/o/ please help me. I need a car, these are my conditions. The sticky cars would all fall under #11, and I want a discussion.
3. 4-Doors preferably.
4. 0-60 in 6 seconds or less.
5. Manual transmission.
6. Decent insurance.
7. Can add a few bolt ons in the future.
9. The big problem... under $5k.
10. Decent looks, but not really important.
11. Not twice the value of the car to maintain.
Thank you <3
What's the greates car one can get?
Price must be under 10'000 bucks and the car has to be fun to drive drive, no estetic preferration
What do y'all think about this beauty, it's a bit prolly though
Anyone go from a sports/sporty car to a SUV or truck and not regret it? Thinking about making this move.
I rekt my knee a few years ago, so manual and low sitting don't work to well for me.
The first car I learned to drive on was a dodge caliber, then I went to a Hummer H2. That was a struggle, but I felt more confident behind the wheels of smaller cars.
Now I've got an older yukon XL (from a grand prix) and it's easy to drive around town.
Good luck with your purchase, OP.
Is owning a Mercedes any cheaper than owning a BMW is the latter easier to DIY anybody have any personal experiences with ether brand?
Everyone has questions, o has better tailored answers than fishing on google (usually).
What are the pros and con on coming to a stop and leaving the car in 1st gear vs neutral?
What type of car is this /o/?
Lets see who here daily drives the oldest car out of us all. And how is it? Are you often met with some problems because of age? Do you get some attention from other drivers/people on the road?
heres my e30 325e 1986 (30 yrs). driving in a city, and 500 miles trips, pretty much failed me just once and it got fixed on the road
not me but I see a guy on campus who drives a black 1951 plymouth every single day to class. Pretty cool if you ask me.
I also have an E30 but mine is an 89. Only problem I have is I feel a lot slower. I've already gone and replaced nearly every rubber or plastic that would fail. I've been waved to a few times, but not much
There are several people at my school who have 70s land barges and muscle cars. They're all in fairly nice condition.
Planning on tuning the shit out of a sixth generation Honda Civic EX with a friend for the keks. His family owns a shop so I have access to everything that I need, but not entirely sure what engine I want to put into it. I have thought about both the G23 "Frankenstein" and a K but I want the most horses possible in a civic. Willing to do frequent maintenance and some machining if needed, I enjoy fucking around in a shop, which is why I am leaning towards the G23 right now.
I suggest you to sperg less about the engine and just throw a turbo on it to be done with it, and instead focus your efforts on cutting a tunnel into the body to fit a CRV drivetrain for 4WD.
Hey /o/, the turnsignals in grandfathers 67 Mustang don't work, at all. For comparison, all six bulbs work (extra set of tail lights as pic shows). Brake lights work, running lights work, 4-way hazards work. But the turn signal? Nothing happens. We replaced the flasher (both old and new ones a heavy duty one due to extra tail lights) But it did not help. (Signals DID workn at one point but not any more). All 5 fuses are good.
At this point I am certain that it's the turn signal switch in the steering wheel, but is there any chance it's something else before...

Have you seen these in your area? Here in CA these fuckers are everywhere, they go through the neighborhood every month checking on people's cars to see if they're registered or not. They actually towed one of my cars in front of my house last year, and they're even more active recently.
In my town they have a guy in a tacoma.
I've had to chase him off my property more than once, as he doesn't seem to understand the concept of private property and that he legally can't have the truck i've got on a tractor stand towed even if the registration expired two years ago.
... Cars have to be registered to sit on your driveway? What?
Also, what is the law about "plain sight" and being able to trespass when there is a crime in progress? Don't know if the meter maids have that sort of power but maybe.
What are some cool looking body kits for my S2000 that won't slay my wallet? Pic is not mine.
This fucker sat at the goddamn post office for 3 weeks, no notifications, no delivery attempts, nothing.
Anyway, guess the part
How would a 19-year old who lives with his mom, go from sitting in his room to learning to drive a race car?
Get a descent racing wheel and buy Asseto Corsa
When did the GTI start to become shit?
