Tell me one factual reason why you're not an Atheist
Because there is objective truth in the world and it stems from the creator God
in this moment i am euphoric, not because of some phoney shitpost, but because i am enlightened by my own saging
Because the old gods are answering our prayers. Ba'al smote Mecca because ISIS wrecked his temple and Boreas/Cailleach/Skaði are summoning a cold winter to drive the kebab out of Europe.
That's completely different. Voldemort is hated because of his in-book actions, but god is hated (usually be athiests) due to what he doesn't do.
For instance, most atheists are typically more autistic and have a worse quality of life, therefore they deny the good will of god, which leads to denying god himself.
An interesting philosophical concept with some merit, but the concept of the higher power with control that you talk about has been revealed to us as God. The supporting evidence is how he has interacted with men in years past, how the logic of his word holds true in our observable world, and personal relationship every individual can have with him.
At least we aren't taking depression medications
>Of the top-ten most religious states, nine have higher than average use of anti-depressants.
Please come up with an actual argument. Even if every single atheist that ever existed was autistic it still wouldn't mean prove that God existed.
Are you saying that there is a difference between Voldemort's in-book and God actions, which are written in a BOOK.
The problem is atheists use the argument of 'God is an asshole because of this and that' they use it to say that moral values in religious text is worse than people make them out to be.
There is lots of evidence FOR the existence of God. None of it rises to the level of scientific proof, which would be expected of a supra-natural phenomenon, most of it is circumstantial and/or anecdotal.
There is NO evidence at all that God does not exist.
The logically defensible positions about God are that He does exist, or that you don't know that He exists or not, depending on how you evaluate the evidence in favor of His existence.
God is not some european guy with a big ass beard playing The Sims: Genesis as a lot of people like to see. Most understand God is not a person, nor a sort of being.
God is everything. The earth, the wind, the sun, the rain. Yahweh, Allah, Odin, Talos, Zeus, etc. are all one in the same. It is the human perception of God.
The cosmos are God's "Kingdom".
The atoms that we are comprised of are all a part of God. Since matter cannot be created nor destroyed(Well, the information of that matter cannot be destroyed) then atoms have always been and always will be.
Also you seem like you're being an Atheist to be edgy. I have a few atheist friends who aren't quite agnostic, but understand the concept of God.
Listen starchild, I've been through enough of these religious arguments to know that nobody has the answer, and no one can be sure enough that God does or does not exist.
All I know is that America today looks exactly like revelations.
I am not an Atheist because given free will I still choose to believe in the Gospel of the Lord.
Anon. Telling someone to prove a negative is an obvious fallacy and it has been beaten to death here. When we say proof, we mean something that would hold up scientifically, not someone saying they met god or heard god.
Is there people on /pol/ that still dont realise religion was created to control people? If king or whoever tells you, you can*t kill, steal, fuck it wouldnt have same effect on you as God burning you in hell for not following orders.
Troll atheists that start flame wars makes people with rational opinion look like idiots. If it goes on maybe i will start indentify as muslim or something.
If you lie on an anonymous image board because your views get challenged by someone posting a picture of a fat man in a hat with literally no argument, you need to kill yourself.
When you say "the universe and God can both be eternal" than Occam's razor eliminates God, he becomes an unnecessary middle man.
If the universe can be eternal without God what's the proof for God?
This reminded me of that theory where the universe is so vast, it only takes one species intelligent enough to create a simulation of the universe and then if they made one, they might've made more.
So odds are that we're in a simulation, of a simulation.
In your part of the country, is being an atheist rare? It's very much the norm where I'm from. As I've already mentioned everyone I know under 60 is non-religious and this meme where they're all weirdos and freaks completely baffles me. Being christian is weird where I'm from.
Pic saved. Also saged thread
faith is a group evolutionary strategy. im not an atheist bc i understand thee usefulness of groupthink/act. taking the myths literally is fucking retarded but if someone asks me if i do i will say yes and what of it.
Imagine if you had to share politicians and legislation with more than half of Brits being devoted Christians even though you never had to deal with them in daily life. It's bizarre and pretty frustrating.
