>A libcuck goverment loyal to America and not a lose canon like Erdogan. They could give the Kurds independence if they help remove assad
Even if they put the tamest puppet in place how many Turks would agree to loose that much land to the Kurds?
And even if they people approve what about the Turkish military? They could overthrow him and fuck things up more.
Their collaboration isn't new.
However Kurds be better off surrendering considering the FSA are unreliable shills who defect easily to the opposite side.
"It has been almost three years since the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has entered the imperative city of Salma; however, after their recent success in the Latakia Governorate’s northeastern countryside, the SAA – in coordination with the National Defense Forces (NDF) and the Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP) – have broken-through the Islamist rebel defenses and entered the southern district.
On Sunday morning, the Syrian Armed Forces infiltrated past the frontline defenses of the Free Syrian Army’s “Coastal Brigades” and the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” at Salma, taking control of 5 building blocks inside the city after launching this assault from their positions in the recently captured town of Kafr Dalbeh to the southeast."

That sounds conflicting.
>tfw I used a Total War 2 forum as a source for an essay about how the United States were the most important country in winning the First World War. :^)
They literally cannot be stopped.
They will overrun democracy in mere days.
By next week, we will all have to learn Arabic and Russian to survive.
>Why is Syria so embarrassing?
They dont get to cuck america for money
I don't know what you're talking about. If the prof doesn't believe your reference is legit, you challenge him to a game of road hockey. If he gets a little feisty you throw gloves and shirt the fucker. It's that simple.
Anyway, how about that Syria eh?
When I was in college, they didn't seem to care that much if our references are legit or not as long as we used the correct style guide. Use the wrong style guide, and the reference could be utterly impeccable but they still wouldn't accept it.
But onto Syria, as you say.
Currently they seem to be aiming for the main roads to Idlib, Aleppo and Turkey.
They also need to take back Jisr al-Shighour, which is the command center for JAN.
They will shut that, and Idlib down first, then, probably encircle Aleppo to cut off supplies from Turkey.
They have other operations going on shutting down the various smaller pockets in government territory at the moment as well, around Damascus and Homs, and the areas near the Golan Heights/Israel border.
The next phase will probably be cutting the border connection between ISIS and Turkey, which is in the Turkish "safe-zone". With that cut, and control of the borders restored, they can begin pushing ISIS back into Iraq, while the Iraqis crush them against the Syrian border. Should be a brutal hammer and anvil approach.
They will probably deal with Daraa at the same time as Aleppo. I don't know exactly what they will do there. Its a difficult spot, and the city is practically on the Jordanian border so cutting it off will be complicated.
Depends really on how much support they can get from Jordan. Abdullah II is not a fool. He probably doesn't like being a puppet of the Saudis either. Diplomacy will play a larger role in the campaign down there than anything else.
>Previously unknown US covert program to arm rebels with anti tank weapons had such success that it may have unintentionally drawn Russian forces into the conflict. The program successfully supplied and trained rebels with weapons which caused a "massacre" of Assad's armored units.
Not in the next 30 years.
Restablisation of the country first. Rebuilding, retraining the military. Knocking the Saudis off their perch. Got to wipeout ISIS in Egypt and Libya as well.
The next big war, barring any unforeseen events, will see a Shia-led alliance of Syria, Iraq, Iran, Egypt and Lebanon (the bloc now forming in response to ISIS and the Saudi actions) against Israel and whatever it has for allies left.
That's a good 50+ years away however.
>Iraqis Cheer Putin As His Image Goes On Sale In Stores
Get over it, Israel is far better, far more advanced and has a far more sophisticated people than any country surrounding its borders. That's why they can survive in such a hostile environment that is out to take everything from them. And I think Israel is too mild against its adversaries. They should've taken the province "Palestine" (which I don't see as a valid country) a long time ago so they could put and end to the hostilities directly.
It is a right for Israel to excess its powers to keep known enemies like Syria, Egypt, Iran and Saudi Arabia low. Which country wouldn't try to keep countries who openly scream for war low so that they don't start a war?
>That top right qt
I would travel to Syria and fight evert one and everything just to make the world better for her.

