There's a truck like this for sale locally.
I'm thinking of buying it.
It runs, drives and stops rather well and is currently driven daily.
It needs some body work and the paint and interior have seen better days.
I don't have my own car right now so it will be my only vehicle.
I don't really have a need for it either. I just like it.
Can someone explain how the driveshafts of these "bendy buses" work ( I call them accordion buses but fine)
Is there some sort of a ball-joint between the 2 driveshafts or something ?
Getting a car. Want to get one used under $10k with low miles.
Here are some options I'm looking at.
2011 Saab 9-5
2000-2009 Saab 9-5 Aero
2000-2009 Saab 9-3 Aero Wagon
2004-2006 VW Phaeton V8
1997-2003 BMW 540i with the M-Sport package
Concerns are gas milage, reliability and maintenance cost.
>search every car rental place in all of virginia
>not a single one of them has a manual transmission car in their fleet
i'll never learn stick
hello /o/ my friend has a 4th gen vw jetta
<pic of it
turboed, cat delete, cold air, finely tuned, and custom fuel delivery. all of that was done by the previous owner.
the first thing he does when he gets it, he slams it.
should i be mad?
Why does anyone care what anyone else does with their car?
Been trying to sell my Jeep for the past couple of weeks, only two callers and both of them stopped responding.
Why is it so hard? Is it because it's a manual?
>Is it because it's a manual?
Actually yea probably.
I was talking to a mechanic, he was trying to sell a car. It was aesthetically pretty good for a 13 year old car and the internal components were all in top working order. He was selling it for dirt cheap, like 1500 below KBB. I was confused as to why he hadn't sold it yet.
>People are really intent on getting it because it's so cheap. But once they learn it's manual...

How come Fiat managed to make one car the best looking and best sounding car ever made? Isn't it a bit unfair to other manufacturers?
Say reliability, performance, and brand didn't matter, what car would you buy based solely on how it looks?
Pic rekated. Mmmmmmf
NSX of course. If I had to choose a car I have to have sex with, it'd definitely be first gen NSX.
First that comes to mind,
but basically everything * Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Fiat ever put out.
Would you drive Hummer H1? I think it's kinda cool, but honestly it might be one of the few cars (along with ridiculous lifted trucks) I'd be too ashamed to drive, just because the level of douchebagginess associated with it.
I feel the same, but I'd choose this instead because special snowflake
>the level of douchebagginess associated with it
That entire association is just normies that pretend to be enthusiasts.
Most normies don't make that association and nor do real enthusiasts.
Hell yes I'd drive one.
Is this a godmachine?
Only a complete cuck would drive one of those.
It's driven by people who have no knowledge of cars, and have no interest in cars.
A bland boring shitbox, designed purely to go from A to B, with no fun, involvement or excitement.
WTF IS WITH THESE UNREALISTIC STANDARDS???
Ok guys, I am in a position of starting my own company for retailing tons of car and tuck upgrade parts and accessories. Having signed on with a distributor, I now retail over 500 major name companies for carstuff. However, I cant come up with a name.
Being this company is a subsidiary of another umbrella company, it has to include the name in the title.
Lets call the company "Jackson Inc"
So I need to name my branch something like
"Jackson Auto Performance" or something to the effect of. I dont plan on offering any installation, just selling...