Because praying helps me sort out my life
Because I look at people like Mother Teresa and admire them
Because church gives a a wonderful community of friends
Because the idea that unchanging nothingness became the universe is a paradox
Because I find happiness in my relationship with God
Because my Christian friends are better people than my atheist friends
Because I love God
Because I want to have a Catholic wedding
Because I feel like I'm doing good when I donate and volunteer
Because internet atheists are dweebs
Because the Bible is a great moral guideline
Because I want my kids to grow up knowing God's love
Because I'm not afraid of God or hell
Because I want to be a good person for myself, others, and God
Because I find comfort and happiness in my religion
That's just some of them. There's a lifelong history of reasons that I love my religion.
its like watching two guys entering a room with 2 chairs,a table and a note.On the note its written "there a cat in the room".One guy have faith in the note and proclame there a cat in the room. The other guy look around and dont see any cat and proclame there no cat in the room. They now spend the rest of their lives argumenting about the existence of the cat instead of doing something useful with their life.
Turn the other cheek, the golden rule, pretty much every single parable, the entire life of Jesus, the Ten Commandments.
They're all excellent ways to live your life.
This is correct, it's meant to remove unnecessary baggage. Saying that God created the universe and just let it set there like a watchmaker means that if there is reason to believe the universe is eternal than God becomes unnecessary.
This is the problem with trying to use natural events where we can't explain the origin, as proof of God. It's just playing god of games and as soon as a naturalistic argument shows up to explain something it replaces the God theory. Because naturalistic arguments are much easier to prove and fit with what we already know about the world it's more meaningful.
So proofs for God's existence that relay on "explaining how stuff happens in nature" just seem to be defeated by science. The "you can only know God through faith" argument can explain why YOU personally believe in God but it cannot convince other people, you can't make an argument on nothing more than your personal feelings.
Arguing about why "religion is good" or "helps society" is not a proof for God, it's just saying the belief in of itself is useful even if it's all based on lies.
The vast majority of arguments for God are frankly self-defeating.
Not really. If you assume God created the universe in accordance to detectable physical laws then there's still the entire timeline of the universe for scientists to discover. The presence or absence of God make no difference at all until the very instant that matter and change came into existence, which we will never fully understand anyways.
Historical writings involving magic, creation myths and other myths are accepted as stories made up by men unless you're talking about the bible. There's literally no reason to believe those aspects are true.
Even if there is a god, a creator of the universe :
It definitely isn't god, jaweh or allah.
Sure, you want to believe there is some sort of purpose to life? That there is some driving force behind everything? Go ahead....
But if you seriously believe in any of the ridiculous religions that are around these days you have been cucked beyond all belief by an imaginary belief system.
If there is a god there is no point even thinking about it. He's definitally not going to ban me to hell for making a casino-like decision of which religion to choose. And whatever one you pick, you are going to hell in all the others. He's not going to burn me for masturbating or not eating halal.
Being religious = being cucked by imaginary sky monsters that were invented thousands of years ago by nomadic sand people.
It's like people in 3000 years believing in jack and the beanstalk.
Get a fucking grip of yourself
And using the Ten Commandments as one of many methods for teaching and discussing that concept to children is a bad thing because...?
>Do you have a particular problem with any of the Ten Commandments
Only four of them actually make any sense. The other ones are put in place to make sure you can't believe in any other god, talk badly about god, make images of god etc
Because it tells you that the most important thing in life is basing it off an imaginary character and his values which are actually the values of ancient desert jews from thousands of years ago.
I'm talking about the whole thing.
I was brought up non religiously, and from a pretty young age (as soon I was concious and had a memory basically) I knew it was wrong to steal, hurt others, etc.
People living in the rainforest as hunter gatherers know this, these are basic human concepts. You don't just go and kill someone, you dont steal from someone else.
To say you need a specific religion to teach you this is just absurd.
It's not a bad thing (except the whole god part). It's unnececary to say it's from god for them to understand why murder is wrong. Do you say you would kill anyone you like if it wasn't forbidden from a higher power, you monster.
