What's the most intensely sad / feels album?
For me it has to be pic related. Something about it is so personal. And it's almost relatable whether you're going something presently, or remembering a dark time, considering this was after his whole ordeal with drugs.
Hospice would be my runner-up I guess, even though some people think it's melodramatic.
God tier taste, anon.
I'll stick with Frusciante and say that this album was remarkably sad, or at least very personal. I love how on a few tracks you can literally hear how badly his health had deteriorated from his heroin addiction, the best example being "I Can't See Until I See Your Eyes"
Plus the fact Joaquin Phoenix was on a couple tracks makes the overall feel of the record as it is today very haunting.
I'll post a few more.
I'll throw out one of my personal favorites, this album just feels cold and haunting. Issac Brock really scored with this side project, I just wish there was more.
>that feel when Off This Century
>October All Over
10/10 album imo
Sure, from that album though. When considering it in the lineup of John Frusciante, this album definitely isn't the best, and it isn't entirely representative of the music he makes
so the first one is really bad and I think part of the reason for that is the low quality and the fact that the whole tune goes into my left ear and his voice alone goes into my right ear. Also dont really like his wailing.
Feminity was alright, wish it had better quality the song sometimes cuts off.
Nigger song... pretty bad but not hilariously awful like the song you posted earlier and the first one
To each his own. I appreciate the artistry in the music, and therefore I take it as is, bad quality and wailing and all.
If you want some Frusciante that's a little more cleaned and polished, check out the album in the OP.
Plus he does a lot of electronic music, one of his most well known songs is this.
That Sufjan album, the last one. Geez men, you're christian right? You should be happy because eternal life, loving god, etc, I think.
>that The Only Thing
The first time I cried like a baby listening to music
Glad you found some you enjoyed. Have a few more. The last is a personal favorite, and I'm only a little ashamed to admit I rip off quite a few of my solos from that song.