Israel just puts up with too much shit. I think it would be the lulziest thing ever if it started acting like the Jewish ISIS.
5 dead, 5 injured in NATO helicopter crash in Afghanistan
>Five soldiers died and another five were injured when a NATO helicopter crashed at a base in the Afghan capital of Kabul. The helicopter “crashed due to a non-hostile incident October 11 at approximately 4:15 pm at Camp Resolute Support, Kabul,” NATO said in a statement. The accident is being investigated. Two of the soldiers killed were British, The Guardian reported.
They were from the UK, so only muslims died
Kurds want independence
Assad has said he is powerless in that regard, every country member must vote to change its constitution then which in his mind can only happen when there is peace and stability in the future, so for the moment they do not conflict with each other and focus on ISIS and other terror organizations instead.
Me and my stomach full of pumpkin pie are going to bed.
Someone manage the threads please and thanks.
Man I have a bad feeling that America will win.
The Kurds are leading the new "Democratic Opposition". I think the will be allowed to defeat ISIS and retake Raqqa and defeat. Afterwards Assad will have to make a compromise to have democratic ellections. Syria will turn into another failed state like Lybia and America would have won.
How can the Americans court the Kurds without losing the Turks?
Unless they planned to double-cross (both) beforehand
Don't rush Alexander, if you think about it, ISIS was a good idea for USA to fight and make a proxy war in Middle East, the found FSA, ISIS, Al-Nusra, and now KSA? This would be bad for Turkey actually, think it about it, they have a complete army to defense themselves from the turks, and they aren't going alone.
USA thinks is a good idea in a short place, but for a long term, isn't.
Come on guys, Putin is winning in this assault again by been the "Hero of Syria"
we always win in the end
>Unless they planned to double-cross (both) beforehand
thats our plan with everything we do
just wait for china to realize we arent going to pay them back, ever. lel

I don't there is going to be another world war, world leaders must be stupid if they're going that way. It'd make no sense economically speaking, and it's a delusion since there can't be such a thing as absolute control over the whole world
This was always going to be the option they picked.
Turkey will be buttravaged.
The arab fighters are near useless, and are basically mercenaries. They are as likely to sell all that US brand shit to ISIS and go home rich as kings, as actually fight ISIS.
The kurds need that support though. They probably make up the majority of the 30k fighters. Will they be able to push to Raqqa? Do they want to? Probably not.
I bet they start funnelling all that gear to the Kurds in Turkey to fight the civil war.
Its just another clusterfuck decision brought to us by the biggest clusterfucks around.

I'm convinced it's meant to be a shitshow. I think that's been the intent all along, to reduce the thing to a point where Israel and Turkey have an excuse to go in with ground forces and divide the Syria and Lebanon between them (maybe the Saudis get a share, too, or maybe they just get Yemen).

As if Obama's endorsement will mean much given his unpopularity on both sides of the aisle. If anything, that'll drive voters to Hilary. If he wants Biden to win, he needs to stay as far away as possible, like Bill with Gore.

Not really if you understand the US in the 60's and 70's.
The US was positioning itself so that in the event of an exchange with the USSR the UK would be unwittingly used as a 'soak'. Kind of a shitty thing to do but brilliant.
Yep. Should have happened. Didn't because the major powers bailed on it and left Greece to fight alone. That should have thought anyone not to trust promises from Britain, France, and the U.S.
Great, more sandnigger garbage fucking stupid shitty conflict bullshit. Putin seemed great going in to just clear them out, now this garbage. Don't make me say the nigger was right. Don't let this grow further.
something like this would have have been good and close to the original plan for division
italy was given some land but they didnt claim any of it and didnt want it
Greece tried to fight for it but didnt have the numbers
It is. Overwhelmingly so. But then Syria is close to 90% Sunni, too.
However Arab Nationalism (which tends to be Shia- and Christian-friendly: Egypt, like Syria has a significant Christian minority) is strong in both countries. There was actually a brief union between the two countries as the United Arab Republic from '58-61.
From a political standpoint, yes. Turkey is far away from England and France to ever be a threat to them, and it wasn't in their interest for Russia to go full orthodox reconquista on Turkey and retake Tsarigrad.
Well yeah but i rather mean these historical battles.
Current day it would probably be America stopping them. Something about the anglos i guess that they like kebab so much.
Russia would never occupy Greek rightful clay.
Constantinople would be given to Greece in any scenario were it was liberated from Turks by Russia.
Why do English fear a strong Greece is the question.
>tfw you get your brand new copy of Fallout 4. You open the box, there's no disc, just a piece of paper with the word "Loading..." Written on it. Suddenly you are engulfed by a blinding flash of bright white light.

