Wanting to get an older 3series (03-07) as a daily driver I understand that the matinence is a bit more on BMW's but I can do some work on the car myself . what I am asking is it really worth my money and time getting one?
Planning on getting a high mileage 150k e39 540i/6 as winter beater, how stupid am I? No problem working on the car myself but.....its a 13 14 year old car after all.
Why? unless you drive in a area that gets no snow, its like the worst possible choice you could get.
Also seeing as how good condition 540i's are still 7-8k+ there are much better choices out there.
What would be the car with the richest racing history you can buy with $30k? Needs to be the exact same generation as said history..
In burger land.
So i've just got my red p plates in Australia, which means I can now drive by my self but alas I don't have a car and so i'm asking for your guy's and girl's help for some input on a good first car >5k
I will be soon driving a car and I don't want to be that noob that doesn't know what he's doing.
Is there a site/community that talks about the part of cars and its functions?
Yeah it's called /o/. Hang around here for a few months, you will be an expert on everything automotive. We're very friendly and accepting of new people, especially those with obscure tastes and learning disabilities. Lots of our users have autism, down syndrome, or like anime, so we're accustomed to those with mental disabilities.
Cheap car, just need for a DD. Is this rust fixable? I feel like a wire brush will just destroy it.
Will I be able to drive a manual car with a bum left leg and pretty substantial Rheumatoid Arthritis in my right hand?
I was wondering if it'd be worth it to get a manual or just keep the current autotragic Corolla?
I'm a bit worried about fucking up a transmission during a test drive.
If it makes any difference, it's already fairly painful to go from park to drive in my current car, I wouldn't know how it'd be constantly shifting in an urban setting.
If any of you want to go see some exotics tomorrow morning, the 1 year anniversary of the DC Exotics event. There will be many Lamborghini's, I now for a fact a orange McLaren P1 freshly imported, and much much more. It starts at 11, and I will be posting iPhuck pictures when I get back.
Thoughts on the 3G Eclipse?
Considering getting the one one of my managers are selling.
It's a FWD shitbox.
Expect most of them to be maintained like shit because "sports" car.
Not fast enough to be good, not good looking enough to be good, it isn't a good platform, and you can find better cars for the price.
Whats /o/ opinion on the 300zx? thinking of getting one, is it good for daily rides?
>Cadillac (and other american "luxury" brands) honestly think they can compete with the germans.
Hey /o/! I recently bought my first car, it's a shitty 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix. What can I do to make it run better / faster? I know almost nothing about cars, but I would like to learn.
hot air intake keeps the engine at an optimal temperature warmer than stock for maximum efficiency
buying bigger springs makes the ride smoother so more power actually gets to the wheels
