>contracted to tear down abandoned houses
would you /o/?
I am way more interested in the truck in the background than that red shitbox. What is it? From the only part I can see that cab look reminiscent of a Datsun pickup like pic related.
I think its an '84 celica
you'd like this one then. It was in there too
Obv. no keys or title so I have no fucking idea what to do with them. Former home owner can't be found. Here's another pic.
most places have a process for acquiring abandoned vehicles. here if you don't have a bill of sale, the DMV attempts to find and contact the previous owner, if no one can be found or comes forward in 4 weeks, and no theft report was ever filed, the car is yours.
DMV will be able to tell you more for your location.
>get free hachiroku
>get paperwork in order, $100
>get tune-up and brake job, $500
>take to local plastidip shop for panda paintjob, $500
>pop in eurobeat mixtape, $2
>video some hectic skids at the autocross, $50
>sell to weeb for $10,000
why the fuck wouldn't you
Yeah of the three the car is absolutely the shittiest thing but you should definitely take all of them and see about getting titles. Look for the keys too they're probably somewhere.
Restore her and stick an f20c ,Sr20det, 2ZZ, or Blacktop in there and use it as a dd.
i have a 1981 4x4, a 3rd gen 4x4 in that shape is worth ALOT. its very hard to find one with the original box intact and the interior that clean. definitely keep that one
theyre so sought after because 1985 was the last year of solid front axle on 4x4, even my beat to shit 81 4x4 with no box i have a couple people a week come and ask if i'll sell it
>a fucking pristine 4x4 Hilux
OP, you know the term "Barn Find"? Yeah, this is one of them. If you take enough pictures (and get to keep it), you can probably get in an enthusiast magazine with that thing.
>plate is A TOYOTA
It's the little things.
i'm keeping it. and doing a levin conversion. make it look like the futo from gta. a repllica of a car based on the car its replicating
>a repllica of a car based on the car its replicating
Ford already did that with the newest Mustang and the Trackmania Canyon car.
YOU CAN USE THAT FOR EVERYTHING BUT THE BIKE; THE STATE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT THE NICHE VALUE, JUST THE INSURANCE VALUE AND THE INSURANCE VALUE OF 1980S-ERA TOYOTAS IS LOOOOOOOOOW.
Also, if you haven't, go buy tarps to throw on all the vehicles. They're in such immaculate condition because they've been safe from the elements up until now, and you've obviously busted a hole in the roof.
the hole was in the roof already, due to weather I guess.....I stumbled upon these while I was checking for utility disconnects. I figured something was up when I couldn't get through the door due to pickup beds blocking it.
>it still has the engine block
IT CAN BE REBUILT! IT'S STILL WORTH MONEY!
It doesn't even matter if he found the car and truck in the garage. He can't just take it and claim ownership. Its most likely titled to someones name and by claiming ownership is basically theft when your name isn't on the title.
this is what I'm looking into. The only thing is I'm not a storage facility or mechanic, like the form suggests that you have to be. I guess I could have them towed to our shop and act like someone left them there...?? lol
True, but if they were left in an abandoned house that's being torn down, they were abandoned. Talk to the clerk of your county court. There is a legal way to get them, I know it.
>Please seek a court ordered title from your county clerk of the court of common pleas (hereafter referred to as clerk)
IT'S A MANUAL AND EVERYTHING
God damn dude, you better fucking take all of those home somehow. Even if you don't want them, just rescue them and sell them.
email this shit to japanese nostalgic car, they'd love this shit.
OP if you dont take these vehicles....you are without a doubt a tremendous faggot. I'm getting all hot and bothered just looking at these pictures. But the fact that you can literally take these without repercussion for free.... hnggghhgh
Well, I've once found dead, completely dried cat in our barn and there was no smell.
Looked kinda like pic related.
>mfw this whole thread
OP better not be taking us for a ride here. I hope you figure out how to legally obtain those vehicles and post progress you faggot.
Buy car covers, and you better keep us updated fag. Keep taking pictures, and you'll get into any number of Toyota enthusiast magazines.
It depends on where you live. There are houses in Detroit that cost only a couple thousand bucks, but come with massive liabilities (so are basically worth negative tens of thousands of dollars). OP lives in Ohio, soooo probably a rustbelt city that's going full mad max mode
possibly worse than hondafags
nice find tho op
double dubs confirmed u mad
>implying you aren't poring over google maps right now in attempt to discover the location of this treasure cache and plotting OPs grizzly demise
I'm onto you, fucker, and this will not stand.
>runs out to car to drive 3000 miles to get to treasure cars first
Alright faggots. This isn't an AE86 that OP found. It's a shitty AE88 GTS. It's worth maybe $200. Don't fucking worry about it. Just getting a new title, tow it, and get new keys/ignition would cost more than the entire car is even worth. Fuck it, just forget it's even there.
