>>2980444 Not sure if the burning thing was a pun, but nice joke. I voted for Trump in this election, but I'd say the two are similar in the sense of getting people excited. I think Hitler was able to excite people more than Trump, simply for the fact that people wont shut up about Trump literally being hitler. Hitler was widely loved because he pulled his country out of a deep depression and turned it into the most powerful country in Europe in a very short period of time.
Trump has similar economic ideas in the sense that he wants deregulated markets and nationalism (which shouldn't be considered a dirty word) it's simply being proud of your country, and putting your country first. Hitler had better speaking abilities that Trump does, but they can both get people excited about their own country. It's going to be hard though when a good portion of the country despises America
>>2980448 you think hitler was all about deregulating markets and enabling free markets? the guy who was literally a national socialist? herr "arbeit macht frei"??? that might be the most retarded thing I've ever read, even coming from a trump supporter I have to say I'm astonished
>>2980450 Did I say free markets somewhere? I don't think I did. Deregulated and free markets are two different things.
He put an end to the banking industry that essentially enslaved Germans with debt, and put it back on a simple gold backed currency. He essentially degregulated a lot of the banking industry with socialism, which at first sounds bizarre, but when you think about the fact that the bankers were pushing for communism, socialism is deregulated in comparison. Still far from pure capitalism, but closer than communism
>>2980455 "putting an end to the banking industry" is the epitome of government regulation, you ridiculous doublespeak shitlord. heavy protectionist tariffs constitute another REGULATION. I really didn't ever expect to have to argue against the thesis that hitler's economic success was a product of free enterprise. You and your worldview are a joke.
>>2980470 hitler didn't bring back the gold standard. he found the idea laughable. he literally had the government set fixed exchange prices for the reichsmark. its only "real" backing was state power. you don't know what the fuck you're talking about.
