how do car loans work? Currently driving the car my pops gave me but I'm 22 and want something dope like challenger rt or mustang gt/cobra. My credit is good and make ~50k a year so what is the best way to go about getting low payments

Consider buying used and remember insurance is going to anal you. Most loans stipulate you need full coverage and a 22 year old in a v8 challenger r/t is going to have expensive premiums

That's not an nsx has nothing in common with the old one besides being MR Honda just decided to take a big fat load all over the name
>>
>>15885154
>>15885172

This just sounds like they are future proofing the platform. unlike the LFA the NSX isn't as expensive to manufacture and it will definitely be around for quite some time. that should give Honda some time to fine-tune everything making it faster. If the car really is like Windows technology-wise they should be updating it all the time until its fast as fuck. this NSX is probably much faster in its time than the last NSX was in its own time in the 90s.

It's overpriced and pretty boring desu.. they basically made a slower 918/mp4.

The original nsx was unbelievable at the time because it delivered a faster car then most at the time and it was at an achievable price.

The new nsx isn't delivering anything we havnt already seen and they're charging alot for them.
>>
>>15885140
People are bitching because it isn't exactly like the original. They need to take their rose-tinted glasses off and actually drive the NSX, both of them

Also the GTR and laptimes ruined supercars

Wait for the Craftsman sales to pop up and grab one of their $350 kits for $150.

Otherwise Huskey, Stanley, any of the popular shit with a good warranty that isn't dirt cheap will work.

Somebody will mention Harbor Frieght, but some of their stuff works fine while others is garbage. Their kits normally come with extra shitty ratchets so I wouldn't even waste the time. Plus if you catch a good sale at Sears, the Craftsman kits will be about the same price as HF shit.

Who here owns a high learning curve car?

I have over 12 thousand miles on my pony car and the clutch is the most difficult part to master. It's my first manual car but the clutch engagement is so short and needs such precise and consistent foot movement. Let go of it a millisecond too fast and oops the car jolts. Let go off it a millisecond too slow and oops you've worn the clutch plate down from slipping too much.

Also you need to memorize a chart of speed versus rpm at any given gear for that smooth rev matching.

Still better than an auto because...

Where my serious mechanic br/o/s at? This is a long question but I'm only asking because google didn't tell me what I want to know.

I'm rebuilding the Ford 8.8 axle under my Wrangler after a catastrophic carrier failure. Basically I removed a lot of the carrier from the housing with a magnet. I'm replacing everything in it and got the new bearing races tapped in a while ago. I took the old pinion bearings and used a sanding drum on a Dremel to open up the I.D. so they'll slide on and off the pinion instead of pressing on, thus I can take them...

What I've run into is this.. I've got run-out in the pinion head. I have no idea if this is normal or acceptable and don't know whether I should proceed. I gently cleaned up the face of the pinion head with ultra fine sandpaper to make sure there were no high spots before putting it in. I placed the tool up tight against the face and began to take the measurements. I rotated the head numerous times and measured to make sure it was the same every time, what I found was that the measurements varied by at least .030"
I repeated this several times to make sure and got the same result each time. In an attempt to see the run-out, I backed the nut off just enough to let the gear spin freely and then spun it by hand as fast as I could. Based on the shiny face, I could see a bit of side to side movement at the tips of the teeth, but don't see it anywhere but the face. It's almost as if the whole gear runs true but the face is not perfectly perpendicular. If that were the case it wouldn't have any effect on the performance of the gears.

Basically my question is this. Should this be considered a big red flag that indicates a possible problem with the gears? If not is there another way to easily determine the pinion depth, possibly based on the old gear? It was a different brand but had a .030" shim on it. If that won't work, do I just bite the bullet and move on with the install to the point where I can use marking compound to check the pattern and determine if the depth needs adjusted from there?

240 KB,
What do y'all think of deep cherry red? I'm looking at a Jeep Cherokee in this shade and I think I've got a pretty neat deal lined up, just wanna know what others think of this color? I personally like it a lot, just curious on others' opinions. Thoughts?

Have you driven one?

Why are 2002ish eclipse GT so cheap? Is there something wrong with the cars themselves or a major component that fails?

I love the look and the cheap prices interest me.

If you like the way they look you have far bigger problems than buying an early 2000s mitsu.

TFW never saw any girl driving one.

State:

1. How long you've been driving

2. How many accidents you've been in
(a) what happened in that accident

3. How many tickets you've gotten
(a) tickets for what

4. What cars youve owned throughout your driving history

16 years for cars and 20 for bikes.

2 accidents. Hydroplaned when I was 16 in a prelude and clipped a guard rail on a bridge. Second one was a year ago, some lady SLAMMED on her brakes in front of my loaded down work truck. I slammed on mine but the little car stopped WAY faster than the work truck. Not bad, but fucked up my bumper.

tickets: god, 20?

About 40 so far and 6 or 7 motorcycles. Not including the shop cars me and my partner have owned.

Driving 4 years

No accidents

1 ticket from a fucking stupid cop having a slow day. I've parked on this same spot near my home with no problems for 4 years, until this fucked cop comes and says I was parked 7 feet from a fire hydrant (must be 15 feet). 150 dollar ticket.

Owned a 2012 altima, now a 2016 Hyundai Sonata hybrid se

About that second accident... What did insurance say about that? Just curious. Did your rate go up?

Its always the case with insurance companies that if you hit anyone from the back you're always at fault no matter what.
