You aren't alive, you're dead. You've sacrificed your consciousness, creativity and individuality for a zombie consumer society.
You work all your fucking life until you're 65, and then you're too old to enjoy the things you wanted to do your entire life.
shit OP whyd you have to go and say athinglikethat...
LOL SPEAK FOR YOURSELF
I AM NEET SLOTH DESTROYER OF WORLDS
Have some Russian graffiti, OP.
"You fear death.
>implying you live"
But I enjoy bicycling, photography, music, books and some movies and TV shows.
I'm doing plenty that I had wanted to do and I'm enjoying my life.
>40h a week
>mfw currently working 60+
Man, I wish I could be a NEET. But I can't, because of what it would do to my parents; They raised me, sent me to university, and hoped that I'd grow up to become at least self-sufficient, if not a great man. Well, I don't think I'll ever be a great man, but I don't want to rely on them for the rest of my life.
It's bizarre, but it's the men who retire that die, not the ones that keep working. Our job is the stick we measure ourselves against each other.
Dropping out of the race is dropping out of society.
I dunno... Driving a Mercedes Benz and going to Cancun is pretty sweet. My father is a surgeon and I can say having money is great.
Unrelated note, what the fuck does "3d" mean. I'm assuming is means lose girls but I want an exact specific definition.
in an ideal world I would work 30 hours a week thats a 3 day week but thats an ideal world.... for now im going to have to work 40 to 50 hours and maby more....
there are things I want to do like travel, study, art and kendo.....
but I need the money to pay for classes, tickets and equipment....
my current job sucks the pay sucks and the hours suck I'm a Kitchen porter I clean up after everyone eles how ever I am trained to drive a 36ton truck (Box/Rigid) if I got the C+E stamp on my Drivers Licence then I know I can get lots of money by doing agency work... then I would be doing 30 hours a week
but thats never going to happen till the cunts running things stop saying
>>you've got no experience mate
>mfw people will unironically argue against this obvious truth
Life is hard, and you're blessed enough to be born a human, born in a time and a place where you can just mooch off other people you're whole life.
and yet, you continue to bite the hand that feeds, to mock the people who make your lifestyle possible.
Want me to dump some more of these?
>if you can only speak the truth in whispers, then an enemy has taken your country
I might enjoy working if I could find a job that isn't minimum wage drudgery
>at least Twitter and Facebook know the warmth of your hands
godda pay ur dues yungin
>I'm a lazy alcoholic
>it's the president's fault
>kids, don't listen to grown-ups!
>they've fucked up the world!
>fleeing from guards/patrolmen - it's badass and saf-
I'm half way through that race and I think OP's points is the single biggest problem with people and fixing this might just help a twatload towards fixing this fucked up spinning rock.
>there's always a way
That one doesn't translate too well, sadly - anyway that's it for my folder of nonshit ones.
what if i told you i plan to live a hybrid neet life?
basically take up a part time job up to the maximum tax free allowance, and then claim benefits up to the maximum benefit allowance before job income cuts benefit allowance?
climb to the top of the wage cliff, not the corporate ladder. 20 hours a week of work, spend your time enjoying your life
(britfag here so this graph doesn't apply as much, but it explains it visually)
On a bust of Yuri Gagarin:
>Yuri, we fucked everything up
>And you run and you run, to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking
>racing around to come up behind you again
>The sun is the same, in a relative way, but you're older
>Shorter of breath, and one day closer to death
Keeping punching the time clock for capitalism,
>you can't drink away your soul
>i drank mine away
I work the stock market for about 5% of normal work time and I already make about 800k USD a year, no education about the subject, I used a 20k inheritance to start it up. I simply pay attention to the world and how it revolves, investing in companies developing technology that will be sold in extreme amounts.
(Apple has made me 1.3million by themselves so far, even tho its a shit company).
The stock market is a filthy gold mine, no wonder people on wall street work there.
As a rhyming poem
>world's a cunt, the planet is boiling
>like and retweet
>everything I don't like - it's shit
>Plato is a friend to me, but truth is dearer
>i was once interested in the actions of people
>you're all shit too!
And that's it.
i am currently finishing up A-levels - right now as i write this post i am kinda slacking on chemistry revision for tomorrow, but ah well
the general plan is to stay at home (yes in dear old mum's house, this is the neet part) and collect income to spend on travelling. it's not entirely unrealistic to take day trips out to visit places in europe like say, once every two weeks? minimum wage will be £6.50 when i'm in such a position, and 20 hours of that gives you £130 a week (tax free remember!) and in addition to benefits which i currently get (around £70 a week), that's enough money to travel decently. i don't have to pay exorbitant amounts to get culturally enriched (in the strong white european sense) because there are always free museums and sightseeing spots, and this travelling part, in addition with actually contributing to society, makes it not 100% neet life.
