Guys... this is an 89 motobecane i resprayed. Im wondering about shifters. Since i already upped the wheels to shimano r500s im not really stuck on keeping it original. It came with a set of 2x6 braze ons but friction so could work with the 2x8 im upping it to. Or i got a set of damn near perfect rsx stis i could smack on there.
Melbourne Commuter Rail network >Pros: -Covers most of the suburbs -Loop drops off and picks up people around the city centre >Cons: oh boy where to begin lel -Since 1969 every single government has focused on building Freeways and letting rail rot. 1969 Melbourne Transportation Plan laid out 10 Freeways, the last was finished in 2005. They're all congested. People are switching back to rail use. So the plan is to build more freeways. -With the focus on road development and the lack of investment... Comment too long. Melbourne Tram network >Pros heavy coverage in the city centre and surround inner urban area. You can hop off the trains catch the trams to keep going, switch from one tram to another, etc >Cons -Quite a few stops are often only 100 meters apart -In older streets that have one lane on either side of the tram tracks the councils often allow curb side parking - meaning people park in that one lane, meaning all traffic is forced on the tram tracks meaning all traffic grinds to a halt! -The lightrail... Old one is on autosage. Would fancier wheels reduce the amount of windup flex from braking with disc brakes? More spokes? Different spokes? Different lacing? I switched a few months ago and I find the flexing a little bit disconcerting.
I'm just getting into riding again. Commuting to work the other day was so much fun I decided I'm gonna start going on longer rides as long as it doesn't interfere with my weight training.
Anyway, i don't think there's a c25k style program for cycling. There's really not a need. There's no limiting factor when it comes to riding continuously like there is running. Buuuut. How do you get better as a complete beginner?
For todays ride, I took it easy. I made sure I was capable of singing (Don't you want me, baby? *gasp gasp... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>not front suspension But it does have front suspension! lol
Cannondale catalogs are readily available online, I'm not going to go hunting for your specific model but you can likely find it in years 1992-1995. Market value is minimal, look what the cheapest working bike goes for in your market and that's what I'd expect it to sell for - it's not a desireable bike nor are there any nice parts worth transplanting to a better frame.
>>893407 Depends on what I'm doing if it's a commute then it's like 4-5 miles with some hills 17-25 on flats 10-16 on hills but if I'm doing a long ride then it's more like 18mph (the trail near me is almost perfectly flat for like40 miles one way.
>drunk right now so take this with a grain of salt but I'm double checking and evrything looks right
Where = different places, prefer mountains. I have some nice HC climbs around my area which are fun. Speed = Average for the whole ride is generally around 30-35 depending on how much of it is spent climbing. What = Aluminum frame, but upgraded to ultegra, really light wheelset, etc.
Rides are generally around 100-120km and now that I have classes I can only realistically get out twice a week. During summer usually 3 or 4 times a week.

While laughing at the Biking plebeians, let talk about how great Private Jets are. My personal favorite are Cessna Citation Xs and sometimes even Boeing 757s. >post your Private jets, laugh at Bike plebeians.
