Fox News, Gawker, and now even NPR are coming after Vani Hari, the self proclaimed "Food Babe". She's the blogger that started all the commotion with Subway over their bread containing the "yoga mat chemical". Suddenly, the left AND right sides are attacking her. What does she know? What did she discover that the food corporations want buried?
>Vani Hari, AKA the Food Babe, has amassed a loyal following in her Food Babe Army. The recent subject of profiles and interviews in the New York Times, the New York Post and New York Magazine, Hari implores her soldiers to petition food companies to change their formulas. She's also written a bestselling book telling you that you can change your life in 21 days by "breaking free of the hidden toxins in your life." She and her army are out to change the world.
>She's also utterly full of shit.
>There’s no denying that Vani Hari, aka the Food Babe, has ignited a clean-eating revolution—along with a lot of controversy. Hari is known for lobbying companies to remove ingredients she believes are toxic, including the “yoga mat chemical” in Subway’s bread, class IV caramel color in Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Lattes, and “antifreeze” in beer.
Why the fuck do these large scale oganisations like putting Yoga mats into our food, or american food?
pic related the maccas McRib in america was said to have the same problem
US is the only place that does this.
I think she has been sucessful in her campaign for the most part so Subway probably got their media lackies onto her
firstly you cucks should be happy that its not in your food anymore, and you can thank food babe.
and yes easy to pick apart an article she wrote and break it down and discredit her to look like a fool, which she kind of is but at the end of the day shes a food critic and nothing more which is fine ofcourse until you piss off a big cooperation
so are you saying that chemical is fine to be in your food?
is it really neccesary to use it to make bread?
>The air you are breathing on an airplane is recycled from directly outside of your window. That means you are breathing everything that the airplanes gives off and is flying through. The air that is pumped in isn’t pure oxygen either, it’s mixed with nitrogen, sometimes almost at 50%. To pump a greater amount of oxygen in costs money in terms of fuel and the airlines know this! The nitrogen may affect the times and dosages of medications, make you feel bloated and cause your ankles and joints swell.
Wow. I don't know about you guys, but I'm pretty angry that they are jewing us on oxygen considering the price of airline tickets.
>In a July 2012 post (since removed), Hari quoted the ideas of Masaru Emoto, namely that microwave ovens cause water molecules to form crystals that resemble crystals exposed to negative thoughts or beliefs, such as when the words Hitler and Satan were exposed to the water.
People get scared whenever a small internet nobody manages to influence the decisions of much larger groups.
If /pol/ ever organized around a single cause they have more signatures, more support, then 90% of these stupid soccer-mom petitions ever have had. Yet the unresisted pressure from the soccer moms is continually getting things banned or restricted.
Look at the ShekelShoah. A dozen or so rightfully angry gamers made a corporate giant bleed. That's why you're rape-terrorists now.
Anyone who reveals their power level is hunted. They are an an enemy to every corporation and every Government.
Any time I hear the word "toxins" or "healing", my bullshit detector alarm goes off.
Now if we can just get them to start a campaign against DHMO. Did you know that if you inhale that stuff, it can kill you?
well you must be one if you got that triggered from the 1 mention in the entire sentence
Isn't Nitrogen the stuff that Oklahoma wants to use for death-row inmates? OH NOES!
well why do they add it in the first place?
can america not source a certain ingredient so they replace it with the chemical?
Is it cheaper in the production phase of mass producing bread?
If place like the UK, aus and others dont use it it might be a good indicator not to.
Also the US's FDA is a slippery slope who rely on lobbying and funds for making things legal/not legal to eat and i wouldnt trust em
She's a fucking dumbass. Just because both sides are attacking her doesn't mean she's right, it just means they can agree on something for once.
For example, this is fucking dumb and proves she actually does no research, as
>The air intake for planes are in front of the engines, not behind them
>There's actually less nitrogen in the cabin than the air you regularly breathe
Both sides are retarded. Muh Gawker goes after a woman attacking their sponsors for some bullshit claim that, even if true, has little impact on me because Subgay is nasty "healthy" sandwich shoppe that I will likely never eat again.
Great way of progressing the human species. Make shit posionous food the main source with making small quantities of the healthy stuff expensive as hell. Cant wait til the rest of the world ends up like indians who swim in the ganges and drink its water, born with deformities.
yeh this is also a problem while the general population eats the cheapest shit which is usually unhealthy and harmful the wealthy have a fucking cow farms in their underground bunkers
Yes goy just let it be. Dont stand up abd demand action. Just keep calm and eat on. Let the pleb goys eat my non kosher food while i sell you my good kosher food, triple the price ofcourse.
Mein Gott, this is the Übershill hitler was always dreaming of !
I'm serious, if Gawker and Fox News both came out tomorrow with a story entitled "the sky is blue", would you guys vehemently deny it? If someone posted "but uh, guys, I'm looking out my window right now and the sky is blue", would you scream "SHILL!" and shitpost the thread up?