If you reach the assumption through critical thinking and reflection that God created the universe according to detectable physical laws then it's a valid opinion to have. I guess you could say it's more of a theory or philosophy than an assumption.
Whenever you are pondering your faith your going to come to conclusions that can't be tested or proven because they operate outside of the bounds of what we know.
>opinion of science
Pick one, get outside, and ask atheists what has created the world, 99% chances they'll say big bang. YOUR opinion and the opinion of a few scientists have nothing to do with the opinion of all atheists.
So your issue is that you don't practice that faith and you think it's dumb that people practicing that faith have guidelines for how to worship and practice their faith?
Seems like an awfully silly argument.
Needless hyperbole. Nothing more.
I'm not saying you need religion. I'm saying that religion, as it deals with moral issues and spiritual wellness, is obligated to comment on issues of moral concern. The fact the Christianity has an stance on murder is not only a good thing, it's obligatory. I'm not sure why you have this idea that it's a fault.
See the other answers
I said that it's better to be with "a bunch of fedora wearing fatasses" (stereotypical atheist) that people who believe in fairy tales, I was implying that the stories in the bible are fairytales, not the events that actually happened, such as a man named Jesus being crucified etc. But the person who replied didn't realize I wasn't implying those events weren't real. old records and documents etc don't mean that the fairy tales in the bible are real.
Ignorant dismissal. Pathetic you can't do better than that.
I'll raise you this image as a retort.
Another idiotic strawman; gnostic atheism isn't all atheism.
Hasn't demonstrated his/her claim.
Because this is philosophy. There is no absolute right and wrong, only comparisons to value judgements. Trying to treat Christianity like physics is an inherently flawed paradigm.
Because I understand the comfort a belief in something, even a flying spaghetti monster can give me when I succumb to the harsh reality of death one day. Why should I pass up on that to hold some moral high ground over people that I will never be concerned with again?
It's not hyperbole. I was taught that if I didn't adhere to the values of an imaginary character, I would be tortured in hell for all eternity. That's not a good fucking thing to tell children.
So find something you believe in and believe it.
Do you know why that is true?
(for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified; for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them) in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel. (Romans 2)
It's true because it is properly in the Word of God.
I have a Ph.D in fucking your bitch, the bitch being your infantile grasp on theology. Atheists are huge fucking pussies. They think that they can cling to science to discredit God but really Science shows us the framework unto which creation and our existence is framed upon. Science does not disprove God and anyone who thinks so is absolutely fucking retarded.
Second, Atheists vehemently repeat and want to be heard of their apparent disbelief of God. They are afraid of taking responsibilities for their own lives and most importantly are scared of the idea of existence and the burden of sentience.
Atheists are honestly some of the dumbest people on the planet. They are scared shitless at the concept of their own creation and will try as hard as possible to deny themselves their part in the universe. Grow the fuck up.
Is it possible a supernatural entity inhabited the form of a very clever reptile? (Not a snake; the critter lost its legs as a curse.)
Is it possible that people have risen from the dead?
Is it possible that a supernatural entity can compress time and matter in one locality so as to miraculously turn water into wine?
Is it possible the bible was never intended to be a book of fairy tales?
No I answered you. if you don't believe hell is a great concept why believe in it? Who told you you have to believe whatever some dude stuffs down your throat because he has a collar? Why is his brand of Christianity preferred. Believe what makes you feel good, whatever that may be at the end of the day.
Because the Bible, Koran, etc. are all the human perception of God.
And the books are antiquated. I'm not speaking for Christianity or Islam or anything like that. I'm speaking for God. Which, in reality God is only a title given by humans.
what amuses me is that Christians or other religious people will just use science and the big bang as a cop out for their precious "god".
>hurr god is reel becuz we dun kno nothing b4 da big bang!
>hurr i don't have to beleive in heaven or hell 2 beleive in gawd!
>the bible? god is an theory, a concept about how the universe came to be!
religious people, just stay away from science.
I don't hate god, I hate religion.
>most atheists are typically more autistic and have a worse quality of life
>Literally being religious in 2015.
