Why aren't you an automotive journalist?
>Literally get paid to drive cars
>Actually get to formulate real opinions on every car instead of benchracing all day
>All you have to do is write
Seems like the perfect job for you guys. Why aren't any of you doing it?
2016 Honda Civic Coupe
Did you like it?
>buy sports car
>can't even use 10% of its true potential
This is why
>corolla master race
I can't be the only one, right?
Jelly non-Ford owners?
I was at the dealership today and thought about how awesome it would be for a car that was actually small again. Like ford NA miata or something. It would be like a Fiesta coupe or something and use the ecoboost 4 cylinder. It'd be small and swift, but not chipping at Mustang sales with an intro price of $14k
The hell am I shilling?
I asked about a nonexistent car and if it will ever exist.
I posted a picture of an existing Ford vehicle because the vehicle I posted about, once again, does not exist.
>ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford
Guys I'm not shilling I swear
>ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford ford
>No 250+ horsepower limited sports edition
>Not even GT300 base model on production scale
How did Toyota dropped the ball so much with this one. They basically made the MR Miata.
And how is that a bad thing? The only ball they dropped was never building a 2ZZ version. Then again maybe it was for the better because it would've had to compete with the superior Elise otherwise.
meh, not every car needs to be a world beater. Sometimes it's cool just to have a light weight, mid-engined convertible for cheap. Want something better? Buy a boxter. It's stupid that people think every car needs to lap the hamburger in sub 8 seconds.
Hey /o/. I want to see if there is interest in making a design group here for CAD and stuff that is automotive related. I use Google Sketchup to design parts for my car that I then 3D print and I was wondering how many of you do the same.
I made a Google Drive for us thats open to those with the link. No mischief please.
I already have a rough deisgn of a 2 cylinder boxer engine I might possibly make in the future to use in a motorcycle or something.
I.. Design robots.
Let me know if you guys need turret or retracting weapon systems on your vehicles I guess..
I was thinking of a thing, want to hear your opinion.
Is the top speed that a car can reach an indicator of the status of the engine?
Let me give you some details.
Let's say that a car, for example, is rated at 130 mph top speed by it's manufacturer, brand new.
So, if someone buy an used car, properly serviced and in very nice conditions, warm up the engine and do a full speed run, and the car reaches and/or exceede the rated top speed (given by GPS, not the on board speedo), can someone say that the car still produces the...

Some cars, if made brand new today, would be able to even exceed that due to the better road standard and much better tires we have today
But yes, I don't see anything wrong with the idea, and if a car reaches the same speed it did back in the day today then it will have the same amount of horsies
>Lamborghini revealed a new rear-wheel-drive version of the Huracan
>33kg lighter than 4WD model
>Engine power reduced to 580hp
>0-100km/h in 3.4 seconds

pretty based, lambo
Sup fags, just picked up an 82 Corolla SR5 for 2200 USD.
Its an A/T, im keeping it that way, and the 1.8l 3TC has aftermarket headers and exhaust system.
Its a little rough around the edges but the engine runs perfectly and doesnt leak a drop.
Old owner threw in a replacement fender, inner fender plastic, replacement grill, and corner marker.
Plans are to restore it back to original condition, which is 90% there, and DD it.
Need to repaint the fender/hood, clean and polish the OEM wheels, redo some of the interior, and remove the headers/exhaust.

Pics arent great cause i took them last night, its in decent shape.
Another 1-2k and itll be good to go.
Also the only rust it has is around where the trunk locking mechanism is.
The fender is the only fucked up thing, i have a replacement.
Also i bought an A/T on purpose because i spend 3 hours in rush-hour traffic every afternoon, cant be fucked to shift.
And "doesnt leak a drop", i went over the engine like 5 times and its so fucking clean.
I'm currently being bemused by how easy these terrible to get to plugs are to get to.
>but intake parts have to come out!
Tight. Dry thread so no wonder.
Looks charred but okay to me.
ITT we ask petrolnerds for identification of things car-related.
So what are these wheels? They look OEM, but can anyone tell me the maker?
Usually says on the inside of the wheel
If it says nothing on the inside of the wheel; no name chinese copy
Mhm, a good way to inspect it for wear and damage before putting them away for the winter
I miss back when you could have a single car with every possible engine configuration in the same chasis. Even the choice between straight 6 and V6.
These days you have the choice between a couple of I4 gasoline and diesel and sometimes a "high powered" V6
You could afford to think with your heart back then