FoodBabe is a Jenny McCarthy tier retard who doesn't do research. Regardless of your opinion on industrialized food or additives, a large amount of her claims can be shown to be factually incorrect. Her entire shtick is "well, this chemical has a big name, so it has to be bad for you!"
As we now know, you have PR and advertising companies who launch campaigns aimed at discrediting individuals and narratives that their clients don't like. She's pissed off a lot of companies and cost them money by exposing their Jewish tactics. Now they're retaliating with a smear campaign against her.
>it’s mixed with nitrogen, sometimes almost at 50%.
Because 100% oxygen environment worked out so well for these guys:
Guise. Guise listen. The air you breathe is recycled from some poisonous plants around the globe. These plants are poisonous and therefore release pheromones into the air when they recycle carbon dioxide. Guise Jade Helm 15 operators breathe oxygen and they want us dead. Therefore by association , oxygen wants us dead. Buy muh filters.
Bread and yoga mats? That's nothing!
Did you know that Tropicana Orange juice contains a chemical compound that is found in many chlorine bleach solutions?
[spoilerz] (It's called H20). [/spoilerz]
This is pretty funny, and an obvious projection of a well known psychological error into some sort of metaphysical explanation.
>Even among people who do not profess a belief in magic, psychological experiments have shown a reluctance on the part of the public to, say, try on a sweater worn by a serial murderer.
I was really mad when this cunt went on her crusade against Subway. I worked right across the street from one when this was happening, so I ate it pretty frequently. My initial instinct was that they would raise prices over this. That didn't happen, but the bread tastes like shit now. I usually sprinkle some yoga mat particles on my sandwich on the rare occasions that I eat there.
For once I kinda agree with Gawker. She's attacking Subway for using a legal substance, it's retarded. If anything she should try to get that ingredient banned by the US government, not try to slander a company for doing something within the law.
> non-nutrient Fillers
It's a scam, China had problems with people producing fake eggs and fruit. Look very real, feels real, taste a little off... But contains no nutrients.
>If you’re going to sip cow’s milk, Hari says you should go raw. The problem is, raw milk is
unpasteurized.“The importance of pasteurization has been well documented,” Anna Maria Siega-Riz, PhD, professor of epidemiology and nutrition at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, told Health. As Siega-Riz wrote in a recent review of Hari’s book: “Raw milk, which means unpasteurized, can carry dangerous bacteria such as salmonella, E. coli, and listeria, which are responsible for numerous foodborne illnesses, especially among people with weak or developing immune systems, young children, pregnant women and older adults.
Fox News is disgusting. I've been drinking raw milk for awhile and it has the probiotics intact that help with digestive and help with phytic acid. It's not difficult to test for harmful bacteria either. I'd rather take the risk.
The reason it's pasturized is because of the risk of contamination through excessive handling.
It's different if you have a healthy cow that you milked yourself.
Same goes for raw foods that are exposed.
I eat raw eggs often and Have had no problems. They are not exposed, so the risk of contamination is very low.
Salmonella also is something the body can form immunity to through low exposure. Eat more yogurt.
Well she must be doing some thing right of everyone is attacking her
>libfags [in government] protect Monsanto
>conservashits protect, and hire on to the FDA, Monsanto
>food bitch criticizes the harmful effects of said mega corporation
Who has more to gain in this you dumb mother fucking shills holy shit you faggots need to go back to reddit or Neogaf
Well it's obvious isn't it. Food companies are using substitutes to save money, girl points it out, food companies lose money and get scared of what else she'll say.
She's a good girl obviously.
Yeah why doesn't she just write to her congressman so much faster and would actually get something done!! She's just being a bimbo
Regardless of whether the chemical in yoga mats is bad or not, I don't want it in my bread. Simple as that.
Because bread has been made for centuries without it and it has never even been suggested that regular bread was toxic. It's like if you told me "you know those scrambled eggs you eat? Lets throw some aluminum powder in there. I heard it makes it fluffier. You won't even taste it, I promise. And it's completely safe!"
>Because bread has been made for centuries without it and it has never even been suggested that regular bread was toxic.
>glutenA person – any person – who eats bread or pasta on a daily basis constantly has his or her small intestine coated with slimy, inflammatory gluten-glue, and serious vitamin- and mineral deficiencies are the result. These deficiencies usually take many decades to express themselves as Osteoporosis, Diabetes and certain forms of cancer. Societies such as Japan with a traditionally gluten-free diet have very much lower occurrences of a wide variety of diseases, in spite of the fact that these people usually eat a lot of fish, polluted with everything from PCB’s to heavy metals.
fwiw China makes "rice" out of industrial resins and plastic wastes which they use to "cut" large bags of real rice.
They also fill chestnut and walnut shells with pebbles.
You know the old adage: "You are what you eat?"
Maybe this is why all those whores are wearing Yoga Pants everywhere for every occasion nowadays.
>Ask your Acupuncturist or Nauropath for herbs that can help prevent you from contracting colds, flus and other viruses through the recycled air
i hate you so much sometimes /pol/
>subway bread is made of carbon
>theres carbon in gasoline
>subway bread is made of gasoline