They might give it back to the Greeks but they'd also demand they have naval bases present and Greece would have to get out of NATO and ally with Russia. Greece isn't going to get better any time soon from the looks of it, they need to completely fix up their economy and get a strong dictator who's going to build the country up.
Wouldn't worry; this is a front for using the Kurds as us disposable soldiers outside of Syrian Kurdistan.
The 'arab' part is just to make it look more legitimate.

Looks like the SAA and NDF are storming Kafr Nabudah today.
Twitter jihadis last night were whining that it was being shelled heavily. Heaviest shelling they had ever seen apparently.
According to guys who know people, the SAA are going in now.
its funny how a single guy destroyed all of europe and french-british backed greece single handedly and BTFOed them. stay mad cucks, have fun with your welfare immigrants, no one is taking any land from turkey at all.
That tall puppet looks more like Obama but you call it Putin. What ever you fancy.
And one of that clown in that striped shirt should be sitting on the dick and wave to the crowd. That way the all gathering would have some meaning, I reckon.

>new ataturk rises and turkey attempt to captures istanbul back
>russia kick turk ass even more
>russia annex anatolia and georgia
>russia give high autonomy to byzantium culture group as a state like in the US
you dont know shit about turkish people dude, i remember when people pretty much invaded conscription centers during the re-conquesta of cyprus. people are on the edge in turkey atm waiting for a reason to pretty much eradicate kurds and finish this bullshit once and for all. time will come, time will come.
they can be invaded from 3 sides - from crimea, from caucasus and from bulgaria. if you capture constantinople then rest will fall.
Turkey was on edge of collapse couple times.
those guys arent even turkish anymore, ever heard the term "alamancı" in turkey? it is used for degenerates who immigrated to the europe in the 60s, meaning that they are no more considered as kins because they changed so much. you know nothing about turks in turkey.
even with the nukes you need to use several and cover whole turkey if you ask me, or you really need a huge army to keep everything in check and it sounds like it doesnt worth the risk.
typical european with "i know everything" attitude. there is no way that you know how turkish mindset works in turkey. you have probably never been here or lived longer than a year. look what happened to americans and "we know everything" mindset in syria, it collapsed.
But even getting to that point would be extremely hard, i dont see how it would be done.
Are european countries gonna let Russians march trough the lands or something?
Yeah its nothing really important tbh. Its just the straits but capturing the straits would not be too valuable in an ongoing war. And even if you would get to that point you will have lost alot of manpower. And after that you have to deal with another 70 million ones.
dude how dense you can actually be? is it because of the French genes or the Flaman genes? those people are living away from turkey for more than 50 years now, its pretty much the 3rd generation, we dont have the same mindset with them anymore, how hard can it be to understand holy shit.
>straddles the passage from mediterraneaon to black sea
>is the literal transition from Middle-East to Europe
>Yeah its nothing really important tbh.
Belgium is full of Turks, I know plenty about the Turkish mindset.
You dont get it. Its not like you win the war after you capture it, you need to hold on to it.
>If constantinople falls then rest of turkey will sign peace or die from bombs.
No it wont. And tell me first how you are gonna capture it? Just saying "people will march" wont do the trick.
It's pretty funny how you'll disavow Turks in Belgium.
Almost like you're embarrassed.
Also, how is "the Turkish mindset of Turkish people in Turkey" even relevant in this discussion?
Ataturk was a great man, but he's gone.
Instead you have Erdogan, who is set to undo all the progress Ataturk made.
you dont produce weapon, all yout tanks are out dated - even older than syrian or iraqi
without NATO (usa) your ground forces can be pulverised with bombers like in afganistan, syria and you will not have capability to down them.
With artillery and soldiers.
It will be cut of from the rest of turkey. Small mobile groups with thermobaric weapon will clean city.
>Istanbul is extremely important, strategically
There is a reason why the capital is Ankara now. And tell me first how you are gonna capture it.
>With artillery and soldiers.
>Bro Nathaniel is being posted on the chans again
It's truly the Libya happening all over again
when did the invasion of cyprus began? 1974, way after the first and second wave of immigrants reached europe. they never lived in the dire times in turkey, they were and are pretty much always safe and sound in europe and usa.
when did the insurgency in the turkey start? 1984, way after first and second wave of turkish immigrants reach europe. they never faced the insurgency, they never had to deal with live bombing attacks and terrorism.
whenever some immigrant came from europe to turkey back for holiday and shit, they always made fun of turkey that how un-civilized and un-modern it is. so what if it is? turkey is still your motherland, why not try to make it a better place instead of shitting on it?
