What are some <$100 things you can do to your car that will help it performance/cosmetic wise?
Anyone ever get car sick when they ride as a passenger in someone else's car?
ITT: cars that you don't like because an auto journalist told you not to like them

Oh god, it happened, I got the "talk" and bent over like a little bitch and sold my 740 Volvo and put my E32 BMW up for sale, someone is coming to pick her up tomorrow.
I think I've lost it completely because I had to sell those fuckers for insane prices and no way in hell did I get to keep any of the money.
Exactly, I got that talk, the "Honey, they're old rusty shitboxes and you can't drive them all at once"
Sure, the Volvo was an NA slow as shit turd, but I had just restored that shit to showroom condition.
She's at her parents place right now, visiting them. I've been thinking about buying a BMW shitbox and announcing our breaking up with that BMW.
I am in the market for a new car and hoping to get something that is 2WD/4WD. The two models that I have been able to find are the Suzuki sx4 and the Suzuki Kizashi. I know these aren't super cars by any means but just wanted to see if anyone had any insight into reliability and performance?
You're in the States right? Suzuki was pretty much on par with everyone else before they disappeared. I was looking into the SX4. They're just so damn rare, but that's what I like about them. Even more rare is the AWD & manual. Rocky Road or some company, makes a lift kit for the things.
I know nothing about the Kizashi other than it sold poorly, people because perception that Honda/ Toyota is king. Really though, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Kia, Volkswagen, are all pretty good now.
here's that company
I already carfaxed it.
Clean as hell but 50k miles in the snow of fucking colorado.
Also failed a safety inspection too but was rectified. This guys is the second owner and only put 6k miles on it in two years.
Why the hell didn't he drive it more...
i have a 2012 4-piston honda accord
im going to diy change the oil today before it gets dark, never done it before
what do i do to prevent pic related from happening to me?
im petrified, what if the car falls down and i get pinned underneath and die
i was thinking of parking it up over a curve desu
thanks for the advice in advance senpai
If your car does need to be raised at all to get to the drain plug and/or oil filter, make sure to use jack stands. You never work underneath a car that is only supported by a jack. On my car I don't need to raise the body at all, the oil filter is accessible from above, so thankfully its not something I have to worry about it. Still, jack stands are relatively cheap at your local auto parts store, so don't risk it if you need them.
Looking to get a DD car in the next few months, I have been looking at a 2016 value edition Elantra currently.
Any other advice for something around 25k or less?
The Forte is on the same platform as the elentra but better in every why.
>201hp turbo or 174hp 2.0gdi
>most the options on the elentra come standard on the forte.
Get the forte if your willing to get the elentra.
muscle > trucks
prove me wrong
how much should it cost for a shop to install a spoiler?
So my brother took my car for first time ever to pick up something and come back at 7 PM when I was out.
He called at 4 AM and told me that he had a little accident, just seen the car yesterday.
Any haves any idea of how much that would be just in parts to fix it? I want to know if the insurance might fix it or not and they'll have the response in 1 week. :/
i even have to arrive at the accident before police to say it was me because he was on alcohol, but was too dark to see any damage at all, thought it was less.
Hope the insurance not total it, because the market price is shit I think :/
