Mustangs are the worst cars on the road.

Nobody thinks you're sick in a Mustang, everyone just thinks you're a faggot. Literally.

Red circles indicate areas where paint has been chewed off from debris on the road. Green indicates drips on the clear coat.

I hate this fucking car. Worst purchase of my life. I hate myself for it. I owned a VW before this and it was a million times better. Never buying GM again.

I've been seeing so much hype around these self-driving cars, mostly from politicians and auto companies and lobbyists but not many people actually want them.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-05-04/billions-are-being-invested-in-a-robot-that-americans-don-t-want
Yet governments and automakers and paid lobbyists keep pushing them on. Do we have to accept self-driving cars as an inevitability? The impetus to force self-driving cars on us is entirely market-driven. Large...

Self-driving cars will remove our freedom. Self-driving cars are not at all "autonomous." Self-driving cars are completely dependent on the data-assisted, "intelligent" traffic systems without which the users of self-driving cars cannot drive as much as a single meter. In such a scenario people will quickly lose their ability to drive manually, and that in itself will become an argument to forbid them to drive manually. People will become passive passengers totally dependent on the automatic...

I'm still skeptical on the whole "EV takeover" thing, but let's assume it does happen. How would this impact motorsports? Will the public react well to the lack of (most) sound? How much will electricity prices skyrocket?

I don't think that Motorsports will just roll over. Cars could be confined to certain areas maybe but I doubt a total recall would happen.

I'm not all too concerned. Despite what lobbyists and invested interest groups (and Teslafags) say, most outlooks on energy predict electric cars won't make too much of a dent. Even by 2040 they predict that EVs will make up only 1% of annual car sales and plug-in hybrids making up about 9%. However they do mention that conventional hybrids will make up around 40% and conventional fully-gas making up the rest. Plus pretty much every past prediction about electric cars from estimates on how well they'd...

unless you're an erratic fuck on the gas pedal. cruise isn't magic and gets midgets on unicorns to push your car. it maintains speed.

Yes but going 350miles while constantly +-3 mile difference is rather annoying and yes throughout the car's lifetime, I imagine roughly $300 will be saved.
>>
>>15987635
The difference is minute, but you will almost always see better gas mileage with cruise control than just using the pedal especially on longer trips.

I'll be visiting US and I'll rent a Mustang. I'd like to do some funny stuff with it but don't know what kinda place I could go.
For example: in my country, federal roads are usually less monitored by police, so I can speed up a little bit.
Back country roads usually have speed traps, not cops, that are easy to avoid but State roads are filled with cops and random speed traps.

In US there's a fuck ton of cops on the roads, do you guys have any tips?

Just googled and watched the trailer and basically its just futuristic racing like F-zero or something.

I've seen shows similar to this and have actually liked a few but that was based solely off the characters and the story itself the racing was just a "theme" and not the main focus of the show for me.

Seems kinda generic but i guess id have to watch at least one episode to see if there's anything besides just the racing itself to pull me in otherwise id get bored.
>>
>>15986990
Like most stuff like this, the racing is just a framing device. It's all about the team, the protagonist's hot french gf, etc. Which annoyed some people, IIRC. Still pretty cool.

The reason Initial D is like the /o/ bible is not only does it feature real cars and real driving techniques, it's now old enough that the cars in it are at the cheapest they'll ever be... or were 10 years ago.

The common problems are well documented with these cars. Mainly related to Nissan still plugging that stupid truck motor into fucking everything.

With lux brands, you buy the service history, not the "deal" that you are getting. An 09 is usually a two owner car where the first kept up on maint, and the second just took it to jiffy lube every 10k miles. If you have partial records even that this wasn't owned by a woman or a basketball american, it's probably going to be a solid car.

Hello, I have never ridden a motorcycle in my life, and am about to start taking lessons.

I was wondering which kind of motorcycles would be the most comfortable to go back and forth from work in nice weather?

I tried to do some research and they said touring motorcycles are a bit complicated for people new to motorcycles, but they seem the most comfortable.

are cruisers comfortable?

Also, it seems Kawasaki Vulcans and Nomads get good reviews and are allegedly comfortable. They seem low priced and highly respected from what reviews I have read. What are your thoughts?

if anyone has any recommendations, please let me know. I have a budget of 3-5k.

Cruisers are the most uncomfortable. You want something with a seating position that puts all the weight on your wrists and hunches you over.
>>
>>15986454
doesn't that seem like being hunched over would get really uncomfortable after a while?
>>
>>15986460
In my experience the upright cruiser position destroys my lower back from the straight up and down motion.

A super sport on the other hand is tyring on your inner thighs from constant braking down hill and stomach muscles from holding that position but it doesn't hurt my back since its at a enrgonomic angle and I get more buff from using my muscles.

124 KB,
I'm new to this whole Miata thing. They actually seem like really fun cars. I'm thinking about getting one, but which generation is the best? And by that I mean I'm not buying a new one.

My personal favourite is the nc miata. Probably the only one i'd drive if i could fit in one.

I think it could be the nc, since theres a 2.0 liter 160 hp version with LSD. I own one and I enjoy the car a lot, tons of fun and nice times, and it isnt slow as you can read in the internet.
The worst gen is the nb I think, very ugly, VERY slow, but it has a good chassis if you want to play with it specs.
