What do you think of Nissan Armadas?
I have a 2003 Durango that I've driven about as much as I'd like to and I keep seeing decent deals on used Nissans....I have a family so I need some space.
Thoughts on these?
picking up my 2015 f150 tomorrow.
is the rust protection spray worth the $600, or should i just spray it with oil like everyone else?
Just spray it with oil.
The rust protection stuff (especially at $600) is probably a rubberized sort of undercoating, like a spray in bedliner. Those types of undercoating are notoriously terrible, mostly because eventually the rubber will get punctured by a rock or something and water will get trapped between the rubber and the metal, rusting the metal out even faster than if you hadn't gotten the undercoating at all.
Oil undercoating is good mostly because it can't do that - if a rock...

I'm going to bethel, Alaska in 2 months. I was told they get a lot of snow. I'm driving as I'll need a car for 8 months there for work. I'm still undecided if I should bring my wife's car, a 2013 Audi A4 Quattro Or my winter car, a 2000 5.0 4x4 explorer. The Audi has all season tires and is newer, but the explorer is higher off the ground with MT tires. It's reliable but high miles, the Audi only has 30k
Which one should I bring?
Guy is selling this 3000GT on CL for $1200. Says that the transmission won't stay in drive and will stall out after about 10 feet, and needs new tires. Thinking about picking it up, worth it for the price? pic related
Bring back pop-up headlights
What are you fags working on?
I was at a pretty rough state with the javy.
Protip guys, don't sand an engine bay right before winter so when you get done, it's too cold to paint and then let it sit outside all year in frustration.
So since I don't learn from my mistakes this is attempt #2.
got lucky as their was literally no rust in the fender trusset area.
I give up /o/ I'm looking to buy my first car, have about £6,000, I just can't anything I like.
I need ideas.
Ford Fiesta's your best bet. Just buy a car outright for 3-4K, and spend the rest on insurance and fixing it.
You won't find a used car that doesn't need four new tires within three months. And it'll probably need some more work down the line.
A Fiesta is a fine car. Goes well, handles great, carries a surprising amount of stuff. It'll give you an idea of what you want in a car.
original BL Mini
toss in a 1350 engine
LMB exhaust with a cherry bomb
add a 5th gear convertion
glass fibre front end
internal roll cage
paddy hopkins pedals
38mm weber carb
interior trim from a riley or wolsley(yes repros are available)
high back seats with headrests
and a haynes manual
get it insured through Footman James as vintage/collectible
Pick up a small hatchback with a 1.4 or less in solid condition for £1500 or so. Run it for a year or so and build up a no claims, THEN buy something decent.
As a Brit new driver, £6000 won't get you into anything good; spending more will only get you into something slightly less bad than average, like a 1.6 Civic or some shit. You're much better saving your money and buying a proper car later.
>cleaned out trunk
>topped off power steering fluid
>topped off tire pressure
>ran a can of seafoam through
Let's see those weekend maintenance accomplishments. If you haven't done anything to your ride this weekend, go do something now and report back.
>FRS shows up at the drag strip
I don't see the problem with someone wanting to better his launch skills or see how his latest tune or whatever affected his E.T.
Are you under the impression only purpose-built cars should show up or something?
So, guys what would be the best way to damage a car without it being apparent that someone did it and to the point that the car is basically a write off. So, please without suggestions like set it on fire, smash it with a baseball bat etc.
The reason for me wanting to know this is personal.
Does anyone know what this is called? It's a small flip down compartment in my 2010 Highlander and the plastic/spring mechanism broke and I would like to replace it - but I can't find the part listed anywhere online (or don't know what to search for)
No, in the middle is a little flip down thing to hold change or some shit. Just a small compartment and the spring that opens it broke.
Thanks, I'll see if I can find it
give me one reason why i shouldnt get a C4
because he can
do you have some sort of disorder where you cannot comprehend why others would do something you wouldnt? do you actually have to come to 4chan and ask for help with understanding?
fucking autism dude
I can't decide on the tires.
I'm going for 235/40/18 for summer on 18x8.5 rims for summer,
and same setup for winter tires, because I won't be driving in snow and/or ice,
winters are very short here and come late, but we are bound to change tires early,
and drive around on sunny days and occasional rains ON WINTER TIRES.
so, I'm choosing between:
>Toyo Proxes 1
>Toyo Proxes T1
>Michelin Pilot Sport 3