this makes us quite different. turks in europe are in the 3rd generation there, they are wastly different and they didnt had to deal with the shit that happened turkey ever. turkish people were and are always soldiers, this is the mindset of turkish people in turkey. turks in europe are lazy degenerate fucktards.
And why is it strategically important other then the straits?
It has nothing of strategical advantage it would give you in a long ongoing war. And to think that you would even have to spend a shitton of manpower/weapons to even have a chance of trying it.
>wanting to know abouty gutter oil kebabs
you were stating that turks in belgium and turkey are one and the same just a little bit earlier and i was responding to it whole time. cant you understand couple of sentences really?
we also have a mbt called altay in prototype waiting for mass production, national assault rifle, various fire arms and lots of rocket systems. only thing we are missing is actually nuclear bombs and ICBMs.
>Any army will come from Thracian Plain
What army? Russian? Greek?
>Because of the straits for instance.
Yeah but in this instance it would not be of much value in an on going war.
>Also symbolically. Capturing key locations can have a tremendous effect on national morale.
That morale will be fucked after they are seeing how much men they would be losing.
>you were stating that turks in belgium and turkey are one and the same
Lol I never said that.
I simply have no clue what "muh Turkish spirit in Turkey" has to do with the fact that Ataturk is gone, and Erdogan is a shithead.
>This chest thumping by the butthurt Turks and their diarrheaspora is delicious.
The only thing thats delicious is that delusioned people actually think you can invade Turkey without nuclear weapons.
"we will march"
"artillery and soldiers"
Conflict News@Conflicts: Is often wrong. Never goes back to fix what he spams. A few days ago he spammed there was a new coalition made and named it too. Never talked about it again. So according to him there's 3+ new coalitions.
Example, during the Ukraine conflict he spammed a T-90 tank was spotted in Donetsk. I would take his tweets with a large grain of salt.
The YPG will never work with the FSA because the FSA is directly funded by Turkey. The FSA is nothing more then Al-Nusra Front which is the Al-Qaeda Syria.
In addition, ISIS ~= Al-Nusra, The elites of Al-Nusra often defect to ISIS. Often Al-Nusra/FSA aren't radical/religious enough so they quit and join ISIS.
To put is simply, its wishful thinking.
prototype is already outdated. it is monkey model of leopard 2 like half of "prototypes" in the world. Everybody produces AR. you dont produce missiles. you dont produce air-dfence systems etc.
you tanks factories will be destroyed in first 2-3 days of war.
you have not participated in war since ww1. kurds had light weapon.
>you cannot invade Turkey without nuclear weapons!
This is how 8-year-olds talk lmao.
How am I saying Turks in Belgium and Turkey are one and the same?
You're saying there is NOTHING you can learn about Turks in Turkey from Turks in Belgium, which is bullshit.
It is, but not for geopolitical reasons, but rather pure geographical reasons. The north-western part of turkey coasting the seas is the part of turkey, which is not that mountainous, which leads to easier invasion by whatever. It's easier for partizans to hide in large open spaces when the area is a mountain.
why is turkey being such a little bitch calling on nato to defend them
>You are the on parroting things over and over again m8.
Because it's simply true.
The straits between the Mediterranean and the Black Sea have significant strategic importance.
The symbolic value of Istanbul alone also represents significant strategic value.
The age of consent in Liechtenstein is 14. Sexual activity with 14-15 year olds is generally legal, but it can still be punished if sexual access to these children has been obtained by exploiting their lack of sexual self-determination
Turkey can self produce a good part of its army equipment and it is getting better at it every single day that passes. It also has a navy and an air force.
Again, where are the soldiers gonna come from? Russia? Turkey would prepare. Are they gonna send ships? Turkey would prepare. East is strategically weak but reinforcements can easily get there.
I don't know how to feel about this. I'm glad the US is finally giving the support and recognition the Kurds deserve, and pulling the finger to Turkey
but I'm dissapointed that the Kurds are joining an obviously doomed movement, or at least a movement that makes them weaker. They should have just stayed more neutral and worked out something with Assad when this is all done in '16 or '17
All turkish fleet and military infrastructure can be destroyed from crimea. missiles and planes cover all turkey.
Turkish economy with credit bubble, lack of resources, trade and budget deficit can't produce weapon. the more weapon you produce - the faster you will fall.
The best way to invade turkey is to march through balkans like in 19 century.
Even france and UK can sink your fleet and cut off constantinople
>mfw this is the first time i think jews are ok
>Turkey can only be invaded if you use nukes!