Religion is just a tool used to control the masses, if you can't realize that then you are retarded.
>So your issue is that you don't practice that faith and you think it's dumb that people practicing that faith have guidelines for how to worship and practice their faith?
No, I think its dumb that gods 'ultimate rules' consist almost half of rules to make sure no one worships anyone else ;)
God in the old testament is also a complete cunt
Not really. There are like 20 something versions of Christianity that don't have a concept of hell. Hell itself was made up during the Dark Ages and added into the bible as a solution to a theological issue they had with providing forgiveness for money.
What i don't understand is why you are so stuck on that part? Why not just ignore that part and move on with your own faith in something? You are the important part, not anybody else. Believe what you will and don't believe what you don't. If hell sucks from your perspective then why even pretend it's relevant?
What better source to know about God than the Word He gave to His prophets, and His servants, and His Son?
I agree that a personal relationship with open lines of communication is superior, but how do you get there without knowing The Way?
Nice revisionist history faggot, nice try but guaranteed you weren't here until 2013, 4chan has always, ALWAYS been religious. Atheists were always shit when this site was in it's infancy in 2005, stop pretending you know what you are talking about.
You are correct. The root of religion is "religio", and means "a system of bondage".
All religions are man's attempts to reach up to God.
In only one instance did God come to earth to reach down to us. Being born again isn't a religion; it's being set free from the bondages of life, including of religion.
The word for image used in Genesis 1 is "tselem" which means "likeness" and "image". Despite its usage, its main definition means "something that looks like" so, God made man in He man in His tselem, it means He made man to look like Himself.
Nice meme picture, really shows the belief system of atheists, just cynical illiterate faggots, who can't even read the very thing they very hate. Know your enemy faggot, you and every atheist are a fucking joke.
Hell is a place, not a belief. Jesus spoke of it many times. Many, many times. It is to be avoided at all costs.
Does the existence of a place depend on how many people of what philosophies believe in it?
I agree with you that all of those things are possible. Look into them, and you might surprise yourself into believing they actually happened, no matter how unlikely they seem at first blush.
But they aren't your kids. If i want to raise an autistic piece of shit that thinks pink is yellow, that is my business. Do you, let them fuck their kids up and move the fuck on with your life. Why so concerned with the idiot brigades actions as seen form your point of view? It's almost like you have some unnatrual obsession with "saving" them.
So you don't know why your image is wrong. You think that's what atheists think because that's your understanding of the big bang. In reality, an 8th grader can tell you why that image is wrong, but you can't. Why? Because you're another dumb christian who doesn't have the slightest grasp on science.
God is not literally everything; He created us, and our earth, atmo, and space, outside of Himself and outside of His space. Everything that was created, He created.
He is a person, not a universe.
By your reasoning, it is an effective tool to stop the spread of satanic lies. I myself have never posted an image, but I note that the image is often posted by unbelievers, not believers.
>In reality, an 8th grader can tell you why that image is wrong, but you can't.
A few /pol/tards redpilled doesn't represent all atheists, most of them are stupid who think big bang was the beginning of all and you can say shit for hours it won't change this fuckin fact.
Physicists have tried to disprove God, they couldn't, in fact the evidence they came up with to how fine tuned the universe was gave us a 1 in trillion^9 probability of existing. The idea was that the universe existed for consciousness to be formed, basically the universe exists for us. And what do atheists do? They deny God still and make the ultimate strawman of all time, simulation theory. The theory that contends that because computer simulations exist, the probability of us being in a simulation is very high due to the retarded idea that we would simulate reality for our benefit for computational power. Think about it, this is how hard atheists have to try to disprove God. Almost certainly you have no scientific background or any education for that matter, you are nothing, you are the reactionary teen who is upset at daddy for your own cynicism. Eat shit.
Why were there atheists who met with, spoke to, and were confounded by Jesus Christ Himself? Why was not the entire world converted when Jesus rose from the dead, and was there in Jerusalem for 40 days to be studied, analyzed, and conversed with?
Does it not follow that mankind is totally depraved? Broken? Cursed? Sinful?
