It's weeknd and y'all niggas act like this is not the best time to produce, don't let this general die edition
Remember to use:
>clyp.it for posting WiPs
No one gives a shit about your soundcloud, so don't post it unless specifically asked to.

How was your day /prod/? Mine:
>met a guy that was also in producing
> say's he is interested in getting a maschine cause but got a push but never use it
> i got a maschine but never use that piece of shit and am interested in getting a push cause getting tired at only looking at a screen "reason i got a maschine"
> have a agreement to borrow each our shit for 1-2 months
so hopefully some dank techno beats these couple months.
In all seriousness dont let this shit die i want to see /prod/ being revived the same as like /bleep/
this shit should also be a containment thread for all producer related questions.
It seems that the bass is overpowering the rest of the mix. Are you eqing/sidechaining your bass to the kick? What DAW are you using?
Do something else other than make music. Go outside, play vidya, make other art, watch a movie, listen to music, study a subject you find interesting, spend time with your waifu, just do something else. You'll probably come back to making music a bit more relaxed, maybe even inspired by the other things you did.
>I made my own drumset for this
>Also took some time for the mid-range bass
>Also it's brostep, but not really.
also how the fuck do i get people to listen to my music?
i started posting on sc threads on mu and i've got like 70 followers, and around 400 listens, im not following anybody, how do i gain a fanbase?
Put yourself out there. This generally means to go anywhere on the web/IRL that people could potentially listen to your music (Like going to a plug.dj room and offering comments/critique on other producers' songs being played, reposting/liking/commenting/critiquing other people on soundcloud, possibly asking around youtube music channels if they could post your music, going out to bars/clubs/cafe's, etc. )
networking IRL show people your shit they will show more people your shit
"Yo you seen that shit Anon made" and through this mouth to mouth advertisement it will spread.
this is why it essential that the genre you make is also matching your own personality / lifestyle
> Not like a metal dude suddely making vaporwave
also i know a lot of people that share their shit on a fb page.
bumping before i go to sleep
>tfw cant produce when im asleep
