is there a label creating doper pop than PC music right now?
>hell fuckin no, anon
I thought so too, but their latest releases are fuckin' dope as hell.
Also, how many people do you guys think are actually in their label vs. the number of artists?
Sophie I hear is actually A.G. Cook, Hannah Diamond might be a guy? Anybody else heard this?
No it's not. These guys try to push this shit as it was some kind of musical masterpiece while it's youtube-chipmunk's garbage. I honestly don't get all these pretentious dumbfucks who listen to certain artists in an ironic way. Same goes for dressing like blind hobos in an ironic way.
genre is based on grouping music by structural similarities and differences - if you listen to a piece of music and you say "gee wizz, this is ironic/post-ironic/post-post-inauthentic-ironclad-sinceritywave", then you're confusing the attitudes around the music with the sound itself and you're a fuck.
pc music is a class project majority of them suck ass. so sophie and a.g. have to use the girls as personas but they can't produce worth a shit
gfoty being a prime example she follows me on twitter :)
kinda I mean orignally sophie was suppose to be hey qt and his identity as being a guy and face wasn't suppose to be known. but ryans hemsworth leaked his photos and pissed xl recordings off. so now they are focusing on hey qt project and hannah diamond.
SO MUCH TALENT!
>“I’m forever near a stereo saying, ‘What the fuck is this garbage?’ And the answer is always PC music.”

for a type of music that's so simple, it's funny how much you seem to misunderstand it.
it's catchy music that compared to most of the other catchy music being made atm is actually interesting. the chipmunk vocals might be a cheap trick, but it sounds good once you accept it and it's funny and weird. i genuinely enjoy this music, and not "ironically".
It's definitely not made to please a certain demographic. Sure some of it may be goofy in an ironic kind of way but, all the artists on PC music take their work very seriously and truly try and express themselves through their work. Check out some interviews with some of them and I think you'll see that they are the real deal.
Hayden who plays QT is just an performance actor. YOu should just watch her face when she's up their. She really does an excellent job of capturing the feeling that the set is trying to portray.
>I honestly don't get all these pretentious dumbfucks who listen to certain artists in an ironic way.
I like PC Music (almost) without any sort of detours such as irony or satire or parody. The only borderline ironic part is some of their presentation and even that is relatively ambiguous, at least when they do it well.
And at the same time I strongly dislike that sort of mainstream pop to which PC music is very similar but in another way also very different from. I guess the principle of differentiation is musical quality. Just like there is good vs. bad black metal or noise or whatever, where "bad" can mean either cheesy, corny, badly produced, boring, uninspired, etc... I think this post said it well too >>55347052
reported for viral marketing fuck off you stupid cunts.
ironic shitposting is still shitposting.
obviously there is no deep meaning to it, its just for fun
but they genuinely like pop music
it may be satirical but its completely serious at the same time
read some sophie or ag cook interviews
they are pretty cool dudes and they aren't kooky in any way
You guys DO realize that in order to start a brand new movement amongst the masses, and you have music as a core part of that, that you first make sure that your music isn't the most painfully ironic, overly produced garbage in recent pop history to the point that it makes So Macho seem like Cloudbusting?
>tfw pc music was invented 20 years ago in poland, it was laughed off back then
>now posh uk students reinvents it but gives it ironic imagery and "deeper" meaning and it becomes big hit in underground music
I don't think she even sings the song. On the pitched down version, I'm pretty sure you can hear an English accent, and that Hayden chick is an American. I reckon it' Hannah Diamond.who sings Hey QT.
bet you think you're so fucking clever right now
bet you're hoping for a bunch of responses saying how smart you are and how right you are
we went over this
it's two separate entities
you are wrong
But check that pc music track i linked to and this
What makes it much different and perhaps worse than pc music? Not being made by rich posh kids?
There was a post once that said that if pc music was made by working class people and not art students, it would be laughed at and i see it clearly now.
btw I'm dead serious here. Tracks like I posted were my first elecronic music i got into as a kid. These are considered extremely pleb in my country, and it's a shame to listen to it. You can only imagine my face when after years i see same music as the underground scene hit and sophisticated 2deep4u music.
Yeah except PC music doesn't really market anything besides QT drink which they probably don't even make much off of. Plus all of their music is free and they sell no merch. I think most of their "marketing" is just them promoting their music, which they are really into and care a lot about.
Now that i look at it i went ahead with my though like i would on some polish forum while you guys don't really know what i'm talking about nor never even heard mr bronkz and such. Sorry
Other than that its value comes down to your appreciation of the tracks. Some of the songs really sound like a school project with pointless exercises of melody and lyrics that are probably used solely because they rhyme. But there are other songs that aren't quite so weak in these areas, which incorporate some talent and coherency as well. For example, I really like Every Night by Hannah Diamond.