(if i get so bored of travelling, i'll have three A-levels and a fuckload of good work experience)
>tfw wanted to be neet but parents are retarded and ended up homeless when 18
If it weren't for some emotional baggage then I'd be gone. I have really nothing to show for the three decades I've been alive other than saying (unfortunately) having my shit job at walmart for most of my 20s.
Now were talking. Without money, capitalism and communism would function as they were meant to. Add some self sufficiency to a capitalist/communist community, and life would be much better, people would be free to do what they love, not what makes the most money.
It'd be best if everyone had their own small garden, not necessary however. And no, let's say you're a computer builder. You want a whole cow. Farmer doesn't want a computer, but needs metalwork done. You trade your computer to a metalworker for a day of metalworking. You send the metalwork man to the farm, you collect your cow and have enough meat for 2 years.
if i want to survive in your economy i need to produce goods to trade for other goods, i cant sell my labor because there is no money.
do you not see how terribly flawed this idea is?
You are selling your labour. Goods and services can be sold for other goods and services. Nothing should require actual currency, as currency only emulates value, and has no real value of its own.
>You trade your computer to a metalworker for a day of metalworking. You send the metalwork man to the farm, you collect your cow and have enough meat for 2 years.
what the fuck? so renting out my desktop pc to a metalworker who obviously can trade for one on his own, will do enough metalworking for me to trade for an entire cow?
>Goods and services can be sold for other goods and services.
how the fuck would anything work? how would i have an internet connection? how would i have a car? how would i be able to eat? how would i get anything if there is only trading goods and services?
say i want to go food shopping, how would i trade a service to the store to get the food? how would i trade a service to an isp to get on the internet?
makes no sense.
How am I insane? It's a theoretical situation. Without money determining value, it's plausible. Any direct transaction of goods or services is possible without money. I didn't mean renting it to him for a day I meant trading it altogether.
Life's a piece of shit, when you look at it
Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true
You'll see its all a show, keep 'em laughin as you go
Just remember that the last laugh is on you
Internet connection, you'd trade a good or service to a internet company. How you'd eat, look at above. I got my car in real life by trading a laptop, xbox 360 and a tablet for it.
youre insane because there is no direct way to get things anymore, without money there is no way society can advance.
not every single human can be a goods producer, and how the fuck would you be able to pay people anymore? a farmer cant produce for me an internet connection and a computer or electricity to run them.
>without money there is no way society can advance
I think I just died a little inside. Do you not see that money is just a control mechanism? It doesn't ADVANCE society, it CONTROLS it. So long as money exist, we as humans are nothing but flock for the elite (and I say that as a capitalist).
>not every single human can be a goods producer
No, so those who can't can then trade with their services, instead of goods. If you can't do services or produce goods, then how do you even survive in the CURRENT system?
>a farmer cant produce for me an internet connection and a computer or electricity to run them
Your ignorance is appalling. Have you not been reading this thread at all?
>you'd trade a good or service to a internet company
that makes no sense if you consider all the hundreds of trades you would need to do every week just to survive. it would consume so much time and effort trying to trade odd things and do odd jobs to try and piece together some kind of livelyhood.
if i wanted to get a pizza for dinner i would have to trade my labor to a farm for the base ingrediants, then bring them to the pizza man to make a pizza, then to compensate the pizza man for his time of making the pizza i would have to do who knows what else to accomplish what a simple currency can do in moments.
Sure, you'd do hundreds of trades, as you do hundreds of transactions. If you wanted a pizza, you go to the pizza place and trade something for a pizza. Anything in usable condition would most likely be acceptable, as anything in this system could be traded. Perhaps you'd trade some DVDs or some cheese for it. The possibilities are endless.
explain to me in extreme detail how i would accomplish having a place to live, a computer, internet connection, electricity, and food while living in a city.
i dont see how this is possible for every human by trading goods and services, but it is for currency.
i think you guys just have your heads extremely far up your asses and dont even think of how everyone would be able to live and have technology and society advance.
Read the rest of the thread, we've already explained it. If you needed a house, maybe you could trade a vehicle, or long term labour for it. Maybe you could contract someone to build it. Maybe you could rent it, trading labour/a good whenever. Open your mind.
Why do you need detail? It is just as things work now. Money is just another commodity. Get rid of money, and you'll just be left with other commodities, and if you don't have any commodities, you pay with services, just like how you pay with services to earn money in our present system (e.g. working at a coffee shop to earn money to buy food, clothing, housing, etc.). Simple as that.