I have CRX for 7 years now and recently WRX wagon and I wanted to keep CRX with its B16 as a fun to drive weekend car, turbo it and stuff to make it quicker. But it is already at the limit of traction and FWD means no fun in corners, ploughs straight when I floor it mid corner. Also its 26 years old and kinda stock-ish condition, it would be shame to ruin a youngtimer. Also: WRX despite faster and 4x4 is boring to drive, quiet, comfortable, has turbo-lag and you feel 150kph like 80kph in CRX. So idea is: Sell CRX and get something nimble and RWD. Price range up to 10k Euro. Any ideas? I was thinking S2000, but it is only hair faster than CRX. Miata is even slower :) 200SX is very close in performance... M3 is fast but kinda heavy and not very sporty... Any suggestions?
Last time I've checked M3's were starting around 10k for some less loved ones. It doesn't have to be pretty, it must be fun to drive. My WRX has like every body part with some dent or scratch :)
I was thinking STI when buying WRX. Too similar and still AWD. Also they are like twice as expensive to keep over WRX and working on WRX aint't cheap.. Or easy as it is boxer and even spark plugs need some disassembly to access...
MR2... I'll take a look.
>slap a turbo on your V6
>call it Ecoboost
Why is this allowed?
why do they even sell a mustang with a turbo v4 when na is superior to turbos and on top of that the v4 is more , less reliable and doesn't really get good fuel economy. Its good for yuropoors
Is the Si worth a damn?
200hp and sub 3000 pounds seems like a decent package to me for the pricepoint.
Any other n/a coupes out there that aren't a nissan or american muscle?
Looking for some good resources to begin learning about the inner workings and mechanics of a car before i go out and start taking mine apart..
What do you think are the best resources /o/?
Forum DIY posts are usually the best way to get started. However... even if you follow DIYs step by step, you're going to break things, misplace parts, and possibly fuck something up. There's no substitution for understanding what you're doing. And the only way to learn that, is by doing it. Just expect to make mistakes, but don't let them get to you, keep on going. We all start somewhere.
Your picture is of a watch escapement...
The right brace on the driver's seat in my pic related snapped and I need a new one.
Googling "1994 Honda Civic car seats" leads nowbere.
Where buy seats?
Does VW's emissions thing involve the 2016 Golf at all?
Should I buy one?
Also, 80's beauts
/o/ , what color should I repaint my 04 Mustang?
start by sandblasting it to reveal any rust or imperfections, then paint it with a tasteful 2-tone paint job, I was thinking maybe silver with another color.
Talk my friend out of using one of these
what does the 'AWC' mean?
is it like traction control?
i can't spin my front tires on my fwd and i think that might me the reason.
>his car has plastic in its interior
Hello fellow bongs and bongos.

Hi guys, i need your advice. My car came from the factory with an open differential and I recently came upon a deal to install a used after market lsd.
I've used the car in the winter a few times and I never really had any trouble, but if an lsd can help increase traction it would give me a better piece of mind. I always use winter tires but I don't mind going the extra mile.
Pic related, car is a bmw 335i.
Have you driven a LSD car?
non LSD feels like you are driving on ice grip wise.
You literally have double the grip because both wheels drive the car instead of just one at a time allowing you to hoon better
Thanks for living up to the stereotype
Ive got one in my ranger and it makes it a lot more fun. Also had one in my m3, i couldnt imagine driving around without one.
Dont know how different it would be in a fwd but should be similiar in any case. Youre bmw is rwd though so you should get one
will i look like a fag if i drive an "eco" car?
What can be expected of Dacia?
Genie grants you one car that runs on nothing and fixes itself every night as long as you can drive it back to your garage.
what car would you pick?
The car that started a revolution, and described by many as the first modern all electric sports car, even if it was FWD.
>Car has 80k miles.
>Never has had a transmission fluid change
>Almost never driven hard
>Driving is 90% on the city
Do I need a transmission fluid change?
Is it something I can realistically do in my driveway?
Sorta kinda depends. What are you driving? What kind of transmission does it have? Some can drain all the fluid out, some have to drain maybe half the fluid and then be topped off before driving a bit and then repeating until it's all nice and clean.
Whatcha drivin', OP?
My advice is not to flush any old ATF because the transmission may eat itself without the pieces of clutch in the fluid, if you're out of schedule with the OEM dates.
If you're barely out, go ahead.
If you're way out of schedule to be changing it, don't fuck with it.
Tomorrow after work I'm going to the Honda dealership and buying pic related.
How badly am I fucking up?
Lets do this, go on craigslist and bring back some shit.
I feel like this post is someone here. 10/10
