Post some good industrial music albums.
It's fucking sad that this list is separated in two.
All of the stuff in the lower half is industrial as well but only on /mu/ will you find ignorant bleepheads who will argue otherwise.
Test Department (Beating the Retreat), Missing Foundation (s/t), Chu Ishikawa (soundtrack), Esplendor Geometrico (Kosmos Kino) for rhytmic and percussion based industrial
Noiser the better: NON (God and Beast and Rise), Whitehouse (Bird Seed and Great White Death), SPK (Leichenschrei)
Thanks, anon! Already listened to Bird Seed by Whitehouse. I didn't really care for the quieter parts - which is why I haven't really bothered with much power electronics, as much of it seems awfully quiet.
Gonna check out the rest of this, though!
Seeing Näive there made me remember that I really wish KMFDM would take a break from their streak of mediocre albums.
I mean, i dunno if Sascha has any new ideas left by now but it would be better for the band's legacy.
factrix are underrated
>chrome is "proper" industrial
>zoviet France, Coil and Cabaret Voltaire aren't
If you wanna get some kicks, dial DI-1-9026
Who is going to this?
Most of Skinny Puppy's first decade is top-tier industrial. Last Rights and Too Dark Park are commonly considered their best, and are better starting points if you're not already familiar, but i think VIVIsectVI is their real peak.
I wish I could get into Skinny Puppy, but for some reason electro-industrial turns me off completely
he's probably one of those people who claim that Foetus isn't industrial, because of the cheesy overtures and Thirlwell's wacky voice
well foetus has nothing to do with industrial
it pretty goofy music in a positive way
nigga are you serious lol
no one's brought up industrial hip hop yet so I'll name a few of those
Kill The Vultures
who here /inner-x-musick/
>mfw NIN is the only industrial band with decently written lyrics
>mfw NIN is the only industrial band that didn't try super hard to be edgy
>mfw NIN is thew only industrial band I'm not embarrassed to bring up in a 'what do you listen to' conversation with people irl
it does sound like what it is: industrial rock
at least the first three albums do.
THE DOWNWARD SPIRAL IS OVERRATED AS FUCK.
REZNOR IS AT HIS BEST WHEN HE GETS ANGRY AND WRITES KICKASS RIFFS
HIS NASAL WHINY VOICE IS UNBEARABLE AND NOBODY GIVES A SHIT ABOUT HOW BADLY HIS GIRLFRIENDS TREAT HIM
HENCE WHY BROKEN IS THE BEST NIN RELEASE AND THE DOWNWARD SPIRAL IS ONLY GOOD WHEN IT GOES IN THE SAME DIRECTION AS BROKEN.
FUCK RESTRAINT, INDUSTRIAL ISN'T ABOUT RESTRAINING YOURSELF
NIN are amazing, never really got into PHM, but still thought it to be a good album. the shit which came out during the fragile era and after was cool, but TDS and Broken were honestly his best stuff.
Fixed and FDTS, now thats my shit
>mfw it's only a matter of time
