Seen any wasted money recently /o/?
Looking for a new daily driver and i'm thinking Miata.
Don't carry around other people
Have a truck for towing/moving stuff
What year/model/trim is the best one for daily driving?
Nb. 99 to 05. Or 06 and newer if you have the money.
The only reason is for the higher suspension mounts for the nb which could be switched over to a NA 91-97 if you wanted to.
They really aren't too bad to DD. You don't worry about wear and tear because they are cheap and cheap to fix. Just don't expect to survive getting t-boned by a suv.
>Toyotas are the best, no other manufacturer can compete
Is the "you don't have to change your oil every 3000 miles" a truth, or just a meme?
You have people out there saying you don't have to change your oil until every 4000, 5000, or even 6000 miles, and the 3000 mile mark is just there to increase oil sales and raise mechanics' profits.
What does /o/ think about this?
My Focus has a 20000 km (12500 mile) oil change interval. Apparently this is perfectly normal here in Germany. It's mechanically the same car that's sold in the US.
Do we have better oil? Or just different user manuals?
that sounds about right for a new car here in the US. I know a lot of GM cars don't even specify a change interval and just say to use the "oil life meter" which usually ends up telling you to change it ~10k miles
the truth is that oil is just a lot better nowadays than it was even 15 years ago. The 3k oil change will die with the baby boomers. It's totally unnecessary
Can a 1999 corolla handle power gains on an auto?
I decided I want to make it a fun little canyon sleeper, but I don't know if I want to shell out and buy a used one with a manual.
What's the engine size Anon? Ex Toyota Technician here... Can't see why it'd be a problem...
Let's play a game.
>Go on craigslist
>search for cars
>max price as 1000
>fifth image you see that isn't an under priced car is your next project.
Mine has an engine at least.
Not too bad.
it's happening in my area br/o/'s
the cops are finally getting rid of all the crown vics.
I want one. I want to take an old police interceptor and turn it into the most ghetto, gangster ass lowrider for the lulz.
Any reliable hatchbacks less than 4 years old and under 16k? Looking for a Mazda3 and found this nignog/meme concoction for about 13.5k
Do you guys produce any stock car which is faster than the stock Nissan GTR on a track?
I am looking at buying a new car next month. I have a 350z Nismo, 3 240sx, a ek hatch with a built h22 to a b series tranny. I won't to step up my car game, I have spent the last 6 months building cars in my head. I have got the list down to a few and wanted some input, on ease of builds, how cool the car is, handling and "smiles per gallon", would like to end up in the 400ish hp range and a total of 25k spent for the car and mods
JDM as fuck, Parts are going to be horrible to get, I was thinking some upgraded turbos....

Looking into getting an american V8 with manual transmission, but I am having a hard time, since the 350s are all automatic..
So far one of the better manuals that I found was the C4 corvette.
You'll want to avoid 84-88 C4 Corvettes with factory manual transmissions. They were Doug Nash 4+4 so 4 speeds with a under/overdrive attachment. Not very reliable or easy to work on.
Why not buy the cheaper auto and swap in a manual? Pretty easy if at least some trim was offered with a manual. Or there are tons of kits that are mostly affordable. Then you can get a good transmission rather than OEM junk.
So my parents want me to get a 2011 Kia Rio from a dealership with 81,000 miles on it for $7,000 out the door.
That's literally all I have in savings, but they keep insisting it's such a great deal and that I can just build it back up, while I need to head to college soon and find a place to stay, laying for all of this on my own.
I already said no, but just curious on what /o/'s take on this is. Did I make the right decision? Am I not crazy for thinking $7,000 for a fucking Kia Rio is a little outrageous?
/o/ i just bought a 1999 honda accord and the first problem just aroused
Sometimes, seemingly random, the passenger and back windows will not roll down. not even click, but the drivers window will work. Then all of a sudden all 4 of them will work perfectly then back to the first stage. The lock switch on the drivers side to lock the passenger and rear windows doesnt seem to work at all
What could be the problem?
The first car on Mars will be a Tesla.
>hear you need oxygen to drive on mars now eh?
Looking at a DD, which one would you rec?
300ZX is 1996 non turbo
