have you ever had an argument over music ruin a friendship /mu/?
>ruin a friendship
I almost killed someone for not liking pic related
Get on my level
I got in a big fight with one of my friends over Trout Mask Replica.
I didn't mind that he didn't like it but more over the fact that he only listened to 2 tracks before coming to that conclusion and because he said that it wasn't music because music needs to "sound good".
it's fine if you believe that but there should at least be a full listen and a conversation before you dismiss an album that acclaimed, not just "id doesnt sound nice" before you go back to listen to Ed Sheeran.
He has softened a lot over the years, I think the show has given him a lot of perspective. He used to be so dismissive towards comedy that wasn't "real" or "rooted in pain" or whatever whereas now he's much more open to it and at least tries to understand where other people are coming from.
My one friend listens to conspiracy theory rap and made fun of me for liking Kanye and clipse and run the jewels and some other stuff. He was obnoxious for a lot of other reasons so I started ducking his calls.
A lot of AC/DC songs sound the same. They found their sound and perfected it, ok but I don't understand how anyone could bear to listen to them regularly.
People think I'm weird for liking the production on a top20 song on the radio sometimes. I think they're edgelords who think they're somehow cooler for liking alternative music. Not that top20 isn't usually shit.
I punched my moms arm once for making fun of Matt Bellamy's falsetto.
I was a little autismo.
Did once, friendship didn't ended tho.
I felt extremely grossed by myself and even today I cringe, that's when I learned to just stop caring, now when people ask what I listen to, the answer is a always "nothing in particular"