Actually no, The concept of Hell was added into written and theological tenets of Christianity as an appropriate response to dwindling usage of indulgences. Before its existence, Satan had been cast out, not down. There was no specific place he was sent, he was not a ruler. His punishment according to the bible would be isolation from God himself. The masses however needed something to push them to seek forgiveness from traveling friars. Friars would sell indulgences which would remove sin form you, for a price. Why buy it if there was no ultimate repercussions for your actions, unless your love for god wasn't enough. Religions do evolve over time to fit the business and theological needs of their believers.
Because im an agnostic shintoist atheist and i dont think its the same thing than you
No man. The fedora meme is used here constantly by Christians to try and devalue the statements and views of the non-religious
People don't rise from the dead after three days and fly into the sky, humans can't walk on water, turn water into wine, multiply food at their whim, heal the blind and sick with a wave of the hand and you can't impregnate a woman without another human's genetic material. Jesus if he was real, was a human person with no magic powers. I'm talking about catechism. We called it CCD.
I doubt it. He's usually depicted as robed.
As the Sword of the Lord proceeds from His mouth, it will probably be something He says while He is sitting on His Great White Throne, and you are beneath Him being judged on whether or not you are like Him.
I will not face Him like that.
Ask me how.
Because many people tried to deny his place as the son of God, skeptics like yourself lead to his death, and perpetuated the degeneracy that we have today. You are broken, you denied yourself your place in the universe, we are all connected spiritually. I bet you are one of those sophomoric faggots who makes arguments like "hurrr if God exists why does bad things happen to good people?" Before you tip your fedora it's free will.
So you are afraid of the future not turning out the way you envision it to be. You believe that if religious people continue to breed their religious beliefs they will drown out your voice in a sea of believers. The country will become what they want instead of what you want. You sound like the loser in a war of beliefs. Why should we care about the losing side of a conflict. If you can't win the conflict then why should we care?
So, by person you mean like, average joe schmo who carries out his landlady's garbage? Why call someone like this a god? It's not like he is a supreme being who can control or do anything. He just created the universe. We are a petri dish. Anything that happens within is not of intelligent design.
I used to be atheist, but after thinking over it so much, I've turned to deism, it just seems too improbable that this universe just came into existance, and I know the whole argument of who is God's god, but I'd much rather put my faith in a being that could create the universe, than it being created from... nothing?
The sheer improbability of sentience literally made physicist anally devastated. They knew that they basically discredited themselves, instead of finding proof that we didn't need a creator, they became closer to understanding that there is probably an order to the chaos, God essentially, and instead of accepting it they come up with simulation theory, that we are our own Gods, doesn't get any more embarrassing than that honestly.
>your Divine concept of time and the universe
Where is the concept of time and the universe explained in the bible, yo?
Seeing =/= being able to do the miracles yourself.
Written in 95 AD, well before the establishment of Romanism:
Revelation 19:20 Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.
Revelation 20:10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
Revelation 20:14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Revelation 20:15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
Okay there's Christians and then there's people like you, acting as if your religion is your fucking life, I don't wanna be rude but could you actually not be biased and see both sides of things? You're probably talking about people who had near death experiences where they actually died for a moment, at death a chemical is released which causes what is basically a dream to happen. Everything after "Himself?" makes literally no sense I have no idea what you're talking about.
I've seen so called "evidence" doing psychedelics before
I've had an extremely spiritual experience when I did DMT alone for the first time
Was it God? Who knows, but Christian dogma and depictions had nothing to do with it, that's for sure
Says who? You? I saw trolls using it to piss off atheists.
You thought you saw christians using it to troll atheists.
What evidence do you have that the trolls were born again Christians?
Except we all have the subconscious understanding that we have a creator. God is apart of us and always was, you have to actively try to deceive yourself to prove to yourself his non-existence, something I know you don't truly believe, you want it to be true though, because then that would mean that your worthless existence isn't your responsibility, that life is meaningless. It's self defeating and the ultimate cuckolding.
1. Adults with imaginary friends aren't stupid, they're schizophrenic.
2. Having or supporting a theory about an entity credited with creating and governing the universe != having an imaginary friend.