It's a RWD lightweight Japanese coupe from the 80s with a 4AGE and seems to be fairly well preserved. It's worth quiet a bit more than 200.
Though I do agree the 80s Corollas are insanely overpriced even though none of them are AE86s, not even clones, just base model Corollas.
>5000 I know what I got
Grats, you've watched the Regular car guy vid.
still looks like an AE86, and the body is pretty much the same, which is what matters.
Having seen some of your other posts, i have come to the conclusion that you, are one stupid cunt.
>tripfag hurriedly calling Ohio to try and steal the Corolla out from under OP
I'm a property inspector OP while I normally don't find cars I did find this gem a couple weeks ago.
Alright, newfags. I guess I have to learn you a fucking book. The AE88 is nowhere near the same as the AE86. Not only is it underpowered like a bitch, the AE86 is carbed while the 88 is FI, compression of the 86 was 9.0:1 while the 88 was 9.4:1, the 88 had LSD while the 86 did not, the 88 had 4.30 gears while the 86 had 3.91 gears, the 88 had 6.7 diff while the 86 had a 6.4 diff.
Saying the 88 is the same as the 86 is literally saying the 85 is the same as the 86. The 85 and the 86 both share the AE86 chassis. What makes an AE86 isn't the chassis, it's the VIN.
First thing I thought, I've considered more than once to get an AE86 to modify it like my Futosaba.
> Only 2 hours out
Road trip time.
God damn OP, you are one lucky motherfucker. You can get titles for them by filing an abandoned title form and waiting 30 days. At least that's how it works in VA. Mad jelly
Now you're just pulling shit from your ass.
why would you say that the 4AGE is carbed? to troll? you can't be this stupid..
and the 86 didn't come with a LSD? why you do dis..
Are you really so stupid that you've confused a AE85 with the 86? That's the only conclusion that i can come up with
>What makes an AE86 isn't the chassis, it's the VIN.
Please, just stop.
You're pretty much going to become that tripfag who photoshopped screenshots to back up hes ignorance after he got called on it, or maybe you're him? can't remember the name anymore.
>the AE86 is carbed while the 88 is FI
Nigger what? the E in 4A-GEU stands for Electronic Fuel Injection. Don't tell me you're thinking of the AE85 with the wet noodle suspension and wheezy carbed SOHC engine. Next thing you'll be telling us is that the AE86 has four wheel drum brakes.
Although the plebian 4A-GEC put out only a few pennies short of the GEU, it could be comparable to upgraded GEU if it was done up in the same way.
Not to mention a limited slip diff is a good thing, and it's what the JDM AE86 had as a option for the top tier trim.
Where the hell are you getting this stuff? I'm souring the internet looking for shit that makes this true, but I'm honestly not finding anything.
Yeah, I looked it up. The 86 was EFI. I did confuse it with the 85's SOHC A4. But. I'm pretty sure only the AE88 came with LSD. I never once saw an 86 with LSD when I was stationed in Okinawa. And I saw those little shits everywhere. Actually makes me miss my 91 Prelude. So, you were right on one of the things. Post a link if you can find anything that says if the actual AE86 had LSD or not and I'll look at it later.
he's a demo guy, he's expected to salvage shit unless he's been specifically instructed not to, which he has not been.
do you really think he has some legal requirement to throw the toilet and electrical appliances in the dump instead of selling them to a junk man?
>I'll spout a heap of bullshit and you'll believe it
>if you spout a heap of bullshit i want evidence and sources
You're a special kind of stupid aren't you?
Well shit I was wondering because it looks like that Jeep that I found is a 1st gen Grand Cherokee, odo had about 144k on it IIRC.
The house was sold at a foreclosure auction just under 18 years ago. If I put in some new gas and a charged battery what exactly are the chances that Jeep would start? If it would even crank I mean. It has the 4.0L I6
Personally, I don't care if anyone believes me or not. I just personally never saw an 86 with LSD. If anyone finds a source for it, then I'll look it up. But, it's not a matter of believing there is an 86 with LSD or not or even calling it bullshit. I've just never ran into one.
change the oil, check the distributor and the plug wires. maybe change the fuel filter, and yeah, fresh gas. there's really no reason it shouldn't go with a few cranks
mechanically it could be fine, but I guarantee it will be spewing fluids out of every seal in a few miles. wheel seals, transmission, you name it. be prepared to replace a lot of gaskets.
Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex, the king of AE86's, if you may. Came with LSD.
Do more research before you start spewing more shit. Most of the time, quoting wikipedia won't cut it.
Nah it's my brothers. We do love our Toyotas though.
