What is the best car from the 90s?
Daily reminder that Right hand drive is better than Left hand drive
Which of these cars should I buy as my DD (it will be driven 80% of the time with my old 1991 toyota pickup being the other)
>New 2017/18 Honda Civic Type R
>1999-2004 Porsche 996 (50-100k miles)
>2004-2009 Porsche Cayman S (30-60k miles)
Plan on keeping the car for at least 5 years, probably longer if I get the Civic, although the civic will cost more than the other 2 by around 10k
The new Civic will cost you the most to own due to depreciation.
The 996 is at the bottom of the depreciation curve so it could cost you the least to own if you avoid any major repairs.
The Cayman will be more fun to drive than either.
I have an old 58 Volkswagen dune buggy. Any idea of what these 2 silver bars next to parking break do? Are they necessary or can I remove them?
I need help breaking Windshields.
Hey /o/, Im getting a motorcycle soon and I want to be able to fuck with other people on the road because I dont care if I die.
Im thinking a bunch of broken ceramic from old spark plugs to throw at car windshields.
Any other ideas?
>Inb4 edgy faggot kill yourself if you fuck with my car youre dead
Normies need not apply to this thread.
My idle speed was at around 800-900 rpm stock and the engine would die upon warmup. Even giving it gas would kill the engine after I take my foot off the pedal. So right now temporarily, I upped the rpm to 1500 on idle. Now what maybe causing the truck to stall is a vacuum leak. So here are my guesses on what could be causing it.
1. The EGR Valve is staying open when it should be closed.
2. The hole with the float needle is gummed up.
3. A hose or more has tears in it.
Also to boot, when the ignition is on, the anti dieseling solenoid won't click. What's...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Also forgot to mention that I keep hearing this clicking sound from behind the dash on the drivers side of the truck and no it does not have ac nor is it the fuel pump relay since that's located on the passengers side. What is causing that clicking sound?
I want to participate in rallycross and I want to do it with a V8, preferably 'Murican.
What are your suggestions?
Literally everything wrong with automobiles today can be blamed on California.
>Fucking nanny state commifornia passes law saying doors have to automatically lock themselves when the car starts moving because californians are retarded.
>Car manufacturers arent going to make a separate car for California so the car that is sold everywhere in the US gets auto locking car doors.
>rinse and repeat for always on headlights, windows that dont roll down all the way, etc.
Should it be made legal to smash the windows of a car with this on the front? What kind of person would put something like this on their car and drive it in public?
Hell, is it even legal to begin with?
I seriously hope that's not what you consider extreme in terms of sexual content. There's not even anything illegal about it.
Go on Highway 95 on a 10 hour road trip to no where. Promise you you'll find at minimum 1 person with playboy models at every angle vinyld on there. Not that a normal person would care.
So I'm moving back to my home state of Florida next year, and I'll probably be living in one of the shittier areas. Has anyone bought an aftermarket anti-theft system, or even just a decent car alarm? I have a Town Car and a 1980 CB750, if that helps.
I just was at pick n pull for 8 hours trying to find a radio.
Will this somehow connect to the wires in my 05 sunfire?
I can't find a wiring harness for it.
If I yanked the harness out of the car I got it from would it still work? Would all the colors match up?
This is my cars wiring thingy
It's smaller than the radio I bought.
Aftermarket -> OEM = OK
Brand 1 OEM -> Brand 2 OEM = No
A lot of OEM radios have some car functionality running through them, among other things. Not to mention the DIN sizes aren't normally 100% standard.
>Go to mall
>Go into parking structure
>Drive around each level in search of holy grail safe parking spot
>passing several open spots but to packed in
>10 minutes go by
>Dont find a safe one
>Abandon mission and go home
>hotbox a car with cigarettes.
>cars will continue to become more like computers and less like actual cars.
I want to tell myself this isn't going to be true, but deep down I know it is.
>pushrod engine building will soon die, and the last high revving 350 engine will run out of methanol
Do you use throttle steering when driving normally?
>Do you use throttle steering when driving normally?
No I have a shitbox, so i use steering wheel steering.
Houstonfags, why is this a thing?

>Serious Inquires Only
Memes you fell for /o/?
Did anyone here buy it?
Did you like it?
Will it ever get collector's attention due to short lifespan?
Remember that time when International made a pick-up truck?
>Along with the Scout SUV, which I believe was the first American suv
hope this is bait but knowing /o/ it probably isn't
>Tfw coworker has one of these
It's Bretty cool desu. Not to mention they make f750 trucks.
Do Mustangs make good daily drivers? Actually thinking about a V6 model until my premiums drop, then switching to a V8. A vert sounds like lots of fun too.
>winter is about to start
>all the worried mustang threads
OP, Mustangs are fine DD's if you have throttle control. If you don't you'll be drinking gas like a Kuwaiti hooker circa 2003.
Respectable enough, I can understand wanting a vert and just that.
Do remember, winter -is- coming.
That means two things - first that convertibles will drop in price (they'll increase when it gets warmer as it becomes convertible season).
Second is that unless you live in fucking paradise you -will- need to take precautions before throwing it out on the ice.
Hopefully you have a beater to last you this winter. If you don't think very carefully on how much you'd save for a winter vert compared to how much you'd spend if you fuck it up (or someone else does).
Decide if you want to get it before or after winter.
Those are way out of OP price range.
Don't get a v6, it's financially sound to wait for a V8 model. Verts don't handle as well as the hardtop but if you like it it's not the worst thing.
Ayy. Looking for vehicle recommendations to deliver mail in. Live in Wisconsin so need to deal with snow. Currently have Honda CR-V but driving from passenger seat is killing my back. Other carriers have RHD Jeep Wranglers but I haven't heard good things about reliability and ass for gas mileage (500+ stops on my route, 100 miles of stop and go)
Is importing a car an actual possibility?
Needs: RHD and tons of room decent mileage and reliability under 10k, or the above left hand drive with bench seat and column shifter.
People that own chevys probably fuck their cousin
>inb4 ford fag/Chrysler cuck
About to buy. Any heads up?
Its only 1k plus 200 registration
>dropped out of Le Mans in 1973
>cant win formula 1 anymore
>wont join WEC
>cant win in GT racing
>FXX, 599XX, FXXK arent allowed in any racing series
what the fuck happened?