Incorrect. It is only defined as cast out of heaven. Reference to to the specificality of "hell" never existed. There was no "place" before the Council of Archbishops created it during the Dark Ages. Translators automatical translate it as hell because they have grown up with the idea of hell in their culture. Sort of like how people think you need a diamond ring to propose to a women when diamond engagement rings didn't exists before the 20s.
Actually, given how, and I have seen this before my eyes, the majority of the world belongs to satan, I have a better idea of where the footage may have gone.
You can't seriously pretend to ignore one of the most important aspects of the religion: the fact that most people belong to the devil and fool the world, and pretend evidence would be celebrated and showed arround.
Living being, they produce faith that make gods
And the more religious people believe a god the stronger he is
And atheist, since they actively believe nothing exist, their faith hurt the gods until they outnumber the religious people and then they will kill the gods
Nothing was dis-proven, you are a joke, you don't even know what you are talking about, nor the scientific background to even come up with a conclusion for yourself. God is everything, he is the very fabric of the universe, he is us, and we are all part of a cosmic organism. Physics is coming closer and closer to this realization by the day.
I'm not christian though... I'm just logically picking at your comments. You are the one that proposed their children would ruin the country. I just ran with the idea that you proposed. How can they ruin something that you are winning? You sound confused.
How many times has revelation been rewritten do you want to take a guess? Do you think the original word they wrote down was Hades? or maybe something else? Was he originally called the devil? or was it something else?
Apparently being politically incorrect means you have to be extremely right-wing/traditional. There are literally Fox news shills on here right now
Also, this thread confirms my stance that /pol/ isn't all one collective mindset.
Sure you did, and surely you are a normal person and not of the devil.
>hurr my satan is berry powerful
Cool, show off then, that we may see it. Go start an apocalyptic fight.
And? I am a scientist who believes in God, what you see there are retards who use religion so they don't have to think, they don't ask the big questions and don't even know how to formulate it. Just how you reddit tier atheists are uneducated fucks just like them who cling to your heroes like Dawkins to tell you it's alright, existence is meaningless, we are here without purpose. Get fucking real kid.
There are many issues with catholicism, I'm an ex-catholic myself. I disagree with you on the resurrection of the dead, though as it is a main tenant of christianity. Also, it is possible to turn water into wine. If you deny the divinity of Christ though, it's perfectly understandable that you would deny the existence of miracles as well, even tiny ones.
I believe it is the god delusion TV series
Of the two of us, only I can see both sides, because only I have been on both sides.
You think Jesus saved me because of something I am, or did?
No, Jesus saved me because He loves me.
He loves you too.
How so? if they are dying out why does their actions cause problems for your future of the country? You don't make a valid case for restricting the freedom of people to believe/act what they want to believe and how they want to act.
How can I take your word for it, when you have never demonstrated to me that you are able to tell the difference between a catholic, a christian, and somebody who just says they're a christian?
Just because you don't consider other type of Christian, Christian doesn't mean that makes sense to anybody else. A Christian is a Christian, it doesn't matter if you think your interpretation of the magic book is right.
You're projecting your embarrassment on to me. And that's good, but you should be embarrassed
This is probably why he never got an answer, he looked for Jesus whom doesn't exist.
Actually, last I heard, Jesus is a 5th century name, so I'm doubtful its the name of the person you're referring to.
Not really honestly, I know science, you don't, you have no idea how amazing this universe is and how incredible it is to have consciousness. You are also probably underage, but you will grow out of it later.
Hades/Sheol (Greek/Hebrew) is not Gehenna/Lake of Fire/Hell, nor is Gehenna limited to just the ever burning trash dump outside of Jerusalem. That trash dump was a picture of hell.
Revelation was never re-written. It has been translated into hundreds of languages. It comes with both a blessing to people who read it, and a curse to anyone who takes anything away from it.
Taking the lake of fire out of Revelation would incur the wrath of God Himself. He wants people to know how evil sin is, how much He detests it, and the lengths to which He will not only punish it, but the lengths He went to provide an escape.