Op sell me that truck
How was that proved wrong? Where is your stated proof? He said I was wrong. And I might be, I might not be. Either way, doesn't really matter. I just haven't seen an AE86 with LSD ever. Maybe if it was a trim level that only had 500 units, them perhaps. If not, then who knows. I'm not saying he's wrong. I just said if anyone wants to post a link, then I'll look at it.
And just because I never saw an R32 GTR when I was in Okinawa, doesn't mean they never existed. Though, I see them online all the time. I don't need to see it to know it exists. An 86 with LSD on the other hand, I've never heard of or seen. While I find it unlikely, I'm not discounting the fact that they might exist.
> inb4 damage control
> don't give a fuck if I'm right or wrong
> if I'm wrong, cool beans
your damage control is off the richter, breh.
I never even post but your buttmad got me smirking so thanks.
Damn, those look good. Even the state that it is in
Why do you post your "info" if you know that you most likely are wrong then?
Nice. Been anticipating it for a while, need to test my 4x4 skills in my truck real soon.
It's been rainy as hell up here in DC since 4. I'm waiting for it to freeze over so the government closes...
>it's a 4runner, toyota stronk
I see where it says "optional US only" on LSD, but nowhere for the Jap models.
Yeah, you can buy aftermarket LSD parts for a conversion. Doesn't mean the Jap 86 came with LSD from factory.
Does this prove me right? No idea. I don't really use wiki as dead facts.
And no source saying it did have LSD. You can mod them of course, but again just posting a car's name isn't dead proof that I'm wrong.
> kids can't find proof, so they say that calling me wrong is the same as proving me wrong
Again, I might be wrong. Even if that wiki says it's US only. I don't trust that shit. And I would to use it as proof. But, as it stands, it seems like I was right.
This, and pic related
fuck off brofistine
>I don't trust that shit.
It's funny how you quoted the wiki page then, stating it as proof.
But back to my question, why do you keep posting "facts" if you know that you're most likelt wrong? like you were with the other "facts" you posted earlier in the thread.
theres one link that says it came optional with LSD. Why you'd belive the top trim AE86 didn't come with an LSD and the "inferior(according to you) did is beyond me.
Oh, I'm not mad, br/o/. I never get upset. But, I do reply to let peeps know that I listen to my br/o/s. And if it was dam cont then wouldn't I be trying to prove my point with half ass facts? So far, two people on here have made posts that indicate that I'm right. Am I? Maybe, maybe not. No one has posted proof that I'm wrong. But, as I see it, I could still be wrong. I don't know every option ever offered. I just know that I have personally never seen an 86 with LSD. And I have seen a lot of 86's.
It's not that I'm "most likely" wrong. In fact I'm "most likely" correct from sheer experience with the cars at shops and from other racers who own/owned the cars themselves.
Could I be wrong about something? Sure. But, anyone can be and will ultimately be wrong about something. That shouldn't keep them from talking at all about what they have a passion for.
Find a nice parking lot and do some donuts. You'll learn to slide and control your truck in case you slip on the road.
>controlled environment practice
Yeah, that's what I meant by testing the skills, but the weather will also test me :o
Plenty of good-asphalt empty lots around me in the industrial area. You should try too, the last time I offroaded was on the dunes a few years ago and I need practice for all sorts of terrain.
Fucking tripfags man.
You'd think they wouldn't go out of their way to be massive faggots, but you'd be wrong.
same person, my 944 S2 is rarer, so it's not like it's a special find, there is a guy around me who hoards these things, but I'm almost pretty sure thats why they never pop up for sale near me.
>tries to tripfag thread with his "knowledge"
>resorts to what can only be described as trolling to control damage
jesus fucking christ /o/ is worse than /g/ now.
Regardless of cobrafaggot, OP's car HAS a lsd. That is a good thing. That's all that matters here. The thing we should focus on is getting a mod to sticky this for a few weeks so we can stay updated on what might be the greatest thread in /o/'s entire history.
Except florida is filled with beaners/old people/basketball Americans/hokey tourist.
>northern Alabama/mississippi and Tennessee=god tier
Thats what I was saying Tennessee>Florida>commiefornia although Miami might as well be cuba, Florida(and pretty much every state except jew york, Mass., and maryland) is much better than commiefornia
crossposting from /k/.
Here's how you fix California (I've been informed that I did cut a couple decent areas but I'm not an expert about socal since I avoided that area like the plague so input is liked.)
But yeah, remove those areas more or less and you get rid of the vast majority of the idiots that managed to mess up the state, and keep all the decent innawooding/offroading etc area.
Anyway back on topic, those cars look really nice and I am envious of you OP.
No, it's gone. Cutoff is just a bit north of Redwood City where the 92 bisects San Mataeo when I made that during one of the discussions on /k/ about splitting CA into 6 or 7 states last summer.