And how am I insane? I answered your question. In order to economically advance yourself, the pizza place would need to trade as many pizzas for goods/services/labour as possible.
>If you can't do services or produce goods, then how do you even survive in the CURRENT system?
work a job and get paid money, use the money for the things you want.
in your fucked up system there is no way to actually work a job to get what you want. you need to do some sort of endless chain of bartering.
>Read the rest of the thread, we've already explained it
its not explained at all, and your inability to do so only makes me think im getting trolled.
>you pay with services, just like how you pay with services to earn money
but i can use money for anything, now i would have to trade some coffee i got making coffee for people at a coffee house for X thing this other guy needs for X things another person needs just to be able to have dinner that night. and then trade more coffee again and again for other stuff that other people need in a never ending trade just to do a simple things like having food, clothing, housing, etc.
how would i even trade the coffee all the time? the shipping would be so expensive.
none of this makes sense.
and none of you are to make any sense of it here.
how do i eat? how to i have a place to live? you cant do that fixing bikes for a month to earn a bike.
but that one commodity can be traded for all other commodities, not just based on what someone currently wants to trade for things.
>Implying I don't make 100k$ + a year from what originally a hobby
>Implying I don't work 15 hours a week at most
I will be making $500,000 annually by my 24th birthday
OP is butt mad because he was too dumb to make a good path for himself.
It makes sense. It seems as if you're in denial. You really haven't brought any proof to the table to why such a system would be inferior to currency. Instead of doing tons of small trades, why wouldn't you just trade lots of high amounts of things like coffee and food?
Though luck is still a factor, hard work and determination (cheesy, I know) often do produce positive results. They only problem is that people think that they're entitled to things, when they're really not.
i can work a job and get something in which i can trade for EVERYTHING i need and want.
do labor --> get money --> trade money for everything
in your system:
find labor that will give me something i can trade with --> (cloud of endless trades to try and get the things people currently want with the stuff i traded my labor for in order to get the things i want and need)
I'd rather not because I am ashamed to associate myself with then, but I will say two of them are on young money
I left school at 16, started working to fund my hobby and have never looked back.
But I like being productive with my life and driving my Mercedes and being able to choose where I want to go on vacation. Since working full time I have choices in what I want to do.
When I was NEET I had none of these luxuries because I couldn't afford it. I don't even like taking time off anymore because I feel like an unproductive shit.
I'm sick of poor people trying to convince people who have money and good jobs that they've wasted their lives away because they didn't stop to look at the clouds and breathe in a fresh gust of breeze. Jealous poorfags, I'll enjoy my consumer goods thank you very much
don't listen to or buy into this Jew BS. This is the same logic that caused an entire generation of young people to go to college for dumb pointless liberal arts degrees because it was more fun and more along the lines of "what they wanted to do with their lives". Are you enjoying that college debt and piss poor job market now faggot? No you are extending your hand, asking for your handout, and demand that the government redistribute bank money to you, and forgive your debt, because its not your fault, its those big ebil babby boomers who did this to you right? They held a gun to your head and told you to accrue 70k+ in federal and private loans to learn about sex therapy, women's studies, social re engineering, modern art, and cultural diversity. Was it worth it? Well?
You know in the fucking middle ages, people lived to 30, and worked every fucking minute of every waking day of their life until they died. Stop bitching and moaning about your 40 hour a week job doing something you hate. You were born in the easiest fucking time to live ever.
>You know in the fucking middle ages, people lived to 30, and worked every fucking minute of every waking day of their life until they died
no they didnt you uneducated americlap
>muh dark ages
This is why money as a medium of exchange is a thing you fucking idiots. Did you ever even take a basic econ class?
omgg so deep bro!
I figured out the same thing when I watched fight club! people are jus sheep. only a few of us intellectuels have actually awoken from the consumerist zombie dream and taken the red pill!
Different guy, but fuck it
>Useful: Contributing to society
>Not useful: Masturbating to women's feet on the internet while someone supports you
NEETs pretend that they're studying 5 languages and reading 10 books and have a ton of productive hobbies, but please stop humoring yourself. Someone is taking care of you and you aren't returning the favor. It's so weird how NEETs have this Ubermensch complex where they see themselves as so far above the merits of society, even when they consume technology and embrace sloth and gluttony.
If that's true, why dont you as an individual make something of yourself? Why give up and bathe in your own weakness?
>I see no community of people.
you dont see anything because you don't leave your house while simply judging others for what they've earned.
Don't act like money is just some "INVENTED CONSTRUCT, MAAAAAAN" because you depend on it too. You're a child wearing the costume of an adult.
