked"
I don't think I'll actually have to explain why I chose these, most of those should be fairly obvious.
Antti is the face of /bleep/, no meme has had nearly as much of a cultural impact on /bleep/ as his infamous statement.
UK Garbage similarly impacted thread culture immensely, it's incredible what the words "UK Garage edition" can do to a thread.
Jungle is not music, guys.
Scaruffi's statement on Techno is also very interesting because it's both true and obviously wrong.
I believe that it's important that people know what to meme and what not to meme.
I try helping them with their decisions by rating memes, so the meme quality memes only.
Naturally this is just a guideline, you can and should meme whatever you want to meme.
That freedom is what memes are all about after all.
It's good in the sense of what it did.
You need to look beyond personal preference when you're discussing memes, because they have very objective qualities.
One of those qualities is the very impact a meme has had on the culture.
Influence is, to a certain degree, quality.
The more a meme does, the more important it is.
And the more important a meme, the better is it, to a certain point.
Obviously memery isn't just a popularity contest, there's more to it.
UK Garbage gave purpose to countless threads.
It's a top tier meme, whether you like it or not.
I have no idea.
Also, an obvious one.
Ah yeah, iconic.
This one and the Hessle one are p good too.
individually looks cool as f
eglo are always pretty good though
not really a logo but hemlock sleeves always look pretty bangin'
Yeah I've always thought that.
It's p good.
Hmm, looks alright. Where have you been anyway Turny? Haven't seen you on here or last.fm in aaages.
The way it goes round the label is sick.
Doesn't really count I guess, more hip hop anyhow.
Work, family, travel and old people stuff.
Ah I forgot about that one, breddy gud.
>old people stuff
Forgot about this one too, really cool imo.
Posting my second favourite label cover
I don't do either of those things and I am into bleeps. Just do it.
nah, bottom right looks dodgy af though
only one I can remember the name of
dunno, was 14 at the time, can't remember and not taken any for years now so nothing to compare to really
it was great but the scene now all over Europe seems pretty good too
i, and most of the rest of the civilised/ /bleep/ world, think you are wrong.
however before you fall into the trap of thinking that means you are alternative and going against the trend, it does not. it means you have no ear for musicality and shit taste
god i hate psytrance, it literally ruined britains rave scene
>it literally ruined britains rave scene
Thank the government for that.
It's one of the better blemes.
So, have you heard the Jungle EPOTY yet?
Surprisingly that isn't my overall EPOTYSF, which I think is ヘデナー & Raveman - FOTVÆRK RÆV.
Mind you, after I finished high school I went to Asia, when I went to Thailand the Full Moon Parties there were often like that, with all the glow in the dark paint on the walls of marijuana leaves and mushrooms etc, fucking good mushrooms there though.
New tracks by Goldie and Cold Mission (4 Hero) and tracks from Double O and Threshold who've released stuff on Rupture LDN and 117. Shit's amazing.
Only annoying thing is that it's on DJ Stretch's label Ako Beatz which seems like it's following the trend of 8205 Recs, Pressin' Hard and 117's main label of being vinyl only (at least to start off with). So rips will be hard to find for a while.
Also this is probably my favourite DJ Stretch track.