Commifornia here. Florida is a fucking shit hole. It smells like black mold and there is nasty bugs everywhere. The air is so humid that it is hard to breathe and will leave you dripping with sweat even at 3 in the morning.
I'll keep my beautiful ladies in the Sunshine state.
>Fresno as the capitol
Have you ever BEEN to Fresno? It's the saddest city in the world. At least Sacramento has some culture for chrissakes. Literally no one lives in Fresno; they go there for work, and they go as little as possible. The sun never shines in Fresno. It is overcast all year, a dull brown malaise of clouds that reflects the attitudes of the sad, morose souls that inhabit that cursed place.
I lived an hour and a half away from there and worked on a farm south of Lemoore during the summers. I am very aware of the weather patterns in the central valley. It also is not nearly as bad as you depicted.
There's a very good way of fixing the weather issues, AND generating electricity.
Modeled it in college, iirc drill two sets of 80 120 ft diameter tunnels through the sierras at about 4k elevation to the east of Visalia and Merced. Throw some heavy duty grating and steel shutters so you can close them up for maintenance and install turbines into the tunnels at the ends, the difference in air pressure between the CA and Nevada side will keep a continual flow of air running through them almost year round, keeping the air from stagnating in the central valley and generating electricity.
Same could be done in the coastal range but that would be more troublesome because of how there's active fault lines and oil shale deposits off on that side (not to mention the geology on that side of the state is a clusterfuck because of the faultlines) to have a near constant coastal influx. It'd be very simmilar to if there was a set of new passes cut into the mountains.
Seriously though, Stockton is a sadder place. Used to be a high dollar port and having fuckton of merch going through the delta there, especially when they had the military contracts. Bases shut down, and then the environmentalists got involved and they let a lot of the locks silt in.
Anyway now I've gone way off track about the thread and the subject of the board...so.....yeah there's that.
>he gets his car facts from Regular Car Reviews
ok update time OP
Are you gonna try to get this? if not can we get some anons to put together a kickstarter to grab this fucker? body may have rust judging from the engine components but who knows, it might be as prestine as dat dash and interior.
Where is this? can some local anons get in on it?
>500,000+ urban population
>Very diverse with Asians, whites, Mexicans, Armenians, niggers, native Indians, and other smaller stuff
>housing dirt cheap compared to other cities
>cost of living is ridiculously lower than other CA cities
>it never rains in Fresno, why the fuck would their be overcast?
> being this autistic
You've never lived in Fresno. You probably visited on the one day we had rain. It's an okay city but there's also no pizzaz.
Actually it's the geology of the valley really. Even during the initial westward push, because of the humidity from the lakes and sloughs as well as the smoke from fires burning unabated up in the mountains the central San Joaquin always had a brownish haze to it.
Now it's mostly the smog from the 99, I5 and stuff being blown in over Pacheco pass getting stuck until there's a big enough weather system to push that all over into nevada. You can't kick up enough dust or kick out enough smog from Ag nowadays without getting fined into bankruptcy by CARB to really affect the smog levels one way or another.
OP you are one lucky son of a bitch.
Meanwhile in an undisclosed Location in South Australia(The state I live in)
Looks like Chevy Engineers designed the dash to swap over the gauges no problem. Never seen RHD before
Basically brand new. It can go another 10 million miles easily.
GTS american spec AE86 in decent condition
nissan truck in ok condition
Low mileage hilux
OP really struck shitbox gold, I can't fucking believe it!
I found some history on the 1985 Corolla.
VIN starts with jt2ae88
purchased in 2000 for $300 with 126k miles
now has 150k miles
the 1982 Hilux:
purchased in 1999 with 76k miles for $1750
1500 miles put on it in the last 16 years
>in that condition
Holy mother fucking SHIT, OP. People would give their left nut for a find like this.
OP please snatch these up so I can live vicariously through you.
I shouldn't be getting excited over a bunch of shitbox Toyotas but damn this really is a good find.
Dude, I would come around and suck your dick for these cars.
[[[JELOUSY INTENSIFIES DRAMATICALLY]]]
I really hope you save 'em.
one day we will all take that walk, anon
MFW A FUCKING HILUX WITH 920K Mi is worth 5K+ with a manuel transmission. With body rot, and fucking dents, busted synchros, a clutch that slips more than black ice, and a bench seat that has more foam showing than cloth.
FUCK MY LIFE
OP if you don't get those vehicles saved I will find you and kick you in the dick.
It's okay anon. it doesn't have to be today, but one day
is that celica for sale by any chance? I've been looking for one a notchback with a manual transmission for a really long time. My dad used to have a 77 when they were pretty new and it's been my dream car since i was a kid. if so, where are you located?
