Okay, I recently got into photography because I've always loved the look of film photography and one day came across a Pentax K1000 at a thrift shop and decided to give it a shot. I haven't been at it for very long and have only shot one roll of film...I've picked up another camera since then and I just got a bunch of film so I can really try to jump into it.
My problem is...What's holding me back...Is that I get this weird foggy head feeling and my left eye gets blurry no matter how long I use my cameras...Even if it's only for a minute. I've... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>2699290 That's funny. I got the same thing for a while when I used an old camera I cleaned up. I was a little concerned it might be from mercury or something from the old corroded battery that was left in there but that's pure speculation.
How silly would it be to invest in a new Pentax setup when the K1 gets released?
Currently I shoot Nikon, I have been having some issues with Nikon for the last few months (D810 having to go back for repair 7 times in 2 months) I am seriously contemplating a switch to CANON.. But am also thinking about giving Pentax a shot.. But am worried that giving Pentax a shot is basically throwing money into an already dead system..
Pentax has been said dead for some years and yet they are making money. I think they are stepping up their game with the 645Z and the K1. There will be better service options too. I heard the full frame is delayed because they have to fix some flaws and really want to deliver a good product. I would only change system if the price was right and it fulfills your needs.
Thoughts on these lights? I'm not a fan at all. I think most of the people that use them are pretty hacky and portraits taken with them look really off and not natural. The ring reflection in the eyes is very creepy.
Shoot half a 10-sheet box, realize how expensive and difficult it is to shoot large format, be disappointed with the results, leave the thing on your bookshelf for all perpetuity while constantly bragging on /p/ about being LF master race.
>>2698974 There's the GR, but if you can't afford that, you can try getting the Samsung EX2F which has an f/1.4 lens AND a fully articulated screen, as well as manual controls in video mode, though it is at the cost of a much smaller sensor
I got my first camera a few weeks ago, these shots are all mostly from my first couple days of shooting. I realize it's all garbage but it'd be nice to get some early feedback so I can know where to aim and what I'm worst at.
Guys im torn. Nikon D7200 or the Sony a7? Virtually the same price, leaning towards the a7 for its lowlight performance and compactability, but the D7200 also looks very promising. Just wanted to hear your opinions.
Let's face it, the things that make a great photo are the attractive model, the amazing wardrobe, the expensive lighting gear and the cool locations. If you're not rich enough to afford any of these things on a regular basis, you're going to end up being a shit photographer doing "street photography" or some other unoriginal talentless garbage, shooting the same shit everyone has seen a million times before over and over again. The people who still don't realize this and think "it's all about the photographer" are the same people... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
I'll shoot what I want to shoot. Its my hobby and I use it for photojournalistic projects that provide social commentary more than anything. I don't make money but I speak my mind through the pictures I present.
>>2698328 You're a dumb cunt. That's way worse than just being a cunt.
>>2698326 The upper lights are smooth smears, right? Means the camera's exposure is okay. Ergo - moving lightsource must've been blinking. LEDs replace more traditional lightsources in car lighting. Unlike the rest they don't use up from turning them on and off constantly, so to save on power and other smart reasons I've forgotten yet which are a google away, they blink.... Comment too long.
