i will post this in every summer/sunshine/happy album thread
I strongly associate this one with the summer because my best friend and I played it pretty much every hour last summer
Enemies - We've Been Talking
Enemies - Embark, Embrace
Tycho - Awake
FIDLAR - FIDLAR
Gossamer - Passion Pit
An Idea - guido
Illumination - Miami Horror
Melting Suns - Lantlos
Summer Heat LP - Blackbird BlackBird
French Ghetto - Strawberry Girls
I don't really care for any of their other albums but this one is a 10/10.
Don't know why everyone insists this is a winter album, this album sounds hot and stuffy as hell. Maybe it's just because I really started to love it last summer and I live in Texas
Eliane Radigue supplying the dopest warm ambient drone. Through some Stars Of The Lid in there as well
I don't understand what you are trying to say, I associate Deathconsciousness with summer therefore it is a summer album to me.
yeah you didn't know that? lol you massive pleb, all the real patricians were born 7000 years ago and have experienced every musical movement in history first hand but if you listen to an album any year after it was released then your career as a music listener is immediately tarnished and you must live in a monastery listening to Bull Of Heaven for the rest of eternity.
man dont be such a solipsist, it's annoying if you just make it about you and then no one gets you
A Great Big Pile Of Leaves definitely fit the summer feels
Could be AOTY material too.
doesnt get much better than this
First listen was when biking during a warm summer sunset. Sounded like it was made for it.
Good for when the car A/C's broken and it's 95ºF out and you roll the windows down to try to get some fresh air but it's just hot air blowing in
Poster's being a nigger
It's "Mewled Elm" by Amica Mia
Poppy, lo-fi guitar-based stuff from Italy that sounds kinda like a cross between Mac Demarco and Washed Out
I know there used to be a link to it somewhere in the archives but it DL'd it like 4 years ago so I'm not sure
Happy findings though
I have no idea what this is though
Personally I think Don Cab is to busy and focused to be good summer music
Posting an essential, both of his albums fit the bill
awesome choices in this thread
I will post a collage on /mu/ once I'm done listening to a couple more albums.
This thread is now house-core.
>not keeping it related regardless
There's even a song called The Summer Ends ya dinguses, the whole feel of the album is something like late september when it's still kind of hot outside, but you're going towards more uncertain and colder times since summer is kind of an inbetween period where you relax, AF is more of a "wtf's gonna happen now/where am I/we going" album
Just came out a few weeks ago. Definitely got those smooth summer vibes.
This is my summer
This album is obscure, but it's still embarrassing that nobody's posted it yet
been playing this nonstop
>Also R.E.M.'s Reveal is god-tier
