/o/ i need help deciding, should i buy an Xbox One or a Lincoln Electric Welder?
500 dollars on my PayPal set to the side.
I recieved Fallout 4 for Xmas but dont own an Xbone and my project needs very minor rust repair, like less than 1" of rust.
Pic unrelated, a bird drinking melted chocolate milkshake
You'll get much more use out of the console, but the welder can be sued in more projects. I'd say go with the welder, it might get you into some cool new projects you wouldn't have gone into otherwise.
So I'm looking to buy a new car in February. I want something that's fun to drive, easy to drive around town and something that doesn't make me want to kill myself when I have to drive more than 2 hours at 150+ kph.
I've narrowed it down to these cars:
Ford Fiesta (1.0 Ecoboost w/ 100-140 hp or the ST)
Renault Clio (120 hp or the 90 hp diesel, hatch or wagon)
They all cost between 14 and 17k and have done between 12 and 23k km.
Which one would you choose, and why?
What are the alternatives?
I think the...

>Americans think rollstart "racing" on the highway is racing
>Americans think drag "racing" is racing
What does /o/ think of the 300zx?
I'm thinking of getting one; only 9k to work with though. I assume that should be ok
your car keys, show them
Now I can't afford this at all but browsing craigslist and found this gem.
what kind of car is that?
>It will never be the 80s again
I know most of /o/ is in the 14-25 range that think GT-Rs are good daily drivers, but what are some daily drivers that actual adults might drive?
Can we talk about the obvious superiority of VR engines over any other engine design?
>Six cylinders takes up the same amount of room as an I4
>Only one cylinder head
>Exhaust all exits on the same side
>Less complicated than a V engine with the same number of cylinders
Literally the only downside is that your bore size can't be too big without widening the block
Why is BMW incapable of making a lightweight coupe? like seriously look at this shit.
how did they fuck up this hard with a performance car? it's like someone from audi invaded their shit and was just like "hey lets add power assist on every single component of the car! what's an m3 again?"
You have to sacrifice luxury to make a car light. My Mazda 3 hatchback weights 3k lbs and I can hear myself driving over the pain of the lines on the road. What exactly do you drive that makes a 335i such shit?
/o/ so i went full retard and bought a car without a catalytic comverter, anyway the CEL is on and its giving off a P0420 code and wasting MASSIVE gas, like im getting the same MPGs as a 8cyl on a 4 cyl, is there anything i can do to fix the mpgs without buying a new cat?
Where i live theres no emissions so thats not an issue
if u dont have a cat you will get better mpg but in no way less
running rich is prolly caused by the lambda sensor u just need to pull it out
I also bought a car without a cat, no CEL's, in city a lot of fuel consumed but I also push the shit out of the tiny engine. Highway is pretty much unchanged.
Semi Automatic Transmission should be standard in all cars.
>Quicker than stick shift
>Doesn't require clutch or taking a hand off the wheel to shift
Face it. Semi-Auto is better
>But I want full control of muh car
Shut the fuck up you Autist.
Soccer moms don't have use for it, its more complicated, more expensive to fix and heavier than a standard manual.
A sequential manual is superior in every way except longevity, and street manners.
Oh what a day!
Its christmas, I work in retail... however the store was open 12-2 today and i was running the shift and happily due to 3x the pay rate for those 4 hours; not that the wage is that good even at 3x.
Well at 13:22 we got armed robbed.
They didnt get much (£600 ish?) as almost all was in the top safe however the pricks swipped the front of my car as they drove off, so now i have to wait till next pay day (28/1/16) and end up spending £200? to fix my damn bumper as its not worth claiming on insurance as my excess is 1.7k
So hows your xmas going lads?
Alright /o/ I've been hearing different shit about this so I'd figured I might as well ask here too. I'm looking to get new wheels but they will require adapters. Going from 5x110 to 5x100. The forums for my car are saying to go with US made 20mm adapters, though they're $150-$200. Where as the ebay ones are 25mm and are only like $75. Is that 5mm really a big deal? Does it mater that they're ebay brand?
