I've been offered a 5000 gallon tank of JP-8 jet fuel for free (the fuel, not the tank itself) with the only condition being that I take it away and store it myself. It's "contaminated," that is it's the test fuel bled from aircraft to check for water in the fuel, etc. No actual contamination besides that and maybe some sediment in the tank.
Is it safe to run a modern car diesel engine on it?
It might run fine in the shitbox for the couple of days I test it, then six months later I find out it's destroyed the internals of my daily drive.
It's a $60000 car, I don't want to fuck it up. I'm getting some mixed answers off Google, some seem to say yes, others say no.
Need some help from the experts, /o/. Free fuel for the next decade would be pretty fucking sweet if it's not going to cost me that much in repairs because of it.
Passenger stories thread.

>Very poorly lit, assume it is a minor curve, turns out to be circular and fairly sharp.
>Take it too quickly, but know that everything will be fine, as I know how my car handles.
>Allow speed to bleed off rather than making sharper turn at speed.

>Say it wasn't acceptable to grab steering wheel, I was still under control of my vehicle, and I know what it can do.
>Tell friend who grabbed wheel to sit in back and switch places with other friend.
Best handling car you could buy at the time.
it is the cheapest and lightest vehicle capable of exceeding 80 mph currently on the market
The reason cars have become shit is because women were allowed to drive. Prove me wrong.
I agree with you. Women often vote for more safety measures, more restrictions, etc. They are a large consumer base and drive trends like Le angry car face.
They ruin pretty much everything. Cars, nations, whatever.
Actually, I really can't. All this dumb, superfluous shit in modern cars caters pretty much to
b) People who don't like driving (Women)
c) People who don't like simplicity (Women)
d) People who don't understand cars (Women)
Anyone here ever own a ford? can we talk about how shitty ford is? What car/truck did you own? What was your experience with your ford? When did your shitbox die?
If Initial D took place in 2016 America takumi would drive a Dodge Neon SRT 4
Us version of dagumi would be a pizza delivery boy of his parents or fathers pizza shop
he can deliver anywhere in the large county in under 30 mins or less but the county is a bunch of mountain roads in the middle of nowhere
he borrows his dads ecoboost mustang :^) to deliver pizzas
Do you check over your shoulder when switching lanes?
Guilty pleasures ?
ITT: Cars you dislike but you want one anyway
I want to trash it until it doesnt run anymore
its so ugly I could never like it
>wanting something you dislike
I can't say I hate them but it has 3 glaring flaws
1. It's a reasonably fast sports car that's convertible only; we're past the roadster thing with the S2K.
3. The god awful fanbase
>belt-driven cam timing
I am going to get my first car and am leaning toward any of these cars. I'm thinking manual BRZ Limited 2013 or FRS equivalent. Discuss/Tell me why they suck
Your first car is a learning experience you'll look back on and say "wow, I wish I had known _____ and _______ and _____. Personally I'd feel bad about subjecting a newer car to the mistakes most new drivers are going to make. I'd save money and buy something cheaper instead.
Is the self-driving car market comprised mostly of young adults who grew up with minivan dvd players as their babysitter?
not a complete car noob, still dont know everything, im about to ask a VERY stupid question
My car has an intermittent problem where it will start sometimes, and it is most likely a bad starter
i got hit with the "car on, but no start yesterday"
My Question: is it possible to jumpstart my car and have it start anyway, if my car turns on, but doesnt start?
was that justva dumb question?
>pic related my car
The second part of your quesiton is worded in a very odd manner, however; if I had to try and decypher.
Yes, it's possible for your car to turn 'on'(Accessory) and not 'start' (ignition). If it sometimes does this, but otherwise runs fine, then probably points to the starter motor. First, however; I'd just check your battery. Get a multi-meter, stick it to your battery, if it's reading lower than 11.9v-12.4v then your battery could very well be the issue.
So, check battery then starter.
OP here, tested the battery before, i was still at 70 something percent still, thats why im not sure
cant currently go anywhere, trapped at friends house because it wouldnt start, might have to get it towed if anything
So a pair of Mexicans have been rummaging through my girlfriend's miata.
We live in an apartment complex, no garage. Her brother caught them fucking with the car, and they ran off. This is the third time. They first stole the radio, and for whatever reason brought it back the next night. Today, in broad daylight, they had the hood open before running away. My primary concern is that they may start fucking with the engine.
What is the best option? I've heard miatas have issues with alarms draining batteries, but aside from staking the car out with a few...
