Automotive related feels thread
>dad passed away suddenly after massive heart attack
>never had the chance to do a father son project car with him
pic semi related, something i've always wanted to build
another one i forgot to mention
>i'll never have a collection like Jay Leno
I love all cars and he's got everything. even steam cars ffs.
maybe i can suck his dick and he'll let me look after his collection
I don't have any auto related feels at the moment, but I'm here to give you company
my dad was really into cars and it was nice being able to ask him about a model i couldn't identify and knew nothing about.
also sucks just not bullshitting about cars in general
>also hope to at least drive a sonorous v12 one day
what's the best car for a giant basketball american?
Can we have a cancerous SPOT thread?
Like anything you've seen in real life that has made you stop and say what the fuck, leme get a picture of this.
To start, this was at my college and I want the owner to be publicly executed
At my college a kid drives an actual GT-R. It is his daily driver.
In New York. Where it does nothing but snow and rain. Where the average speed limit is 35 mph. Where the streets need to be repaved every year because there is nothing but pot holes and cracks in the pavement.
Sup /o/, starting a vinyl sticker cutting business soon and I'm looking for help on a name for it. I'm going to be offering a discount to everyone on /o/ if you're interested in that sort of thing. So, anyone have any suggestions?
inb4 "fuk off stickerfag" "how about shitratniggerstickers . com?"
What cars aren't Subaru but give a Subaru experience?
I'm in a country with lots of snow. I don't want a Subaru
AFAIK VW/Audi/BMW use some pretty good AWD systems. If I didn't go with subaru... well I did, and it rocks. But otherwise I'd get a VW
>jacking up car
>rotating top of jack that's holding the car breaks off
>car falls and the jack leaves a long deep gash up the door
Off to the body shop tomorrow. There goes $200-300
wtf happened to cars /o/?
>NASCAR Chassis is rwd
>production chassis is fwd
Where did you learn about cars /o/?
I live in rural IL and I bought a car with a manual transmission in Chicago as my first adult decision. I had no idea how to drive a manual so I learned in the middle of Chicago traffic. Then I got it home and as soon as I got into my neighborhood the fuel pump, mass airflow sensor, and starter motor simultaneously so I got to spend the weekend figuring out how to fix the thing.
The car gods slowly eased me into it by fucking shit up basically.
should I buy this 2000 BMW 528i for 3500$ tomorrow? fully loaded low miles
Recent, now Ex-gf just wreaked my 2015 Challenger. Mostly front end damage and the radiator, air bags deployed also. Insurance isn't going to cover the damage. Need advice from other mechanics on an appraisal for repair.
I'm paying out of pocket, so it's going to hurt, but I have a few grand saved up. How screwed am I /o/?
Pic related, it's my challenger.
More pics to better so how much damage.
Minimum HP that you'd recommend for a standard-transmission beginner?
There aint no minimum, fool.
The less power you have as a teenager the better, trust me.
Or maybe you're already grown up and learning manual? Still, a low powered car isn't going to cause any problems unless you're tyring to take off fast from the lights. Repeated hard launched WILL fuck up a clutch
I like honda civics but i hate front wheel drive
What are some substitutions