I'm an atheist but I have been interested and fascinated with shaman rituals and psychonauts for a long time.
I always found it intriguing how the use of plants, and other natural materials gave way to this experience, and how your pineal gland functions as a closed "third eye".
Oh shit, didn't know you were illiterate. These are actually something called words, they aren't pictures. Sorry mate <3
Read that again, science goes hand in hand with God, that's what we are doing, figuring out exactly how this works. Why are atheists so retarded that they can't clearly see that these two things have always been deeply connected?
> started with
> muh dark ages
> muh opium of the masses
> ended with
> your friends are imaginary
> muh black holes
> myh dark energy
> muh torus universe
> this is why you must:
> - abolish your culture
> - suck nigger dick
> - get cucked
Luke 16 Jesus' parable describes "hades" (translated as "hell" in some versions) as a fiery place of torment, for those who refuse to follow the scriptures. The manuscript predates the Council of Archbishops by quite a few centuries.
>It takes just as much faith to not believe in God
what? on what basis? obviously something created the universe, but i don't have to call it a god. to insinuate that some magical grandpa farted out adam and eve created a race of inbred creatures is hilarious.
The complexity of the universe being difficult for the human brain to comprehend does literally nothing to lead someone to the belief that Christianity is true. It makes perfect sense well within the context of science.
It's honestly sad that you are so uneducated that you can't even form coherent arguments by yourself. You actually have to post pictures of other peoples logic in order to justify your own. That's almost as bad as evangelicals. You are a hypocrisy and it is glorious to see how retarded you actually are, so much for being enlightened, huh?
First off all the idea that God is human is retarded, much like your arguments, Michelangelo drew that to depict his own belief, God is unimaginable, we can't comprehend his existence, or apply human attributes to him.
By definition, deists believe there is a God.
James 2:19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!
Since 1 demon could, and would, unrestrained, kill all humanity, this is kind of a big deal.
The more and more physics and theoretical physics becomes more advanced, the closer they get to the idea that something must have put this all together. Your own science that you cling too(wrongly so because you are a NEET who will never get a higher education) even cannot deal with this problem.
The natural consequences of being born spiritually dead, never receiving the Holy Spirit of God, remaining spiritually dead until my physical death, and then the eventual trial and judgment of eternal separation from God in pitch black eternal flames.
It was a fairly heroic effort that only God could perform. How could I deny Him my love? My life? My all?
>1 demon could, and would, unrestrained, kill all humanity
Let's see if this rings true.
"We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one."
Oh w8 no, most humans are actually devils themselves.
Christianity isn't dying because you have yet to even find the TRUE christian church.
BTW those ones don't even follow Jesus, as that was not the name given for salvation. KEK
Keep on proving my point, I already know you are uneducated, the more you do this the more I smile because in reality you are showing just how infantile your world views are. This shit is hilarious.
Jesus stuck around for a bit before flying away. Just because we have never seen these miracles happen does not they haven't. My question to you though is whether or not you would believe something was a miracle if it happened before your eyes.
Words mean things. When I say Christian, I mean born again new creation in Christ Jesus, a person with the Holy Spirit living in them, headed to heaven.
Your use of the word "Chrsitian" is far less rigorous to the point where a neo-nazi anti-semite who says he's a christian, is a christian..
>First off all the idea that God is human is retarded, much like your arguments, Michelangelo drew that to depict his own belief, God is unimaginable, we can't comprehend his existence, or apply human attributes to him.
so your saying god is just an idea, not even a theory. That doesn't make it a god. That makes it an abstract attribute in the context of creation waiting to be discovered by people who don't waste time believing in fairy tales. the idea of a "god" and science do not mix. god is an object of faith.
Yeshua is also the root for Joshua, who led the Hebrews into the Promised Land 3500 years ago. Name's been around for a while.
Jesus is the most famous person on earth, written of in the best selling book of all time. He's not obscure.
>you are showing just how infantile your world views are
Yes, we've already established you're projecting
Intelligent design is just that, evolution, the mechanism in which we came to exist. How is this so hard for atheists to understand? How can you cling to science to disprove God, it's hypocrisy at it's finest.