This is so childish.
So you're saying if all the countries in the world banded together and threw everything they had at Turkey except nukes, Turkey could not be invaded?
>So you're saying if all the countries in the world banded together and threw everything they had at Turkey except nukes, Turkey could not be invaded?
Are we talking about fantasy? Yeah then it will be.
>Istanbul and most of Black Sea coast is in fact in range of missiles stationed in Crimea.
So? Thats not even close to destroying all the military.
Yeah but soon enough you will rise if Putin plays it right. I've read somewhere that Russia's dependce on oil has greatly reduced. Not to mention all the goody goodies that you'll get when the Siberian tundra melts even a little. In short you are Ruskie regardless of your countries state STAY PROUD.
>So? Thats not even close to destroying all the military.
That's true, I was mainly thinking about fleet. Actually invading Turkey would be stupid, it's just too big, there is no feasible way to occupy it and keep control, even if the army is defeated.
Iraq said on Sunday its air force had hit a meeting of IS members and had also struck a convoy that was carrying Baghdadi to attend it.
It said Baghdadi had been driven away from the convoy in an unknown condition.
"Iraqi air forces have bombed the convoy of the terrorist Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi while he was heading to Karabla to attend a meeting with Daesh commanders," the Iraqi military said in a statement, using the Arabic word for the group.
"The location of the meeting was also bombed and many of the group's leaders were killed and wounded. The fate of murderer al-Baghdadi is unknown and he was carried away by a vehicle. His health condition is still unclear," the military said.
Local residents in Karabla, near the Syrian border, said eight IS leaders had been killed in an air strike, but that Baghdadi did not appear to be one of them.
A Twitter account that publishes statements from IS said "rumours" that an air strike had targeted Baghdadi were false.
The United States military declined to comment on the Iraqi military's report.
An IS fighter reached by telephone said he could not confirm whether Baghdadi had been in a convoy that was struck, but said the group would fight on whatever his fate.
"Even if he was martyred then it will not affect Islamic State," the fighter said.
"We will lose a leader but there are a thousand Baghdadis. Every minute a leader is born in the Islamic State."
Modern wars don't work like that anyway. Realistically any country that wanted to mess with Turkey would start by massively supporting Kurds and trying to push Turkey into full-out civil war, and then apply all political/economic pressure they can manage.
first meaning, also: take possession means;
and in order to own you need to occupy.
There's still a difference between invasion and occupation though.
We were talking about invasion only.
Technically, simply invading Turkey would be an absolute breeze since much of its borders are simply desert.
So I assumed that by "invasion" the Belgian Turk simply meant "defeating the Turkish military in Turkey".
in a full fledge war russia can defeat turkish military due to ICBMs and superior air forces but in no means can "invade" or "occupy" it, i guess. and only the syrian border is desert. rest are mountains.
and then you hit to mountains again as soon as you are past through diyarbakır. here is map for you,
Turkey can be partitioned: constantinople and aegean coast, kurdistan, blac sea coast etc.
Even poland was too big to annex in 1 time. So it can be occupied by parts. Britain conquered india part by part.
Even if we could, why would we want Turkey? The most extreme scenario I can possibly imagine is the occupation of Istanbul. As for the rest -
>Congratulations, you won the war! Here is your prize: some mountains, some deserts, and 77 million Turks.
no it doesnt have desert border. its mainly mountains and hills. its pretty rugged. thats why we need to re-draw the border with syria and iraq because with these borders we cant stop PKK to go back to iraq or syria when they run away. if we can actually make a desert border everything will be perfect.
we should have invaded north syria 3 years ago and north iraq 12 years ago when we had the chance.
I agree, there's nothing to be gained from occupying Turkey, because there's nothing there except Turks.
It's just hilarious seeing these Turks and their diarrheaspora thumping their chests about their military prowess.
we are occupied by pro-western occupation administration that ruined economy and country, all economically important and rich regions are russian-speaking.
people consider russians as brother-nation. situation will be resolved peacefully very soon.
ukraine is a historical part of rus.
people in russia and ukraine are same, it is like bavaria and austria. war was started because of disputed industrial regions between ukrainian oligarchs
You can install a puppet government. But you'll need part of the local elite to join your side in order to do it. So if you have something to offer to these elites it can be done.
Protests started because of stagnation in economy. They were used by another oligarchs.
Later, protesters "against russia" were illiterate western peasants and subhumans on payroll
