How was your day /prod/? Mine:
>bought an akai mpk mini
>Finished muh ep
>Starting to grow an audience
my day has been kinda shit. i'm rolling ideas around my brain for my new album/EP. i even picked up some workflow planning software called "simplemind" to help me organize everything. still haven't really gotten started yet so I feel a little stagnant. I drove around the countryside with a coffee and thought things through.
congratulations on your purchase OP
My day was pretty good. Got in a good amount of /prod/ work before I now have to do school stuff.

how do i promote my shit?
nearly got a material for a full ep, but how to release it?
im unsigned, 3 record labels are following me on soundcloud, that's all
i have like 70 followers, where do i share my shit?
most people that listen to my music tell me that its great, and i get a lot of positive feedback on SC
How do i ambient?
Ambient techno and sci-fi ambient stuff like early OPN in particular. Also more stretched out stuff.
Any advice in the production of pads etc? I want to know some tips. Thanks in advance.
Go to the big city, go to an art museum or something like that, talk to people about music, ask if they'd like a free CD, repeat at restaurants in the area.
You could also get social with the music crowd in your area.
Hi /prod/! Never been here, but I have a question and I hope you guys can help. Is there any kind of program that emulates a synth? I have 0 money for a synth and there's no used market for that kind of stuff here so I'd have to buy something really expensive if I ever got one. Thanks in advance.
Sorry guys I'm sort of a dumbass but is there a device that has knobs and keys that can serve as physical interface for software vsts and if so what are they called and are they configurable from everywhere to like to be able to assign to any of the software's knobs a physical knob?
Rate my waveforms, mastered vs unmastered. Reluctant to post the song before it's finished
That's what you'd call a MIDI controller, examples would be the M-Audio Trigger Finger (the old one, I think the new one is a bit more complicated) and the Korg Nanokontrol.
The way you configure them depends on your DAW, in Reaper, what I use, there's a function that lets you wiggle a slider or press a button and assign that to the most recent parameter you changed of any VST