You lose until you formulate an actual argument by yourself, try being a big boy and not a 14 year old millennial who just read the God Delusion.
Fedora pics just have "*tips fedora*" or "EUPHORIC" written on them. What anon is doing is posting actual sentences in his images that can be seen as arguments instead of "you atheists are wearing some kind of a hat".
>posts reaction pics and arguments that every underage tween comes up with to disprove God purely based on angst.
Hilarious, keep going, remember you lose until you make an actual coherent argument.
>You lose until you formulate an actual argument by yourself
Argument for what?
It's not a parable; it's a peek behind the curtain. There is no higher story to it, and one of the persons is named, and the other identified. The people listening to the story knew who Jesus was talking about.
I'm really struggling to comprehend if you're actually serious about everything you say or you're just trolling, I hope you're disappointed after death when you find God isn't real
Because it was proven to be a hoax, beyond any reasonable doubt.
Science does not disprove God, evolution from the primordial soup that our amino acids lead to the basis of our existence is just that, intelligent design.
Why not? There are rules in the universe, God is nature and the universe must abide by those rules. How does evolution disprove God? That's why I can't take atheists seriously, they have the weakest arguments on the planet.
Kek, keep going, every picture without an argument only proves to you and me just how inferior you are intellectually.
Christianity is dying worldwide and in the US. It's objective fact.
With evolution, you don't need god in the story. There's no room for him to do anything. It also completely disproves genesis.
>Kek, keep going, every picture without an argument only proves to you and me just how inferior you are intellectually
Whoa, no need to tip your fedora so hard. I didn't know we were arguing. What am I arguing for again?
It's definitely a parable because you can replace Jesus with Lazarus and Abraham with God in the parable. It's describing the affects of the unpardonable sin such as what Judas experienced; He wouldn't allow God to forgive him so the great divide was formed and he had a powerful thirst that couldn't be quenched. It's suffering.
That definition is widely retarded, intelligent design doesn't mean that evolution and the basic fundamental laws of our universe don't apply to God. We exist and the mechanism of that existence is divine in nature.
He used evolution to create us, that divine intelligence used that as a mechanism for our consciousness and our sentience.
Read something Hans, get a physics book, or shit just get spoonfed on youtube or something.
“Behold, God is great, and we do not know Him;
Nor can the number of His years be discovered.
This is Elihu speaking, the young man whom God praised.
Elihu is right. They did not know God. This is in Abraham's time, when really only Abraham knew God. This is obviously before Jesus incarnated as the Son of Man.
We cannot number the years of God, because He is eternal. Not very old, eternal.
This verse does not say what you want it to say.
For us to have sentience is a 1 in a trillion^9th probability. Your sophomoric understanding of biology again does not disprove God. These are the mechanism that were used for our creation. Get it through your head, Science and God goes hand in hand. To know the nature of the universe is to understand God.
I can only guess.
And I'm guessing since we have this "most of mankind are really demons" it does have something to do with that.
I find it hilarious that the actual demons go calling others out.
It applies to anyone that has ever thanked God for something they got, like food or whatever
>like food or whatever
This is what happens when you actually try to confer your own ideas about creation. Holy shit my sides.
if you are taught about Jesus, you can then be judged for not accepting Jesus... so preaching about Jesus just so they would disagree would put them into danger.
it's right there in the bible
Not at all, I have the most open idea of God there is. Our universe is bound together by the very fabric of his existence, to know the physical laws of the universe is to peer into the methodology of our creation.
>if you can thank him, you can blame him
Holy fuck I can't stop laughing, please keep going, these week literally freshman level statements are just great. I strongly believe you are underage and just really stupid. Honestly at your age I was reading Nietzsche and getting real serious about not believing in God, you should try Nihilism at least, at the very least you would be somewhat respectable, at this conjecture you are a fucking joke though, but at least I get to laugh at your expense, your downright inferiority.
>For us to have sentience is a 1 in a trillion^9th probability
Complete nonsense probability pulled out of your ass. Calling my understanding of biology sophomoric when you're incorporating magic is hilarious.
